Chapter 468: Chapter 448: Rumors Arise
"This is what others have said, how would I know?" Cao Yingying looked at the smiling Luo Qianqian, but shivered slightly. This kid wasn’t as easy to deal with as imagined. She then smiled and said, "I’m just passing on what I’ve heard to you. If you believe it, it’s different. I also believe she’s good."
Luo Qianqian raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Cao Yingying hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Don’t tell her about this, okay? Can this be our secret?"
Luo Qianqian nodded. Of course, she wouldn’t say anything, because Qin Nuan had overheard. Moreover, this approach was clearly within Qin Nuan’s expectations.
Cao Yingying breathed a sigh of relief and turned to leave the dorm room.
Qin Nuan came down the stairs from upstairs after hearing over the phone that the person had left. She had no intention of going downstairs; now that it was getting dark, one should always be cautious of others.
Luo Qianqian looked composedly at Qin Nuan, who had returned to the dorm, "Who was looking for you?"
"How would I know?" Qin Nuan gestured towards the staircase, then grabbed Luo Qianqian’s hand and smacked it twice, "Next time someone asks you for my contact info, just say no. Why bother about what they think? If they have the guts, they should come find me themselves. You don’t need to pay them any attention."
Luo Qianqian nodded, then as though realizing something, said, "Are you practicing?" Their current situation involved envious and jealous female classmates, but in the future, they’d have to deal with fans from all age groups.
Qin Nuan gave a wry smile, "You noticed?"
"What’s her major?" Luo Qianqian didn’t dwell on the matter but pointed directly at Cao Yingying’s bed.
"Heh... French."
Luo Qianqian understood somewhat; it’s no wonder, then. After a couple of chuckles, she walked to the balcony and looked down. Her brows furrowed instantly, "Cong Rong is downstairs."
Upon hearing this, Qin Nuan rushed to the window, and the next second, she turned and ran out the door downstairs. Luo Qianqian quickly closed the door and followed her down, blocking the way of Cong Rong. Unfortunately, there was also the flower delivery guy holding not roses or lilies but a bunch of gypsophila.
Luo Qianqian faced Cong Rong, full of question marks, as he struggled and frowned to break free.
"Let me go!" Qin Nuan unleashed a kick, flying towards the flower delivery guy. The other two had been caught, this one remaining slippery fish was still jumping around every day.
"Qin Nuan! I don’t like you anymore so don’t stop me from pursuing my true love. Go be with your middle-aged uncle!" The flower delivery man shocked everyone with his words. Luo Qianqian felt speechless, where did Luo Yanran look like an uncle? Where was he middle-aged?
"Heh, if you don’t scram, I’m calling the police," Qin Nuan warned, her eyes narrowing as she pulled Cong Rong behind her.
Cong Rong’s expression was indifferent, but his eyes were filled with rage. He felt nauseated looking at the flower delivery guy, "Unfortunately for you, I’ve also found my middle-aged man. Go stay cool wherever you are, I wouldn’t even take you if you were given away for free."
Qin Nuan was surprised that the usually gentle and calm Cong Rong would say something like that; she didn’t know how to react.
The gentle voice of Luo Qianqian rose, "I’ve already called the cops. I didn’t make a fuss about the previous incident, but it seems you’ve become a bit too arrogant?" As she said this, she showed the call screen to the onlookers.
Then they heard a male voice pick up, "Hello..."
After hearing the voice, Luo Qianqian turned off the speakerphone and loudly continued making the report. The flower delivery guy and the spectators quickly dispersed. Luo Qianqian then returned her voice to its usual volume and calmly said into the phone, "I’ll introduce you to a girl this weekend, beautiful, sweet-voiced, calm, and composed. Are you interested?"
"Sure, see you this weekend." No one knew what was said on the other end, but soon after, everyone heard Luo Qianqian say this before hanging up. Seeing Qin Nuan’s puzzled expression, she scrolled through her contacts, pointing at a renamed number: "This is the ’Police Incarnate.’"
