Chapter 236: A Woman Marksman?
Chapter 236: A Woman Marksman?
Rose was amused to hear her grandfather’s flattery words. "Yes, I inherited your shooting talent, grandpa...." She wanted to say that, but of course, she restrained herself. They haven’t officially met yet. She will wait until her father arranges their meeting.
"Grandpa, this is just luck. I will train hard so that my shots will be more accurate...."
Jimmy was speechless. Only this time did he hear someone say bullseye was inaccurate. Is she that innocent, or is she just being humble?
Not only Jimmy who felt that way but Sam too. He felt that his lady boss was such an expert in disguise. How could she get a perfect score even though it was her first time using a rifle?
"Hahaha... Rose, if you said bullseye says it’s still not perfect, then I’m lost..." Edward Spencer couldn’t hold his happy feelings talking with this clueless little girl. "Alright, let’s go drink something. This old man is in a good mood. I’ll treat you and Sam...."
Just before Rose wanted to answer him, Sam interrupted, "Lady Boss, there’s a call from the hospital!"
"What!?" Rose was shocked and panicked. She immediately received her cell phone from Sam. Soon, she heard her father’s voice on the other end. After a few seconds of talking, she looks at Grandpa Spencer with her eyes shaking. She was shocked by what her father just said.
"G-Grandpa Spencer, I’m sorry I can’t join you now. I have to go back...." After she bowed slightly, she walked fast to the door with Sam following her.
Rose’s heart was pounding hearing the news about her mother.
Edward Spencer frowned, looking at Rose, who was looking hastily. Too bad the girl had to leave so soon when he still wanted to talk to her.
"Master, are you sure to let her go just like that? She is suitable to become your apprentice..." Jimmy watched Rose and Sam disappear behind the door. His admiration for Rose still lingers in his mind; She was genuinely talented. He can guess his master’s interest in recruiting Rose. It had been a long time since his master had an apprentice.
His last apprentices were Evan Collins and Sean Spencer. Since then, no one had caught his attention until this girl appeared.
Jimmy glanced at his master beside him. He can see his master’s eyes are still looking at the door without saying anything, but he can guess what this old man was thinking. He shut his mouth, just waiting in silence.
After a few minutes, they stood there, and he finally heard his master saying something.
"Jimmy investigated that girl, Rose Wilson. I Have to recruit her...." Even though he knew Rose Wilson was Evan’s wife, he still wanted to know her background.
He has to recruit Rose because she is the person he is looking for. Someone who can make his heart flutter when he sees her hold a gun and rifle. He would recruit that girl no matter what.

When Rose and Sam left the building, they bumped into Sean Spencer, who had just arrived with some of his friends. They look masculine in their army uniform.
Rose was stunned, looking at him. His aura is different from the one she saw last time in the restaurant at Vale City.
No friendly smile framed his face as he got out of the car, and his aura felt cold. But when his cold gaze looked at her, it suddenly vanished. And raise from him, a warm spring smile from his face as he walks fast toward them.
"R-Rose... Sister-In-Law? Why are you here?" Sean Spencer asked as he looked around for Evan. But he didn’t see Evan among them. He only saw Sam standing beside her. "Where’s Evan? Are you alone, Sam?"
Sean was surprised to know Rose visited this place without Evan.
Is she here for shooting practice?
Rose smiles before she answers him, "It’s just the two of us. Me and Sam. Evan is out of town...."
"I see. So, you came here to shoot?"
"Yes! We came to practice shooting." Sam was interrupted after seeing Rose looking restless, wanting to leave this place in a hurry, but she was polite to Sean. "Sorry, but we have to leave this place soon. We have appointments elsewhere. Young master Sean, I will call you later...."
"Oh! Sorry, Sam, Rose, for stalling your time..." Sean made way for Rose and Sam to get to the car. After their vehicle disappeared, he saw one of the men behind him. "Find out where the car went...." He said and entered the building.
Sean Spencer was still curious to know where he had seen a face that looked so much like Rose’s. Since meeting her in Vale city, he hasn’t found a clue to this day. This mystery really gave him a headache.
"You finally arrived!? Why did you take so long?" Edward Spencer scolded his grandson. An hour ago, he asked him to come here immediately, to challenge his grandson against Rose, the girl with incredible marksmanship. He wanted his grandson to know that there was a young girl who could match his shooting talent. But too bad his grandson came so late.
Sean’s mouth twisted hearing his grandfather scold him.
"I’m at the border when you call me. We need more time to fly here. What is it? Why did you suddenly summon me here? Is there an important mission?"
"No! I found the best marksman I have seen in my military life...." Edward smiled when he saw his grandson finally sit straight with his eyes darted at him. "I want you to go against her. I believe she can beat you...."
"Her? A woman marksman?" Sean was shocked to hear that his grandfather had found a female sniper. He became curious to meet the woman. She must be outstanding that Grandpa praised her this much. He has to recruit her. Right now, his team needs a sniper.
"Hmm... she is so young and pretty!"
Sean is even more curious to hear that.
