Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny -
Chapter 293: Market Crash
Chapter 293: Market Crash
Rose tried to ease her anxiety by visiting the TradingView website.
She wants to know the impact of the explosion in Nova City. Will it affect the movement of the stock index this morning?
Rose had previously expected that the Astington Composite Index had fallen but not as badly as she had imagined.
Why is the market moving as if nothing terrible has happened?
Something’s wrong here!
Wait.
Rose immediately typed the business news portal she used to visit. While reading, she felt strange because today’s news seemed to be manipulated. As Evan said earlier, the explosion was caused by a leaking gas pipe. There is no news of the terrorist attack on Nova City.
No wonder the stock market didn’t react the way she expected.
In her past life, after the bombing in Nova city, the Astington Composite Index was directly affected. That day, the price of the Astington Composite Index immediately touched its lowest level in the past year. Many small investors suffered heavy losses, and foreign investors withdrew their funds from the country. The economic crisis that hit Astington was unavoidable.
But it seems that the incident was different this time, or maybe it didn’t happen this morning. Just perhaps react in the second session of stock trading after lunch?
For now, Rose will have to wait and see and do nothing else. She knew very well that a market crash like this would open a huge opportunity for her. She will buy stocks that would drop rapidly shortly after the incident and at the beginning of the crisis.
Perfect timing and patience are two of the few essential things a trader like her should have. She will buy at the right time when the market is crashing, and everyone is panicking to sell. But, before that, she will do research. Which company is worth buying? Even a company with a good foundation will suffer the effect of the crisis.
"Boss!" Suddenly playboy Danny entered Rose’s office with his usual charm. "I thought you weren’t in the office. It’s past lunchtime. Let’s have lunch, Boss..." He entered and walked over to Rose’s desk.
Rose was surprised to hear Danny’s charming voice. She slowly raised her head to see the man standing before her desk. She didn’t realize she had spent the morning recapping the company that would earn her a lot of money.
"Gosh, I feel I’ve only been working for a while. How come it’s lunchtime?" She leaned back in the chair, stretching her arms up. Sitting staring at the laptop screen for a long time made her feel stiff.
"What are you doing? How can you lose track of time?" Danny tries to steal glances at her laptop screen, and he’s dumbfounded. "Boss, don’t buy anything. The market is about to crash. You’d better stay away from the stock market for now..."
Hearing Danny’s words startled Rose. So, she wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Danny could guess too. Does he also know about the terrorist attack?
"No worries. I’m not buying. I am just trying to recap what companies I will buy in the next few days...." She closed her laptop. She has already finished her research.
"Huh!? Y-You’re doing research?" For the first time, Danny heard this girl doing market research.
Of the five people in the chat group, this girl is famous for not doing market research for stock picks. She is the type of person who will wait for results. Usually, those who do that, Evan and James, will share in the chat group. However, after they graduated and everyone started focusing on their own life and work, their group chat became quiet.
"Hmm, I did. You want to see it?"
"Yeah. Send your research to our group chat. Let’s discuss it with the others...." Danny is curious to know her stock pick.
Since working at the Wilson Group, Danny could count how often they discussed trading ideas. Everyone is busy with their business, and the market is also moving sideways. However, today there are indications that the market will crash due to the bombing in Nova city.
As a trader who likes scalping* Danny is prepared to utilize everything he knows about stock trading to take profits at times like this.
"Okay, I’ll send what I’ve had later." Rose joined Danny in the seating area. "Has Sam arrived yet?" She remembered her husband’s warning that she could only leave the building if Sam was with her.
"Yeah. I saw Sam here when he’s entering Oliver’s room..."
Rose suddenly thought of Oliver. His grandmother lives in Nova City. Is his grandmother alright? Why didn’t he say anything to her if everything was okay there?
"Before coming to your office, I stopped by Oliver’s room. I saw him sleeping like a baby." Danny continued.
Rose chuckled, "That guy is acting like a vampire again. He hasn’t slept for a few days..."
"Shit! That single dog . . . He needs to find a woman to warm his bed." Danny laughed before continuing his words, "Boss, you better scold him, don’t let him sleep too much in the office. How can he get his future wife if he camps here too often?"
"Can you stop talking about this kind of topic? Especially in our Office group chat?" Rose sends a deathly glare at Danny.
Danny rolls his eyes.
"Oh, please, Rose! If only you understood our hearts that are always tormented by your PDA with Evan, surely you wouldn’t have the heart to say something like that..." Danny smirked at the silent Rose.
He looked at the black sports watch on his arm, "Boss, it’s past lunch. What do you want to eat? Let me treat you..." he continued.
"Thanks, Danny, for taking us to lunch... wow, it’s been a while since we got a free lunch!" Randy suddenly appeared. Beside him stood James.
"Let’s eat sushi today... We haven’t eaten at the sushi restaurant in Mogul Mall in a long time. Oliver’s favorite restaurant..." said James.
Danny was speechless. Since when did he say he would treat them to lunch? He just wanted to take Rose. Damn it!
