"Mom, I miss you so much. You promised never to make me worry again, but why did you do it?" Rose asked between her tears. Tears of anger mixed with happiness.

"Ugh! Sorry, miss, don’t hug your Mother too tightly. She still needs to adjust her condition now. She’s still weak..." The nurse in the room panicked, seeing Rose hug her Mother so tight like she was squeezing a cuddling pillow.

Rose was taken aback by the nurse’s warning. In an instant, she let go of her embrace while wiping the traces of her tears.

"My stupid daughter, why are you crying?" Molly’s voice was hoarse; it broke Rose’s heart when she heard it. She could sense how sore her Mother’s throat must have been from being dry for so long.

"Mom, I’m not crying!" Rose gave her Mother her best smile. Then she saw the nurse beside her, still writing notes in her hand. "Nurse, how is my mother?" Rose asked. Before she immediately ran into this room to meet her Mother, she forgot to ask Uncle Marcel about this.

The female nurse gave Rose an outline of Molly’s condition. After that, she immediately said goodbye to making room for the Mother and child who missed each other. She took care of Ms. Molly Wilson for almost a week and met her daughter, Rose, daily. She sympathized with Rose, who seemed devastated by her Mother’s condition. She had never seen Rose smile. But just now, she saw Rose’s sweet smile framing her beautiful face for the first time. She is happy for her.

After the nurse left the room, Rose slowly sat on the side of the bed, holding her Mother’s hand tightly. She didn’t want to let go of her Mother’s delicate hand.

"Tell me everything. How am I still alive after being stabbed so many times?" asked Molly. She seems confused after learning she had been in the hospital and in a coma for almost a week. She still vividly remembers being stabbed so many times by the Evil Woman, Sonya Moses.

Rose was surprised to hear her Mother’s question. Instantly her heart felt like it was being torn apart, remembering the CCTV footage Oliver had sent her last night. That evil woman really had the heart to hurt her Mother cruelly.

How could that evil woman hurt her Mother like that?

Rose had never imagined there would be a vile woman like Dustin’s Mother. She is so cruel!

In her previous life, the woman took her Mother’s property. Now in this life, the woman is trying to take her Mother’s life.

She hates her so much! If she had the chance, she would punish the Evil Woman with her own hands!

She would never let that woman get a light sentence. She would make sure that woman was severely punished and rotted in prison.

Rose wanted to seek revenge on the woman the same way, but there were laws in this country. She couldn’t just ask someone to end that woman’s life, right? But, if there was a chance for revenge, Rose would surely take it! That evil woman must pay for her mother’s pain and suffering. And for the pain and suffering, Rose had to endure because of her Mother’s near mortal wounds.

Molly was surprised when she saw her daughter’s face suddenly darkened.

"Does she know what happened to me that night?" thought Molly. She was so worried her daughter would find out and be traumatized.

Molly couldn’t ask her anymore. She hopes her little daughter doesn’t see the CCTV footage. Just thinking about what happened that night made her entire body ache to the bone and made her face turn pale. Molly pushed the cruel image out of her mind with all her might.

"M-Mom! Uncle Jamie found you...."

Rose told her Mother everything that Evan told her; Her Mother was found by Uncle Jamie. Unfortunately, her Mother was discovered too late, as she had already lost a lot of blood in her body. And it made her have to undergo major surgeries to save her life, and of course, the other effect was that she fell into a coma.

Molly listened silently. But deep down, she felt something squeeze her heart. Surprised to learn that Jamie Stone had found her. Suddenly a thought appeared in her hazy mind. Something that had been bothering her for a long time.

Should she accept Jamie’s heart or not?

She felt sorry for rejecting Jamie so many times that they finally promised to stay friends and care for each other until they were old. Because they both have no desire to marry again.

But now? Looks like she needs to question her heart again. What does she really want!?

Molly looked her daughter in the eyes before she said, "Daughter, I now owe my life to your Uncle Jamie." A faint smile appeared on the corners of her lips. "Where is your uncle Jamie now?"

"He has returned to East City. Did you forget he has a business over there? He can’t stay here longer to accompany you." Rose chuckled as she saw her Mother’s face suddenly turn gloomy.

"Rose!" Molly looked into her daughter’s eyes as she held her hand tightly.

It made Rose feel strange to see her Mother’s doings, and when she saw her Mother’s eyes shaking like she wanted to say something significant, it worried her. However, before Rose could ask, she heard her Mother say,

"Should I accept Uncle Jamie’s heart? That man was so stupid to stay single after so many years of waiting for me. Now that I owe him my life, I’m thinking of repaying his kindness by accepting his proposal...." Molly paused as she felt her throat dry. She immediately took a glass of water to moisten her dry throat.

"NO!!" Rose panicked hearing her Mother want to consider Uncle Jamie’s feelings. "Don’t do it, mom!" Someone may make havoc if he knows her Mother will accept Uncle Jamie’s love. The thought of his father going berserk made Rose feel goosebumps.

Molly frowns as she places the glass again on the nightstand. She glares at her daughter’s refusal. She sounds so strange. "What? Why did you suddenly refuse? Haven’t you always been pushing me to accept his proposal?"

Rose swallows hard a few times. She suddenly felt her throat dry too.
