Chapter 461: Chapter 441: Qin Nuan (14)

When Qin Nuan came downstairs, Luo Qianqian had already gone to school. Qin Nuan felt somewhat embarrassed, but Yue Tingyu was used to her granddaughter’s laziness and understood that the Qins had been quite busy recently, so naturally, she did not blame her.

"Noodles or buns?" Yue Tingyu asked early in the morning, as she had been instructed by her grandson to keep Qin Nuan’s meal warm.

"Noodles are fine," Qin Nuan hurriedly replied, glancing at the message on her phone. She then realized Luo Yanran had returned to the set. With a slight sigh, she showed no sign of blame; she understood that Luo Yanran’s work was not easy. To love was not easy; wasn’t what they needed just mutual understanding and support?

"Nuannuan," Qin Wen said, rubbing his head as he came out of his room, staring at Qin Nuan standing in the middle of the living room, still somewhat disoriented. He glanced at the clock and then widened his eyes, "Is it this late?"

"Brother, you..." Qin Nuan averted her eyes from the sight of Qin Wen clad only in his boxers.

Noticing something odd in his sister’s gaze, Qin Wen looked down at himself and then widened his eyes. The next second, the guest room door closed. Soon after, Qin Nuan’s phone rang, and Qin Wen’s muffled voice came through, "Qin Nuan, can you tell me why my shirt has turned into shreds?"

"Um... sleeping in such tight clothes must be uncomfortable, I did it for your own good," Qin Nuan remembered yesterday’s scissor work, sheepishly sticking out her tongue.

"So what am I supposed to do now?" Qin Wen, unlike Qin Nuan, did not have extra clothes at the Luo Family’s house, and he had nothing in his room except for bathrobes.

"By the way, Nuannuan, Luo Yanran left a bag for you when he left," Yue Tingyu poked her head out from the kitchen and pointed to a bag on the coffee table. Qin Nuan picked it up with skepticism, tore it open, and the next second, a relieved sigh escaped her as she hung up the phone and knocked on Qin Wen’s door with the bag in hand.

"What is it?" Qin Wen peeked his head out, visibly annoyed.

Qin Nuan handed him the bag and turned to head for the kitchen. She inwardly rejoiced that Luo Yanran had been thoughtful; otherwise, she feared her brother might make her go buy him clothes and then give her the cold shoulder for staying in his room too long.

Qin Wen recognized the brand Luo Yanran frequently wore just by looking at the bag in his hands. He felt more satisfied with this brother-in-law – his sister caused the trouble, and yet he cleaned it up, fitting each other well.

When Luo Qianqian arrived at school, she hadn’t yet entered the dormitory when she saw that the flower-delivering guy was there again. She couldn’t help but find it a bit amusing. The flowers were different today; gone were the roses, replaced by a simple bouquet of pink lilies, and she had no idea whom they were meant for. It seemed right that Qin Nuan didn’t come, lest she be disgusted by this guy again.

Thinking this, Luo Qianqian turned to enter the dormitory, but unexpectedly the guy spoke, "Luo Qianqian."

??? Luo Qianqian was confused. What’s happening? She turned around calmly, "What’s the matter? Qin Nuan, my sister-in-law, is at home."

"I’m here for you." The flower-delivering guy pushed the flowers toward Luo Qianqian, "I feel like you match my taste more."

"Are you switching to pursuing me?" Watching the flower-delivering guy nod, Luo Qianqian curved her lips in amusement, unconcerned by the sizeable audience around, "First pursuing my sister-in-law, not able to compete with my brother, now switching to pursue me? Do you think, after seeing my brother, I would consider someone like you? Moreover..." Luo Qianqian looked at him earnestly.

The flower-delivering guy interrupted her, "It was love at first sight when I saw you!"

