Chapter 182: Chapter 170: The Young Parents of the Pei Family

Luo Qianqian broke down the problem and explained it in three parts, and by the second part, Zhou Shangbo had stopped listening and quickly figured out the answer. However, considering there were others, Luo Qianqian still completed the explanation, and everyone seemed to have a moment of realization.

"Luo Qianqian, you’re actually an alien, aren’t you?" Zhou Shangbo pouted. "How can a normal person solve problems like you do?"

"Hmm, I am an alien, and next, I’ll eat you up." Luo Qianqian nodded quite seriously.

Gu Yanzhi covered his mouth and snickered. "Don’t worry, he’s the kind who would gladly be a debonair ghost even if he had to die under a peony, so he’ll be willing to offer himself as nourishment for your kind."

"Go away." Zhou Shangbo laughed simply, scratching his head. "Luo Qianqian, can I still come to you for help in the future?"

Luo Qianqian blinked. "You can, as long as you’re not coming to me with trouble. I don’t welcome troublemakers." She said with a helpless look on her face. "Like when I’m explaining problems to you, and still, I get scolded for being mean or whatever. It’s really hurtful to one’s girlish heart."

Pei Yuhao looked up at Luo Qianqian and quickly lowered his head to cover his mouth, trying not to laugh out loud.

"Young girl?" Zhou Shangbo looked Luo Qianqian up and down thoroughly and shook his head. "Little girl."

"Hahaha." Pei Yuhao couldn’t hold back his laughter, and everyone from Class Nine and Class One joined in.

"Hey, hey, hey, Pei Yuhao, which class are you from?" Luo Qianqian clenched her little fist with no hint of intimidation.

"Alright, you guys should head home early too; we’re going to continue." Pei Yuhao immediately put on a serious face and issued a dismissal to the students from Class One. "Little Tian, erase the blackboard. Qianqian, have some water." He smoothly took out a thermos and poured a cup of water to soothe the throat and handed it to Luo Qianqian.

Gu Yanzhi was surprised. "You have evening classes as well? I thought it was only Class One and Class Two who had them?"

"Evening classes?" Luo Qianqian looked up at Gu Yanzhi in surprise.

"Yeah, a two-hour self-study session where teachers go over a special set of papers with us in the lecture hall," Gu Yanzhi said, frowning. "I’ve never seen you guys there."

"We’re just doing our homework at school," Luo Qianqian interjected, stopping Pei Yuhao from speaking.

"I see, well, we should be going then. See you tomorrow," Gu Yanzhi said with a light laugh.

"See you tomorrow." Luo Qianqian waved her hand and then sat down. "Have you guys heard about these evening classes?"

"Yeah, I know. Class One and Class Two do things like that." Pei Yutian sighed after erasing the blackboard. "I thought you came to our class because you disliked the late dismissal times of Class One and Class Two."

Everyone knows? Seeing that everyone took it for granted, Luo Qianqian didn’t say anything more.

"Let’s go, it’s time to eat." Watching Luo Qianqian end the phone call, Pei Yuhao quickly packed up his school bag.

"Then we’ll be heading off," said Li Qi and the others. Luo Qianqian nodded and waved with her friend.

"Brother, what’s wrong?" After getting into Pei Yuhao’s family car, Luo Qianqian noticed her brother frequently looking back with a serious expression.

"It’s nothing. My backpack is just sitting uncomfortably." Luo Shufan smiled and patted Luo Qianqian’s head but still looked serious. If he wasn’t mistaken, the car behind seemed to have been following Pei’s car?

"Brother, you’re so amazing. I thought Qianqian was impressive enough, but it turns out you’re just as incredible. Is your family still short of a son? What do you think of me?" Pei Yuhao looked at Luo Shufan with admiration after having learned of his academic achievements, his eyes gleaming brightly.

"My brother has me; what do we need you for?" Luo Qianqian hurriedly embraced Luo Shufan with a protective look on her face.

"Who’s competing with you for your brother?" Pei Yuhao muttered. With a sister like you, I won’t have to worry about studying in the future, right? "I’m good-looking."

"Are you saying I’m ugly?" Luo Qianqian glared at Pei Yuhao in the passenger seat, then turned to complain to Pei Yutian sitting beside her. "Has your brother always been this vain?"

"Yeah, always." Pei Yutian nodded affirmatively.

"Little Tian!" Pei Yuhao was about to explode with irritation, and then the car stopped.

The driver said, "Young Master, we’ve arrived."

