Chapter 386: Chapter 368: Test (Part 2)

As the two chatted away, time slowly passed, and Luo Qianqian became a bit nervous. She had never been to such a place in her past or present life, always hearing it was a mix of all sorts, and she didn’t know if it was like the glamorous chaos depicted on TV.

After changing her clothes, Luo Qianqian calmly walked to the beauty salon on the sixth floor. However, upon seeing the rainbow of colors inside, unpleasant associations instantly sprang to her mind. Yet, seeing that it was nearly time, she hesitated no more and entered the salon, "Please wash my hair and then do any hairstyle." Her hair had been cut a year ago, and over the year, it had grown and been shaped to perfectly sit at shoulder length.

Under the skilled hands of the stylist, her hair was quickly styled, curled, and set with spray. Luo Qianqian frowned slightly, but seeing her reflection in the mirror looking noticeably more playful, she realized her height was just the same, and no amount of disguising could change that hard fact.

High heels, those things, aren’t great for running away in danger, and she didn’t like them. Otherwise, adding a pair of high heels would make her look like an adult, though she had never considered whether she could walk in them. But then, Luo Qianqian looked at her chest, wanting to cry but lacking the tears. It didn’t matter, she was still young.

At the entrance of the bar, seeing that nobody else was going in, Luo Qianqian didn’t want to be the first one either. She took the only five large bills she had to a nearby snack shop to wait until more people arrived. Going in too early when the person she was looking for hadn’t arrived yet would just be boring, wouldn’t it?

Having left her wallet in the hotel, she hadn’t thought about bringing it; what if it got stolen, wouldn’t that be frustrating? But she didn’t dare spend much, after all, having never been in such a place, what if the entrance fee was expensive and she had to go back for money?

After buying some food, she quietly waited by the roadside until it got completely dark and more people started to show up, then she made her way inside.

However, what she hadn’t expected was that she followed a large group of people directly inside without encountering anyone collecting tickets.

Once inside the bar, she realized it was nothing like the ones on TV; it was quite a serene place, with men and women singing and playing instruments on one side, and it looked rather refined.

Luo Qianqian went straight to the bar.

Feng knew instantly that this child was the one he was supposed to meet today because she was so out of place with her surroundings—young, naive, the fearlessness and innocence on her face didn’t blend with the atmosphere at all.

Smiling slightly at the person behind the bar, he said, "Please get me a non-alcoholic drink, thank you."

Feng was taken aback, and looking at his own attire, he understood why the child was speaking to him. He nodded and poured a glass of orange juice. He was dressed in a white shirt and black pants, his hair impeccably groomed. Compared to the guy who went to the restroom, he was just missing a bow tie and a vest. However, he was also happy to let Luo Qianqian remain mistaken, after all, testing this person’s caliber was also his task.

After paying the bill, Luo Qianqian handed him a large bill and asked mysteriously, "Do you see any guests today who don’t fit in?"

"Don’t fit in?" Feng was startled by her question and raised his eyebrows slightly, "You’re the most out of place here."

"I don’t mean me. I mean someone who is unique, looks entirely out of place among these people, or someone exceptionally strong in some way?" Luo Qianqian whispered, "Birds of a feather flock together, you know? So, it’s about finding someone who stands out from the crowd, someone who doesn’t fit in—that’s what I mean." Luo Qianqian didn’t mind speaking more with this person since she needed help and didn’t want to impose too much on him.

Feng raised his eyebrows, this kid had hit the nail on the head. Geniuses are usually misfits and have their own quirks, but letting her succeed just because of that seemed a bit too easy.

"Look over there," Feng pointed towards a man in the VIP seats, his eyes smiling, surrounded by very attractive women, the atmosphere lively, "The richest, loves beautiful women, completely out of sync with the other men around, using this batch of die-hard beautiful fans."

Luo Qianqian looked over, just in time to see a woman feed a grape into the man’s mouth with her mouth.

She frowned slightly, "Isn’t he obviously a playboy heir? If he’s out of place, it must be from kidney issues!"

The man eating grapes sneezed, meeting Feng’s gaze, saw the girl opposite him, raised an eyebrow, and then continued indulging in the beauty around him.

Feng nodded in agreement, this description was indeed fitting, "Now look at that booth over there, that one, who can drink the most, gets drunk daily and has to call his family to pick him up, loves getting wasted."

Luo Qianqian looked at the man, his face marked by the ravages of time, clearly drowning his sorrows deliberately, "He must be dealing with some heartbreaking issue, eh? That wouldn’t really be out of place here, would it?"

Feng nodded, "His fiancée died, and for the past year, he’s been coming here to drink himself silly, which is also somewhat out of place."

Hearing this, Luo Qianqian also pondered, why was the meeting spot at this place? If not for drinking one’s grief away, was it for... hunting for romance?

"Related to drinking, and different from hunting for romance, what other types of people are there?" After a moment of silence, Luo Qianqian quickly asked.

"Then there are the misfits... In terms of liquor, one has the most types of alcohol, the other has the most valuable liquor; as for the other aspect, it’s that lecherous scion; no one else is out of place here."

"Which two are the ones with ties to alcohol?" Luo Qianqian frowned, feeling that the person she was looking for was among these two.

"The most expensive, of course, is that spoiled rich kid," Feng said with a smile, "But I’m afraid you won’t be able to strike up a conversation with him. He only likes voluptuous women."

Luo Qianqian glanced at her flat chest, annoyed and embarrassed, and rolled her eyes, "What about the other one?"

"The other is none other than myself." Feng placed his right hand over his left chest, bowed slightly.

Luo Qianqian, seeing Feng still at work, turned and walked towards the wealthy playboy, standing with her hands on her hips in front of the liquor table, drawing the attention of a table full of beauties and the playboy himself, who all looked up at her, "Sweet Potato, sweet potato, I am Sweet Potato!"

Jin looked at Feng at the bar with great interest watching the two, and then, feeling mischievous, said very seriously, "Chicken changes to a dog but remains, the sign is viewed by quadrant."

The surrounding women were all perplexed, wondering what these two were talking about?

"Is it you?" Luo Qianqian asked somewhat uncertainly, unable to believe that it was this lustful, seemingly frail wealthy young man.

"It is I." The man nodded, then waved to the beauties seated at the table: "Join me for fun tomorrow, I have a matter to attend to today."

The women, not at all displeased, took the gifts Jin had given them and reluctantly left.

Jin picked up his car keys and looked towards Luo Qianqian, "Shall we talk in my car?"

Luo Qianqian nodded, finding the place a bit chaotic, and a quiet spot was much preferred, "Absolutely." Before leaving, she gave Feng a cheerful wave and said thanks. Jin just raised an eyebrow, giving Feng a look.

Watching Jin’s teasing glance, Feng shook his head and sighed, "Ah, I’m much more reliable than that guy, right? Just because I’m wearing a dress shirt, doesn’t mean you should suspect me to be a bartender, right? Even though that’s my hobby."

By the side, a man in a vest hurriedly ran up to Feng, "Young Master Feng, did you find your drink?"

Feng waved his hand, poured himself a new glass of orange juice, and asked as if possessed, "Do I seem very out of place?"

The real bartender, not daring to tell the truth—both because Young Master Feng was designated as an important guest by the boss and because he wouldn’t say so even to regular customers—hurriedly shook his head, "Not particularly..."

Feng put down his glass, turned, and left the bar, looked at the disappearing car, resignedly got into his car, and drove towards the destination of the man.
