Ten days had passed since Molly Wilson had woken up from a coma.

Rose spent a lot of time in the hospital. She patiently accompanied her mother through various therapies. But even though Rose was busy at the hospital, she didn’t neglect her company, the Wilson Group. Her company’s business is increasing and needs more attention from her. She always stopped by her office, even if only briefly. Or, even if she couldn’t, she would talk to Oliver or the others over the phone.

There was progress in the game development division, King Game Company. The company will be launching a new game in a few weeks, which makes Rose very excited because Oliver’s team was able to make a Game like never before. She gave them cheats from a future game she had played.

Other companies, such as Rapid Realty, are currently in the recovery phase after taking over the old management. She would not rush to restore the glory of this company. She had grand plans to turn this bankrupt company into the Wilson Group’s most significant source of income.

Over the past ten days, the Spencers had visited Molly Wilson frequently in the hospital. Molly Wilson didn’t take long to become close and comfortable with her husband’s family, especially her chatty and enthusiastic sister-in-law Amanda Spencer. Not only can Amanda comfort her, but Jayson Spencer’s wife, Emily Stearn. She immediately liked Emily Stearn because she was like her sister, Doris Stearns.

Rose is delighted with her mother, who is getting closer to her father’s family. Now her mother has a new friend. After so many years, she lost her friends because she was too busy caring for her daughter while her friends were busy pursuing their careers. Gradually, one by one, all her college friends disappeared from her mother’s life.

This morning Molly Wilson was out of the hospital.

Even though Molly Wilson is now officially the wife of Nicholas Spencer, Rose wants her mother to stay one night in Little Heaven. It’s the house she bought for her mother before her father takes her into the Spencers’ place as his wife. Tomorrow morning, they will hold a wedding reception there.

The family released no official announcement of Nicholas Spencer’s marriage. The wedding will only be attended by family members.

In fact, Rose didn’t tell her best friend about her mother’s marriage at all. Because she didn’t want her identity as Nicholas Spencer’s daughter to be known. It’s not time for them to know. Not yet.

And tonight was her mother’s first and last night staying at the house she bought for her. They were going to have dinner with her family and Evan’s family. And, of course, his father invited his best friend, Uncle Marcel Quinn.

Rose stood on the balcony staring at the open sea before her eyes. That afternoon, the air was so cool that she had forgotten how long she had been standing alone when the sky was still bright until it slowly began to dim as the sun started to set.

"What are you looking at?"

Rose heard Evan’s voice right behind her and suddenly a light coat hung over her shoulders. A faint smile appeared on her lips as Evan’s arms wrapped around her waist. He hugged her from behind.

She slowly turned her head to see Evan’s face on her shoulder. His face was so close to hers that she could feel his high nose rubbing against hers. It made her heart flutter with their intimacy.

"Sea! This noon the sea looked calm... so pretty!" Rose turned her gaze again to look at the sea.

"Would you like to walk in the forest behind the villa?"

"Do we still have time?" Rose glanced at her watch. "I don’t think so. Dinner will be served in an hour. Looks like the others have arrived, right?"

"Hmm... I can hear the others chatting downstairs."

"We have to go down to join them now..."

"There’s no need to rush. My family’s conversation is too boring as usual. Let’s enjoy our moment here, my dear wife!"

Rose laughed at his words. Oh my gosh, this man!

"How did you feel after mom recovered? And come back home?" Evan asked.

"My feelings right now cannot be expressed in words! I’m very grateful. Now my mother is healthy and can carry out her routine as usual..." Rose paused for a moment to take a deep breath. "Hubby, I’m sorry that what happened to my mom messed up many of our plans." Moreover, their honeymoon plans were forced to be canceled. Only one night, they taste the sweetness of their honeymoon in Tuscany.

"Hey! Didn’t I tell you often not to apologize about that?" Evan tightened his embrace and kissed the top of her hair.

Rose couldn’t help but smile at his protest.

"Wife, let’s go downstairs...." Evan turned Rose to face him. He kissed her on the lips before taking her to meet their family.

"Husband, wait!" Rose stopped her husband.

"What’s the matter, wife?" Evan was worried, seeing his wife’s eyes shaking as if she was hesitant to say something to him.

"This is about...." Rose’s tongue was slightly numb.

"Come on. Say it..."

"Hubby... mm-mmm tonight I want to sleep with my mother. For the last time before mom moved into my father’s house. So, I hope tonight you don’t mind sleeping alone...." Since this morning, Rose had been thinking about this idea, but she was too worried to tell her husband; Her husband doesn’t like sleeping alone.

"Of course, I don’t mind, wife! You can sleep with your mother..." Evan said calmly, but deep inside, he was grumbling. Tonight he will not be able to sleep well again.

Rose was astonished looking at Evan in the eyes. She thought this man would show his tantrum as usual. But this time not. She was amazed to see him becoming more understanding.

"Thank you, my handsome hubby!" Rose’s wide smile spread across her glowing face as she followed Evan downstairs to meet their family.