Checking the number, Qin Nuan frowned and thought for a while before hesitantly saying, "Luo Yanwu?"
Luo Qianqian nodded calmly, "I originally wanted to give this to Second Brother Qin, but it’s better coming from a little sister. I just picked the more approachable one." Then, she turned to look at Cong Rong, "Looks like you can’t escape this, you really have to meet my family. Don’t be nervous, just think of them as my family. There is no need for formalities."
"Uncle? Middle-aged, overweight, balding, ... " Zhang Yun’s words were cut short when she saw Cong Rong’s face turn pale.
Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes, "You’ll know once you see him. Even if he’s not as good as Yhan Miyuan, he won’t be far off."
Qin Nuan was speechless, Yhan Miyuan equals Luo Yanran, her fourth brother, and Luo Yanwu was her third brother, so how could they not be much different? Except for different parents, grandparents are always the same.
Upon hearing Luo Qianqian’s confident claims, Cong Rong also recovered her composure, "No problem, just think of it as going out for fun. You wouldn’t force me, right?"
"Do I look like that kind of person?" Luo Qianqian pointed to her face, and Qin Nuan couldn’t help but laugh, "Exactly like that."
Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes. Luo Yanwu was free on Sunday, just in time to arrange a meal to improve their diet, providing a place for the four of them to eat.
Luo Yanwu hung up the phone, speechless, thinking it was something serious, but it turned out to be his sister introducing a girlfriend?
Girlfriend? Luo Yanwu’s face turned red. If his sister praised her so highly, she must be impressive. It would be nice if someone could make him yearn for them.
But then he thought about his profession, and his expression darkened again. He wasn’t Luo Qianqian, who could just give up whenever she wanted. He had worked hard to get where he was today and still had his grand ambitions. Would anyone understand him as he was?
"Sigh..."
"Little Luo, what’s up? Did you get a call from home?"
His introspective mood was quickly broken by a concerned voice on the side. Luo Yanwu stopped overthinking. Whatever it was, he would find out this weekend. He wouldn’t hide his thoughts; whether it worked out or not, he would leave it to the Will of Heaven.
Cong Rong was also nervous, feeling suddenly excited. Wasn’t she usually good at rejecting confessions? Could it be because Luo Qianqian said he was comparable to Yhan Miyuan? Yhan Miyuan was currently the most handsome actor and her favorite.
As they returned to the dormitory with their own thoughts, Qin Nuan’s phone rang twice. She pulled out her phone, her face glowing with a brilliant smile, "That’s a quick post."
"Need to track them?" Luo Qianqian blinked, although they all knew who was behind it.
"No need, they’re undoubtedly at the internet café at this hour. We’re not in a rush. Isn’t it better to strike back after they’ve hit rock bottom, giving it a feeling of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat?" Qin Nuan put down her phone. The message was from Qin Wen, but she didn’t pay it much mind, simply replying with one word: Wait.
They would wait for their opponents to hit rock bottom before striking back.
"By the way, I have something to say." Cong Rong took out a piece of paper, "Our club is short on people, any of you without a club want to join to make up the numbers?"
"What club?" Luo Qianqian’s eyes lit up, a club with a beauty like her must be extraordinary.
Then she heard Qin Nuan speak languidly, "Forget it, the club’s purpose isn’t important, the main thing is that their only activity is exam-taking, aimed at winning scholarships."
"Isn’t that great? Creating a dorm of academic overachievers." Luo Qianqian didn’t back down, her eyes still sparkling.
Qin Nuan looked at Luo Qianqian, opened her mouth, and wondered if she was bewitched by those legendary honor student dorms from her past life?
"It’s a good idea, count me in." Zhang Yun rested her chin on her hands; she was already capable of earning scholarships and didn’t mind the extra effort.
"I’m in as well." Luo Qianqian was full of anticipation for her college life.
