Chapter 130 Loot from kills!

Chapter 130 Loot from kills!

"He took an incredible amount of damage," another instructor noted, replaying a slow-motion clip of Lucian being slammed through a rock formation by Boris. "The [Celestial Adamantine Body] must have a high damage reduction percentage. And his pain tolerance... or perhaps his regeneration negates the sensation of pain to a degree."

The red-haired instructor pressed on, "With this level of power... he might actually be able to contend with our elite students, the ones in the Sky Ravager class or even the Void Walker initiates. Perhaps not the top tiers yet, but he's already leagues above any other newcomer we've ever scouted."

A wave of nods and assenting murmurs went through the assembled instructors. The initial shock was giving way to a dawning realization of the sheer scale of Lucian's potential. He wasn't just a promising recruit; he was a phenomenon, a potential game-changer.

The Dean, who had listened to all of this without a flicker of emotion, finally shifted his gaze from the screen. He looked at his instructors, his ancient eyes seeming to pierce through them. The hall fell silent, awaiting his

pronouncement.

A long moment passed.

Then, he spoke, his voice calm and devoid of inflection, yet carrying an undeniable weight.

"Interesting"

The single word hung in the air. It was neither praise nor condemnation, excitement nor disappointment. It was a simple statement of fact, yet from the Dean, it was more significant than a lengthy discourse. It meant Lucian had truly captured his attention, a feat few could claim. The Subdean's frown deepened slightly; she knew that when the Dean found something "interesting" it often led to... unconventional methods of observation and testing.

The Dean turned back to the screen, where Lucian was now methodically collecting his loot. "Continue monitoring. Full spectrum analysis. I want to know everything about his capabilities. And prepare a... more tailored curriculum for him, should he choose to accept our offer."

The instructors exchanged glances. A "tailored curriculum" from the Dean of Primordial Godslayer University was an honor reserved for the absolute prodigies, those destined to shake the foundations of the cosmos. Lucian, it seemed, had just been elevated to that rarefied status. The game had just become far more serious.

Lucian, oblivious to the stir he was causing, completed his sweep of the battlefield. The dimensional space around him felt... thinner, less stable than before. The intense battle, especially the final clash with Boris that involved techniques tearing at the fabric of this pocket dimension, had taken its toll not just on him but on his surroundings.

He needed to leave, find a truly secluded place. The thought of rerolling the newly acquired items burned in his mind. Boris, as an Envoy of a top university, and seasoned assassins, were bound to have dropped something valuable.

With his mana partially restored by his innate regeneration over the few minutes he spent looting, he decided to find a place to lie low.

He became a red blur, covering the distance rapidly.

He saw a massive tree even bigger than the rest. With a few attacks from him, he created a large hole within the tree.

Perfect.

He let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. Finally, a moment of peace. He sat down cross-legged in the center of the chamber.

His focus, however, was on his interstellar bag.

"Alright, let's see what treasures those fools left behind."

He began to withdraw the items, laying them out before him on the smooth stone floor.

First, from the assassins:

[Shadow-Stitched Cloak]

[Effects]:

► +75 Agility

+50 Perception

► [Shadowmeld]: User becomes nearly invisible in dim light or shadow (Active,

10 mana/sec).

► [Muffled Movement]: Significantly reduces noise made by movement.

Requirement: Level 90

"Not bad," Lucian commented. The level requirement was high, but the effects were excellent for stealth.

He could sell it for a price or maybe use it when he wanted or give as a gift.

[Assassin's Silenced Dagger (Pair)]

Type: Twin Daggers

Durability: 450/450 each

[Effects]:

- +40 Agility

► [Silent Strike]: Attacks made with these daggers produce no sound.

► [Venom Groove]: Can be coated with poison, +20% poison effectiveness.

Requirement: Level 85

Lucian snorted. "Rare grade? For Level 100 assassins? They were cheapskates." Still, silent strikes could be useful. Lucian mused as he placed the objects back

into his interstellar space.

[Nightshade Poison Vial Set]

Quantity: 5/5 Vials

[Effects]:

Coats one weapon per vial.

➤ Deals 200 poison damage per second for 10 seconds.

► Target's healing effectiveness reduced by 25% while poisoned.

"Uncommon... might be useful for coating something, but the damage is

negligible for my current foes."

[Spatial Disruptor Grenade]

[Effects]:

► Upon detonation, creates a 20-meter zone of spatial instability for 30

seconds.

► Teleportation and spatial manipulation skills are disabled within the zone.

Chance to interrupt channeling of powerful spells.

Lucian's eyes lit up slightly. "Now this is interesting. An Epic grade consumable.

Could be a lifesaver against certain types of enemies."

Now, for Envoy Boris's drops. These should be more substantial.

[Starfall Academy Envoy's Badge]

[Effects]:

+50 Focus

+10% Mana Regeneration

[Envoy's Authority]: Grants minor diplomatic standing with factions allied to

Starfall Academy (Effectiveness varies).

► [Emergency Beacon]: Once, can send a distress signal to the nearest Starfall Academy outpost (if within range). (1/1 use)

Requirement: Affiliation with Starfall Academy (Bypassed due to forceful

acquisition)

"Unique, but mostly flavour text for me. The stats are decent for an accessory,

though."

[Boris's Mana Core Staff]

[Effects]:

- +200 Focus

+150 Max Mana

► [Mana Core Amplification]: Spells cast through this staff have their area of

effect increased by 30% and cost 10% less mana.

► [Elemental Attunement - Lightning]: Lightning-based spells deal +25%

damage.

► [Cracked Core]: Due to damage, staff has a 15% chance to fizzle spells and occasionally leaks raw mana (minor self-damage).

Requirement: Level 110, Mage-type class.

Lucian whistled. "A Legendary staff, even damaged! The base stats are huge.

Shame about the cracked core and the class requirement. I don't use staves."

This was a prime candidate for rerolling.

[Scroll of Lesser Teleportation]

[Effects]:

► Instantly teleports the user to a previously visited, safe location on the

current floor of the Galactic Tower.

Cannot be used in combat or in areas with teleportation jamming.

"Useful utility."

Satisfied with the initial assessment, Lucian's gaze sharpened. "System, it's time

to work your magic. Let's start with Boris's staff. Reroll the [Boris's Mana Core

Staff],"
