Chapter 295: Investigate

It wasn’t long before Oliver came out of the bathroom, dressed in a gray shirt and black trousers. His hair is neatly combed, and his face looks clean. Now, he seems like the CEO of the Wilson Group, different from his previous appearance.

The temperature in mid-August in the capital was quite hot, but the three of them still decided to walk to the Mogul Mega Mall. Rose, who walks beside Oliver, uses this opportunity to ask him about his family’s condition in Nova city.

"Grandma is fine. That old woman is really lucky. Yesterday she flew to East City to visit her friend...." Oliver chuckled as they walked across the street.

"How did you know? Did you manage to reach her?" Rose was relieved to hear that Oliver’s grandmother was okay.

"My call was connected, but no one picked up. So I hacked Grandma’s cellphone and found the history of buying plane tickets to the East. Then, I checked the CCTV at the airport of Nova City and East City. Thank God I found her. Well, she arrived safely in East City yesterday."

"Wah... Grandma is really lucky, huh!"

"Yeah, she’s lucky. I talked to her before I fell asleep." Oliver paused when they entered the shopping center, and a cool breeze enveloped him. He feels much better after walking under the hot sun. "Physically, grandma is healthy and safe, but mentally she is not. She is stressed because some of her neighbors have died and been injured." His lips trembled as he finished his words.

"I hope she can forget about this," said Rose worriedly. "What about her next plan? Is she going back to Nova city? Or settling in the East?

"Meanwhile, she will be living in the East. Coincidentally in that city, she still has many friends."

Before they arrive at the restaurant, Rose remembers to ask Oliver to investigate today’s bombing.

"Do you believe the news that the explosion was just a gas pipe explosion?" Rose asked, glancing at him. She wanted to see his expression.

"Of course. Do you still think it was a terrorist attack?" His brow furrowed. Confused.

Rose smirk. As expected. Oliver would definitely think like the rest of the citizens; Trust the news narrative. Gosh!

"Listen... Oliver," Rose looked around. After only they and Sam were a few steps behind, she slightly tilted her head towards Oliver before saying, "I still believe this incident was a terrorist attack. If what I think is correct, then the explosion is not as simple as you think. However, it was an attack by an organization that wanted to wreak havoc in this country...."

Oliver suddenly stopped walking. His sharp eyes looked at Rose, who stopped and stared at him.

Is this girl drunk? Why is she talking nonsense like this? Oliver thought. He ultimately didn’t understand how Rose’s mind worked. This girl is too creative to tell a story like this. Damn!

"Keep walking! Or Sam will hear what we’re talking about." After Oliver walked again, she continued. "If you don’t believe me... after we finish lunch, you can investigate. You will find the answer; by then, you will not think I am crazy to tell you this!" She whispered.

"Don’t forget to send me everything you’ve got!" Rose smiled when she saw Oliver’s face turn pale.

She wanted to find out who was involved. Because of her vague memory, she was sure she could figure out the real culprit. Because in the past, the perpetrators were only found after several more bombs exploded. She would check and give clues to the authorities, through her grandfather or father, about the locations of other bombs.

But now she has a problem. How can she tell them?

Is it impossible to tell them about her rebirth, right? Maybe her parents and grandpa would call her a crazy woman if she did that. So, she had to look for evidence and find a way to tell them.

Oliver’s brow furrowed at Rose’s request. Why did she want to investigate this case?

Not hearing Oliver answer her question, she asked again, "Oliv, can you do it?"

"Of course! Getting this information is very easy. But why do you want to know? It has nothing to do with our business, right?"

There was no way Rose could tell Oliver there would be another bomb. She was sure this man would be suspicious of her if she did that.

She would never tell Oliver or anyone else that she knew about this incident from her previous life because she was reborn. This secret will be with her until she dies.

"Did you forget that I make money on the stock market? News like this greatly affects the stock market. So, I need all the info about this incident to find out the market’s direction in the next few days..." explained Rose. She was sure Oliver would believe what she said.

"Oh, I see. Alright, I’ll find everything you need to know. "

Soon they arrived at a Japanese restaurant, their favorite place for lunch.

When the three arrived, various dishes were already on the table. James and the others had already started eating.

"I can’t believe you guys eat first without waiting for us!?" Oliver immediately sat down between Danny and James. Then looking at Danny, he put his arm around his shoulder before saying, "Man... Thanks for the treat. Is today your birthday?"

Without waiting for Danny to answer, she started eating.

Danny smiled at Oliver, but inside his mind, he was cursing. He couldn’t blame anyone but himself. He dug his own grave. Earlier, he had invited Rose alone. But now, these men all came along with her. They will participate in emptying his wallet.

"Hahaha, man, it’s not my birthday, but if you want to give me a present, I won’t refuse."

"Wow! You are really generous, Danny! Improve that. Next time treat again, huh...." Oliver smirked while stuffing the salmon into his mouth.

Danny was speechless.

"Yup! No worries, man. Eat more. You need to eat a lot to make your pale face more colorful." Danny was tired of talking to this shameless CEO. Yet among them, he was the richest.
