Chapter 266: Need To Talk

Gosh! She shouldn’t be in this room, right!?

Slowly Rose turned her body. With her slow and small steps, she walked towards the door. But only a few steps later, she hears her mother stop her.

"Rose Wilson, stay where you are!" Molly’s firm voice made Rose stop in her tracks. Slowly she turned to look at her mother.

Molly looked at Rose with a sharp gaze like a wolf stalking its prey. So intimidating, it made her heart tremble. She could only stand where she was and did not know what to say.

But then she heard her father say, "Molly, we need to talk!"

Nicholas’ soft but firm voice made Molly turn her gaze to the man. He is now standing so close to her. Not only was he standing so close, but this man was now holding her hand.

Instantly her body froze. Her heart and mind were surprised by the sudden touch. A feeling she had never felt again after so many years now assaulted her. There was a tickle in her heart, which made her heart beat faster than usual.

This guy is Nick! The only man who can make her heart waver, shaken like now.

"Yes, Mom, you should talk to my father, I mean your beloved Nick..." Rose grinned when she saw how blushed her mother was. "See you, mother! See you, father!" She said it while running faster. She couldn’t stay long in the room. It feels too awkward.

As Rose came out of the room, she met her husband standing by the door.

"Wife? What happened? Why did you run? Did something happen inside?" Evan panicked. He immediately walked over to look into the room.

"No! Don’t enter the room, hubby!" Rose blocked her husband and closed the door behind her.

"Little Rose, what happened? Is your mother okay? Let grandpa see her for a while to greet her." Edward Spencer suddenly appeared and stood beside Evan.

Rose is surprised to see her grandfather in the room too.

If her grandfather greeted her mother now, she believed, her mother would faint. Not because of her injury. But because she discovered that Edward Spencer was her future father-in-law.

Rose was sure her dear mother knew the old man, an influential figure in this country.

"Grandfather, we have to wait here first. Let my mom and dad talk..." Rose immediately grabbed her grandfather and husband’s hands. She led them to sit in the seating area.

Evan and Edward Spencer were confused about Rose’s doings, but they followed her, pulling them.

After they all sat on the sofa, Rose repeatedly looked at her husband, and then grandfather. They looked so confused looking at her.

"Little Girl, why did you forbid me to see your mother? Is she still not visitable?" Edward Spencer was confused.

"Grandpa! I’m sorry, I didn’t want to stop you. But let my father talk to my mother first because my mother did not know that my father had found us. And also, my mother never knew my father’s identity all this time. I was afraid that if Grandpa came in, my mother would be shocked and she might faint seeing you. Everyone in this country knows who grandpa is!"

"Ah!" Edward Spencer nodded in agreement with what his granddaughter had said. He had better not surprise his daughter-in-law, especially since she had just woken up from her coma. "Grandfather understands. I’ll wait here until they’re done talking. Now, tell me everything. Is your mother really awake?"

When Rose tells of Molly’s condition to Edward Spencer and Evan.

At the same time, Molly held back the waves she felt in her heart and mind. She couldn’t take her eyes off, only seeing the hazel eyes of the man who was now sitting on the side of the bed.

Soon, his hand gripped her cold hand tightly. It made her even more surprised. She was still shocked by what was happening at this moment.

"You can breathe normally, Molly!" Nicholas was worried that Molly still couldn’t control herself. She still looked dazed in a state of shock.

"Please say something, Molly. I will answer anything you ask. Don’t be silent like this. It confuses me...." Nicholas asked patiently, but he was soon surprised when he saw Molly shaking her head.

"You don’t like to meet me? Do you hate me until you don’t want me in this room alone with you?" Nicholas’ voice was low and helpless.

Molly was surprised to hear his disappointed tone.

She never said she didn’t like him! How could she not like this man when he had managed to keep her single to this age?

"No, Nick! I didn’t. I just can’t believe we’re finally seeing each other again after so many years...." Molly lowered her gaze at their intertwined hands. She was timid about their skin-to-skin contact, but she liked it.

She felt like she had returned to the first time they had met. She still felt the same way; the warmth of his touch and his deep voice could make her heart tremble as this man bewitched her.

Nicholas smiled at Molly, blushing. With his other hand, he slowly touched and lifted Molly’s chin. When their eyes met, Nick could see her eyes sparkling. Like the first time, he saw those eyes. He felt his heart waver.

"Molly, I want to apologize to you. Because when we first met, I didn’t introduce myself properly. Now, I will introduce myself again...."

Molly nodded. Her meeting with this man in the past left many fond memories for her. But unfortunately, they forgot a crucial thing, they did not mention their real names.

"My name is Nicholas Spencer. But my family and best friends used to call me Nick. From the first time I saw you, I knew you were special, so I just told you that nickname. If only I had said my real name then, you would probably have said yours too. I would have found you if I had known your last name..." There was a hint of regret implied in Nicholas’s words.
