Nicholas Spencer, who had only been listening to their conversation, finally spoke. "Daughter, I also find it strange why Evan and you don’t want to have children now. You two are mature and established. So, there’s no more reason to start having a small family, right?"

Rose was utterly speechless. She didn’t expect her teasing to turn against her. Several times she cursed herself in her mind for starting this conversation.

Now she had no choice but, to be honest with them.

She was silent for a moment, thinking about what she should say.

"Mom, Dad, In the past, I thought, I want to focus on growing my company, the Wilson Group, so that I can stand on an equal footing with Evan. That’s why I asked Evan to postpone having children. I still want to enjoy a childless marriage. After all, Evan and I are young. We’re still twenty-two. But, mm-mmm..." Before Rose could finish her sentence, her mother interrupted.

"Rose Spencer!! Mom, can’t believe you have such thoughts. Why do you want to prove to Evan that you can match him?" Molly was disappointed to hear her daughter’s irrational reasoning. "Does Evan love you? Why bother thinking like that?"

Rose was stunned. Did she misspeak? Again!? Damn it! She better shut her mouth. Gosh!

"Mom, that’s not what I meant...." She used to think so. But now that her true identity was revealed, she didn’t have to worry about that anymore. She’s the daughter of Nicholas Spencer, and now, her father-in-law, Anthony Collins liked her.

Now Molly was upset. However, she misunderstood what Rose was trying to say.

Instantly Rose felt her mind tired, "Okay, mom, can we stop talking about this? Well, I promise you, I will give you a cute grandchild soon. Don’t worry." She smirked, trying to persuade her sulky mother.

"My daughter, you have to remember, you’re Spencer. You don’t have to worry about your social status. We’re way better than anyone else in this country..." Nicholas Spencer’s words made Rose even dizzier.

Gosh! Rose was getting tired of continuing this conversation. "Father. I understand." She said while trying to end this awkward conversation.

"Daughter, It’s good that you understand." He smiled at her.

Nicholas could understand why his daughter thought that way. Because most people think so, to get into a big family like the Collins took a lot of courage. The Collins had a different philosophy than the Spencers. Especially his best friend Anthony Collins, his mind is very old-fashioned. He always wanted a prospective daughter-in-law from a well-known, wealthy, respected family.

Thinking of this made Nicholas freeze. A thought crosses his mind; Anthony Collins refuses his daughter to marry Evan.

"Daughter!" Nicholas’ cold voice made Rose look at him worriedly.

She froze when she saw her father’s face darken.

Why does he look so angry!?

"Did Anthony Collins turn you down?" Nicholas Spencer continued. His hands clenched into fists, holding back anger.

Molly, sitting beside Nicholas, was also surprised to hear her husband’s words. She worries that her daughter was facing difficulty before marrying Evan.

Rose, "..."

How could her father guess correctly?

"Yes! He firmly rejected me as his daughter-in-law. He said because my last name doesn’t carry my father’s name..." Rose wanted to say that, but her sane mind forbade her. If her father had found out, Anthony Collins would have been beaten by her father. She knew how keen and capable her father was of protecting them. Even though she had only known her father for a few weeks, she could feel that he was very protective of her and her mother.

Rose didn’t want to make a fuss between her father and in-laws. Their relationship is now harmonious. She was sure her father-in-law would regret his one-time skepticism towards her.

"Dad, No. My father and mother-in-law immediately like me when they see me. Well, I inherited my mother’s talent for being able to charm others, I guess..." Rose quickly answered while praising her mother.

Nicholas suddenly laughed at his daughter’s words. "Indeed! You’re right. No one will deny how charming your mother is. Including me..." Nicholas took Molly’s hand and squeezed it gently while tilting his head to look at his blushing wife smiling at him.

Rose was relieved to be able to avoid the conversation. But then her head suddenly felt spinning, seeing the intimacy of her parents.

"Oh please, father, stop doing PDA in front of me!" But of course, her father ignored her plea. He even kissed her mother. Damn!

Quickly, Rose buried her eyes with her palm. She is this old but still feels too shy to see them making out before her. Rose feels like a child again. But she feels like a happier child than she was in her previous life.

"Dad, Mom, please stop! Can you hear me, please..." She shouted, making her father stop kissing her mother. "I’m graduating this weekend. So, I hope you guys can come to the East City to attend the ceremony...."

Rose explained her plans, including that Evan, her beloved husband, was going there this weekend and would stay a few days in the city.

She wanted to visit her grandparents’ graves with her father and husband. Besides, she wanted to meet the evil woman who tortured her mother to clear up the woman’s misunderstanding toward her. She didn’t want this matter to bother her for long.

Molly and Nicholas were happy to hear that. Especially Molly. She had to settle many things in the East City before settling down in the capital to live with Nick.

"Mom and Dad are going to your graduation ceremony. I will ask Aunt Nora to clean the house. You and Evan should stay at our house..." Molly said excitedly. She couldn’t wait to show her husband where she raised their daughter.

Immediately Rose excused herself.

She didn’t want to be in that room and witness the intimacy of her father and mother.

After witnessing the intimacy of her parents, Rose suddenly misses her husband. Can’t wait to see him.
