The staff member checked his watch and said there was half an hour to mealtime, but they could provide fruit and dessert.

Within ten minutes, a server had delivered the desserts and sliced fruits. Lu Jiaxin looked at the peeled lychees and picked one up with a toothpick to put in her mouth. Mmm, so sweet.

“How could they have any? Brother Feng would never bother to order desserts and fruit.”

Having often gone out with Lu Jiaxin, Qian Xiaoxiao also understood that the level of service was commensurate with the price. Looking at the desserts and fruits, she asked, “Sister Xin, those desserts and fruits must cost quite a bit, right?”

It was Lu Jiaxin’s first time staying at this hotel, so she was not sure: “It’s not like I’m staying here every day. Once I’m certain Aunt and Haifan are safe and sound, I will go to Venice.”

She planned to enjoy this holiday thoroughly. Once the company started, she would be busy, and any travel would need to be planned in advance. After resting for a while, Lu Jiaxin called Nie Zhan, “I’m back in Hong Kong, now at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.”

Nie Zhan asked anxiously, “Why did you come back to Hong Kong? Didn’t we agree that you would come back at the end of the month?”

Lu Jiaxin said, “You said that Haifan doesn’t admit to taking aunt’s things. I couldn’t reach him on the phone, so I came back because I was worried.”