"Love at first sight isn’t used like that. I wasn’t done speaking. Moreover, I am a minor, thirteen years old. It’s illegal for an adult to blatantly pursue a minor, did you know that? I could sue you for child molestation. I suspect your intentions, and I reserve the right to appeal. If you persist in pursuing me, everything occurring now could be considered evidence in court," Luo Qianqian pointed to the surveillance camera in front of the dormitory door, her cold smile betraying her true or false words. She had learned from Qin Wen to take the lead in assaults, "You might explain your actions as pursuing true love, but openly chasing after a child like me, I might suspect you have some improper thoughts about children. I will call the police to ensure my safety."

Having said that, Luo Qianqian didn’t give him another glance, turning and entering the dormitory building.

In the crowd, a woman gritted her teeth in frustration. How could a Qin Nuan be so tough to deal with for a child? To say the person looked pretty too, how come no one looked their way? Was it her misunderstanding of the aesthetics of the wealthy nowadays, or was her taste just poor?

Back in the dorm, Luo Qianqian spread out the information she had jotted down in the classroom. School would start tomorrow, military training the day after, and Qin Nuan had to return to campus tomorrow as well.

Just then, a girl entered the dormitory. She had dark skin, bright eyes, and wore light blue clothing which made her appear even darker. Upon seeing the child sitting on Qin Nuan’s bed, she paused and then smiled, "Are you Nuannuan’s little sister? Did Nuannuan go to the restroom?"

Rummaging through what Qin Nuan had said about the other four people in the dormitory, Luo Qianqian accurately stated the girl’s name, "Sister Zhang Yun, I’m a freshman, Sister Nuannuan’s sister, I’ll be staying here. Please take care of me from now on." Luo Qianqian pointed to her own bed.

Zhang Yun looked toward the delicately pink bed and laughed, "How old are you exactly? You’re quite impressive, already knowing my name. Nuannuan hasn’t been talking bad about me, has she?"

Luo Qianqian shook her head obediently, "Sister Nuannuan said that the one who seems the best at sports in our dorm is Sister Zhang Yun. Sister Zhang Yun is straightforward and unpretentious, a real tomboy."

Upon hearing Luo Qianqian’s words, Zhang Yun wasn’t the least bit annoyed, rather she seemed pleasantly surprised, "Really? She does have a conscience then."

Luo Qianqian tilted her head, smiling sweetly.

After examining her for a while, Zhang Yun asked, "Were you the one who mentioned calling the police downstairs earlier?"

Luo Qianqian’s face turned red, and she nodded.

"Hey, that was really well said. I like kids like you, not easily bullied at all," Zhang Yun said, taking out her phone to send a message informing the other dorm mates about the newbie.

Qin Nuan received the message as well and realized that she had forgotten to inform her dorm mates. With the exception of one person she didn’t get along with, everyone else in the dorm was quite amicable. Luo Qianqian had returned that afternoon, and Qin Nuan wasn’t in a rush to join the commotion since she would be moving in tomorrow anyways.

Qin Nuan hadn’t expected that Luo Qianqian would be targeted, nor had Luo Qianqian herself considered it, given that the shares had already been dealt with.

That person was too preoccupied to bother troubling Qin Nuan, right?

After receiving a message from her third brother that he was at the entrance, Luo Qianqian said goodbye to Zhang Yun and left with her backpack.

Luo Yanwu usually waited at the back door. Though it was a farther walk, the fact that there was no traffic jam made it worth the drive.

As Luo Qianqian walked, something felt off. If she wasn’t mistaken, the person behind her was that "dog" Qin Nuan often mentioned. She had seen him before; even though he wore a hat, the general build and even the clothes from that day were the same. Luo Qianqian couldn’t be mistaken.

Without hesitation, she dialed Luo Yanwu’s number, quietly explained the situation, and then slowed her pace. The stretch of road ahead was scarcely populated, and it wouldn’t be good if something were to happen, so waiting for Luo Yanwu to pick her up seemed safer.

Seeing Luo Qianqian sitting on a wooden bench to the side, Wang Zhuo paused, then sat down beside her.

He didn’t miss the somewhat panicked look in Luo Qianqian’s eyes as he sat down, silently admiring the child’s sharpness for noticing that someone was following her amidst so many people.
