Rebirth: Dancing In My Destiny -
Chapter 141: Dinner (3)
Chapter 141: Dinner (3)
Soon they finished their dinner and moved to the lounge area in the room. A black leather sofa is set in the corner near the huge glass window with the yellow sea view. The lights around the lounge were dim, so Rose could see the scenery outside.
She can see the lonely moon hanging above the dark sky, reflecting silver light on the dark sea surface. It looks so beautiful and calms her mind just by looking at the stunning view lying before her eyes.
She didn’t remember how long she stared at the moon’s reflection. She was too immersed till she didn’t hear someone asking her.
"Wifey!?"
Rose snapped out when she heard Evan’s voice tickling her ear. She also could feel Evan’s hand rubbing her back. She immediately turned to look at him. Rose was surprised as Evan’s face was very close to her that their lips almost touched. She froze. In a short time, she pulled herself to make a distance between them. Her heart was beating wildly.
"W-What is E-Evan?" Rose’s eyes blink several times, trying to adjust her shock. She saw Evan pull his head and sit as usual.
"Sean, ask you!" He casually said as he took his drink.
"Rose, may I ask you about something?" Having seen her face somewhere, Sean finally had a chance to ask Rose about his curiosity.
Sean almost cracked his brain just to remember her. But still, he can’t, as if those memories are deleted from his brain. He completely forgot when and where he saw this girl.
Now, his eyes meet with Rose’s beautiful hazel eyes. It mesmerized him for a moment.
"Yes..." Rose looks at Sean in surprise because this man finally talks to her again. After dinner, this man seems to avoid talking to her and only talks to Evan.
"Have you ever been to North City? I think I ever saw you there...."
Rose was surprised to hear Sean’s question. As long as she lived in her two lives, she never visited North City, the military base of this country.
How can Sean say he ever saw her there?
"What the hell Brother Sean! Why do you use that pickup line for my fiance?" Evan signed tiredly, hearing Sean’s words.
What Evan was afraid of finally happened, this man was attracted to her fiance! Immediately Evan felt uneasy. They can’t stay here for too long. The past affair buried at the bottom of his heart slowly appeared.
"WHAT!? Who is trying to pick up a line here? Mind your words, Evan!" Sean was shocked, looking at how annoyed Evan was. "Can you throw that thought away? Rose is my sister-in-law, alright!"
Evan listens in silence, but his sharp gaze is like a fierce slap into Sean’s face.
Sean could only take a deep sigh facing this stubborn young man, "You misunderstood what I mean, Evan. I ask her because I mean it. I saw someone similar to her in North City. I’m not making this up!" He couldn’t believe Evan was so jealous of him!
Rose was shocked to hear their conversation. Pickup lines? What does that mean? She was confused seeing these two men as if they were fighting with their sharp gazes. Made her a little worried that the two would be fighting.
Not wanting to make this two-man fight, Rose quickly answered Sean, "In my entire life, I have never visited that city. So, maybe you see a different person...." Rose shifts her gaze to Evan as she places her hand on his arm, "Evan, don’t be angry, huh!? Sean only asks."
Evan snapped out after Rose distracted his staring contest with Sean. But, deep down in his heart, he is still annoyed. He slowly turns his angry gaze to Rose, and immediately his gentle-looking face frames his face as he smiles at her.
The entire scene was witnessed by Sean. He could only shake his head in disbelief at what he had just witnessed. Evan seemed to want to murder him with his sharp gaze a second ago. But, as soon as he saw Rose, his murder-looking eyes turned into gentle and loving ones.
Sean was amazed by Rose, who could make this furious man subdue instantly. Unbelievable!
"Wifey, let’s go back to the hotel. You look tired, don’t you?" Evan stood up as he pulled Rose to stand so close to him. After making sure the girl stands up, he firmly places his hand on her slim waist before he looks at Sean, who is still sitting in his place, staring at them.
"Brothers, we will go now. See you in the Capital...." Evan said, then took Rose’s hand. Then, he silently walked fast to the door.
Rose dashed, following Evan’s wide steps in front of her. She didn’t know why Evan’s mood had suddenly changed drastically. He left the VIP room without giving her a chance to say goodbye to Sean, her savior. While she walked following him, her mind suddenly thought of something.
Is he jealous of Sean? How could he be jealous of his cousin? Gosh, this man!
Sean stared intently at the door until Evan and Rose’s backs were out of sight.
He deeply sighed as he stood motionless from his seat and stood to the glass wall. His vision looks at the full moon in the sky. His mind was too frantic right now. Even though he was annoyed with Evan for accusing him like that, he wasn’t mad at him. He couldn’t be mad at him.
But... What made Sean feel uneasy was the memory of Rose’s face that he had seen before seemed to assault his mind. Sean tries to remember when and where he saw that face before, but he can’t remember.
Was Rose the woman he had a crush on? No. Impossible!
If she really was the woman he had a crush on, how could he forget her so quickly?
Sean was sure Rose had nothing to do with him but with someone he knew. And he happened to see her face.
But, who? Who is the one who knows Rose?
After a few moments in silence, Sean groans as he rubs his nape, unable to recall his memories.
