"Has Evan ever asked you to meet the other Spencers?"

"Hmm, besides Sean, I met sister Amanda..." Rose is still amazed to know that Amanda Spencer is her real aunt. When they first met at her apartment, they got along right away like they had known each other for a long time.

"She is not your sister, but your aunty."

"Well, she is indeed my aunty. But, that aunty forced me to call her sister..." Rose laughed, imagining Amanda Spencer’s sulking-looking face when she called her aunty.

"So you have met her. Did she treat you well?"

"Yes. Aunty Amanda is so kind to me. She even gave me many gifts when we first met...."

Nicholas was stunned. He knew very well that his little sister was picky in choosing friends. But, to his daughter, they only met once, and his sister immediately liked her. This is a blessing. He was happy to hear that. Now he was even more sure that his whole family would be glad to meet Molly and Rose. He can’t wait to arrange their family meeting soon when Molly awakens.

Seeing her father as if deep in thought, Rose suddenly remembered her mother’s condition.

"Father, do you know about my mother? She had an accident...."

"I know. Actually, I’m the head doctor who led the surgery..."

"What!?" Rose was stunned. She thought her father was a soldier. How could he be the god-doctor who does surgery on her mother? "Are you the godly doctor that Evan said? For real?"

Nicholas laughed. Even his daughter knows his nickname like that. "Yes... Yes, I’m the godly doctor...."

"Are you a military doctor?" Rose asks, still confused about her father’s occupation.

"I was once a military doctor. But, I’m not active anymore because of another task I’m doing now...." Nicholas can’t tell her the details about his work because what he is doing now is top secret. Only a few people in the government and military knew what he was doing. And if her daughter or her family found out what he was doing, they may be in danger.

"No wonder your skin is so pale..." Rose murmurs. Since meeting him, she has doubted that her father worked as an active-duty soldier because his skin was so pale.

"Yeah! Though I’m in the military, I rarely get direct sun...." Nicholas laughs slightly.

Rose was finally able to smile even though her smile looked awkward at the moment. She wasn’t used to talking casually with him. "Father, about my mom? How is she?"

"The surgery was successful. So far, there have been no problems with Molly’s vital signs. However, her condition is still being monitored in the Recovery room. There will be medical staff who will monitor her condition until she wakes up...."

"How many hours will she be awake?" Rose couldn’t wait to meet her mother. She wanted to tell her that her ’Nick’ finally found them. Her mother will be delighted if she knows that.

Nicholas looked at his watch before replying, "She was supposed to wake up in a few hours. But... we will see later. It deepened her condition...."

"Can I see her now?" She wanted to see her mother’s condition. After landing, she has not seen her at all. She misses her.

"Yes, you can, but you can only see it outside the Recovery Room. And, we will go there after we finish talking, Rose!"

Rose was stunned. Is there anything else he wants to talk about?

"This is about...." Nicholas sighed deeply before continuing, "I plan to register my marriage with your mother when she wakes up. I hope you agree..."

"This! I, of course... I agree. It’s just, you should ask mom, right?"

Nick smiled, hearing his daughter approve it.

"Your mother will be happy, don’t worry... even though I’ve only met her once. I can see through her eyes that she also likes me. That’s why I asked her to meet me for lunch the next day. That time, I wanted to ask her to be my girlfriend. I’m serious with her and have plans to propose to her..." His voice sounded miserable, remembering those painful memories. Molly never showed up.

Only today, he had learned that Molly had been in an accident on her way to where they met. And the accident made her memories lost.

Rose smiles, hearing his father’s intention to marry her mother. She was beyond happy because her mother had never married on legal paper.

"My mother indeed likes you. Since giving birth to me, she has never liked another man. Though many men approached her. In fact, there are college friends who chase after her until now, but mother always rejects him..." Rose paused to look at her father’s reaction. When she saw his face turn dark, she felt guilty talking about this to him.

She continued her words when her father didn’t say a word, "That time, mom’s memory of you hasn’t come back yet, and I never knew you existed. So, I always ask her; why didn’t she accept that uncle’s love!? That time, my mom said to me; She felt her heart was empty. It was as if someone had stolen it. That’s why she is never interested in marrying...."

At first, Nicholas felt jealous of the man who approached Molly, but after hearing his daughter’s last words, his heart was calm and happy again.

Even though they have been separated for decades, God apparently blesses them; their hearts only belong to them.

Now, Nicholas felt wanted to talk to Molly again. He couldn’t wait for her to wake up. "I’m glad to hear that. What your mom felt is the same as me...."

"Yeah, I’m amused how mom loves you. Though her mind forgets you, her heart does not. She is the loneliest woman I have ever met. She devoted her life only to raising me. That’s why I can’t bear to let her alone in East city. Father, I felt blessed that you finally came into our life. I’m so happy for her because she will not be alone anymore..." Rose paused as she tried holding her sadness.