Pei Yuhao was startled and was about to get out of the car but the driver held him back. Following Luo Shufan, Pei Yutian also got out of the car. Pei Yuhao finally exited, a serious look on his face, as he watched the road they had come from.

"What’s wrong?" Luo Qianqian asked, seeing Pei Yuhao’s face turn serious all of a sudden. It was tense for her because Pei Yuhao was usually fooling around; when had he ever been so serious?

"The driver said..." Pei Yuhao looked at Luo Qianqian very seriously. "My dad and my mom are also here."

After saying this, he saw Luo Qianqian’s face collapse, and he secretly rejoiced. Luckily, he hadn’t started by saying it was her parents who had invited them.

"Qianqian," her brother caught her as she looked like she wanted to escape, and Luo Shufan couldn’t help but hold his forehead. When had his sister become so afraid of dining with elders? There had never been any problem when they dined with her grandparents, uncles, mother, Uncle Lin, or godparents.

"I’ve bullied him a lot at school," Luo Qianqian said with a sobbing face, speaking softly to her brother and pointing at Pei Yuhao. "Ever since I started junior high, he’s done all of my assigned duties..."

"Qianqian," Luo Shufan frowned, about to say something when he saw the restaurant doors open and a couple stepped out.

The man was handsome and tall, appearing to be only in his early thirties and bearing a resemblance to Pei Yuhao. The woman was beautiful and amiable, looking to be in her late twenties. The couple waved towards the Pei brothers. "Why did you just arrive?"

Luo Qianqian pulled on Pei Yutian and whispered, "What, your brother and sister-in-law are here too? Is this some kind of family gathering for your household? Then why did you bring us along?"

"Brother and sister-in-law?" Pei Yutian was startled and then laughed. "Dad, Mom, this is Luo Qianqian. She just asked why our ’brother and sister-in-law’ are also here. Haha."

Dad, Mom? Hah? But then again, the driver indeed addressed him as the Young Master just earlier.

"This child, always telling the blunt truth," Dad Pei said with a face full of pleasure. "I’m quite fond of such honest children."

"Hello, Uncle and Auntie," Luo Qianqian greeted them with a twitch at the corner of her mouth. "I’m Luo Qianqian, and this is my brother, Luo Shufan. Thank you for having us, and apologies for any inconvenience."

Luo Shufan followed his sister in greeting them.

Mother Pei was also charmed by the mention of ’brother and sister-in-law,’ her face radiant with joy as she pulled Luo Qianqian into the restaurant. "Auntie didn’t know what you liked to eat, so she ordered a few things randomly. Take a look and see if you want to add anything?"

"Auntie, we’re not picky." Luo Qianqian blinked. "Auntie, are you in your thirties? How is that possible..." Curiosity was written all over her face.

Mother Pei chuckled with pursed lips. "A woman’s age is a secret, you know."

Luo Qianqian blinked in understanding, then turned to see Dad Pei bombarding her brother with questions. She found it somewhat embarrassing.

Once they reached the private room, the dishes were just being served, and Luo Qianqian couldn’t help but swallow salivating at the aroma.

But under the stern gaze of Luo Shufan, she obediently went to wash her hands and rinse her mouth before sitting down.

Dad Pei looked at his own two mischief-makers and held his forehead. "Look at this girl, learn some self-discipline."

Pei Yuhao looked at Luo Qianqian with a grieving face and obediently went to wash his hands.

"Qianqian, Uncle thanks you. Yuhao and Tian’s grades have improved so much with your help," Dad Pei said with a broad smile, serving Luo Qianqian a helping of food with the serving chopsticks.

Luo Qianqian hurriedly expressed her gratitude, saying with an embarrassed face, "Thank you, Uncle. It’s their own efforts. I just studied with them; we helped each other."

"No need to be modest. We know what kind of rascals these two are," Mother Pei took over the serving chopsticks and also served Luo Qianqian, and then gave Luo Shufan a helping, "Eat up."

"Thank you, Auntie." Luo Qianqian bowed her head to eat. This was the reason she didn’t like dining with elders; it was fine at her own home since they knew her tastes. She glanced at the full spread, not her favorite but at least agreeable dishes. Still, she recognized the good intentions and could only accept them graciously.

After finally finishing the meal, Dad Pei wanted to take them out for clothes and gifts, but they hurriedly declined, claiming their family at home would be worried. They managed to leave without accepting a ride from the Pei family. However, as they left, Dad Pei insisted on getting their home address, saying he would surely visit sometime to discuss how to educate children with the siblings’ parents.

With a wry smile, Luo Qianqian left them her address without saying a word about her family, treating it as mere politeness.
