Chapter 73: Cloud Weaver and Draco Fangs
"Prince!" Entering through the large gates, many citizens quickly saluted the prince, who rode atop his beast. Renri smiled and waved at the crowd, though thankfully no one approached him closely—everyone greeted from afar.
Yur looked around with quiet interest, fascinated by the city even if his expression betrayed nothing. His emotions were usually dulled, but every once in a while a spark of curiosity would flicker in his eyes.
Whether it was the throngs of people roaming the streets, the numerous vendors and shops, or the exotic beasts wandering about, the entire city was vastly different from anything he had ever seen. Yet nothing compared to the vivid memories he recalled from Mal; those fleeting visions of other cities were anything but normal.
Prince Renri noticed Yur’s impassive expression and seemed disappointed by the lack of reaction.
The main city of Freau was one of the most bustling and radiant in the kingdom—a source of immense pride. Even the cities surrounding the sects paled in comparison to the major mortal kingdoms.
"That over there is the castle," Renri said, pointing toward a distant large structure.
It was partially obscured by other buildings, making it difficult to discern—odd, considering the main castle should be visible from nearly every angle.
"If you look over there, that is where the sects set up their shops," Renri continued, indicating various spots on his map.
"Sects?" Yur asked, puzzled.
"Well, mortal kingdoms essentially supply these sects with disciples, and in turn, the sects establish shops in our kingdoms to attract people and rogue cultivators. It’s a business," Renri explained.
"What sect is that?" Yur inquired, noticing several flags representing different sects. One in particular featured the largest store and the busiest activity.
"That is the largest sect in our region—Verdant Crest. It was the sect led by Sect Leader Olmi in the past," Renri sighed.
"I see," Yur nodded, his curiosity piqued by what Verdant Crest had to offer. "Let me take a look at the supplies."
"Sure," Renri said as he patted his beast to halt its movement.
They all dismounted gracefully. Yur walked toward the large, luxurious shop owned by Verdant Crest.
From afar, it was evident that this shop exuded luxury compared to the others: hundreds of people flowed in and out, and even the guards—rank four, Shining Core realm cultivators—stood guard. Though weak compared to Yur, these guards were among the strongest in the kingdom.
"Welcome, Prince," the two guards greeted Renri with a formal nod. They didn’t bow or lavish extra respect—merely a respectful formality befitting their sect’s status, as they were stronger than the prince himself.
"How are you all?" Prince Renri asked politely as he took the lead, smiling respectfully yet without diminishing his own stature.
"We are well," they replied, then glanced at Yur and Zhal with unreadable expressions. "And these two are?"
"They are my guests," Renri said, smiling. "Anyhow, we shall peruse the shop."
"Go ahead," the guards murmured. Although they were curious about the mysterious man with Renri, they refrained from questioning further; after all, powerful individuals often visited the shop, including many Luminous Heart rogue cultivators seeking goods.
With Renri leading the way, Yur and Zhal entered the shop’s expansive first floor. Zhal glanced around but remained disinterested; material possessions held little appeal for him. Yur, however, focused on assessing the strength of those around him.
Zul, who’s the strongest person here? he queried.

[Rank 5 Luminous Cultivator detected!]
So, this place is well protected, huh? Yur mused. Although he could now face Luminous Heart cultivators and likely defeat them, it would still require considerable effort.
"If you look over there, that is where they sell pills crafted by the guild alchemists, and over there we have..." As they strolled through the shop, Prince Renri pointed out various items.
Yur merely nodded, his gaze drifting over the items. Perhaps I should acquire a new sword—the Hollow Sword is rather odd and would stand out. He preferred not to draw undue attention; in the Nor region it might be acceptable, but in higher circles, being conspicuous posed a major risk.
Until he became confident enough to face and kill adversaries, he didn’t want to stand out too much.
"What’s the currency here?" Yur asked.
"Are you looking to purchase something?" Prince Renri inquired.
"There is something I need," Yur replied, nodding. "I just don’t know what currency is used or how to obtain it."
"Don’t worry about the payment. Pick whatever you desire—it will be a gift for saving my life," Renri said quickly, taking the opportunity to repay his savior, albeit modestly.
"Are you sure?" Yur looked at him in wonder. "What I want will likely not be cheap."
"I am positive. Anything up to the third floor, I can acquire without issue," Renri assured him. "Why don’t we head over to the third floor? The items there are far superior and more powerful."
After a moment’s thought, Yur nodded. "I’ll take you up on that offer then."
With a smile, Renri led him up the stairs to the third floor. This level was noticeably less crowded, as its items were pricier.
"So, what were you looking for?" Renri asked with genuine interest.
"A sword and a spear," Yur replied. By now, his experience with various weapons—bolstered by memories—gave him a decent grasp, though a bit more practice would enhance his proficiency. He understood that a sword was effective for quick engagements, but in his estimation, a spear was more versatile: long, swift, and simple to wield.
"Alright, let’s see what they have," Yur said. They moved toward a corner of the third floor, where glass containers and a wall lined with assorted weapons caught his eye. Many items looked extravagant, but Yur’s focus was narrow.
Zul, help me narrow down which ones are good,
he commanded. Zul’s assistance was invaluable for someone who neither cared for nor possessed the experience to discern such details.[Processing...]

Soon, a few weapons were highlighted with a green light in Yur’s view—Zul’s doing. Yur walked over to one of them and grabbed a black sword with what appeared to be a charred hilt.
[Demon Reaper: 1890 Gold!]
He then approached another sword.
[Cloud Weaver: 2500 Gold!]
Of the swords, the Cloud Weaver stood out the most—a pure white blade with a light-blue hilt. Though lightweight, it emanated a palpable power, surpassing even his own Hollow Sword. Runes adorned its surface, seemingly infused with lightning.
"I’ll take this," Yur declared, meeting Renri’s gaze.
"Excellent. Also, select the spear you prefer," Renri smiled as he watched Yur examine the sword.
He then inspected the spears, one of which was highlighted by a green glow. Approaching it, he noticed that it was completely burned; its appearance suggested it might shatter on contact, yet it radiated an extremely ferocious aura.
[Draco Fangs: 4899 Gold!]
Yur eyed one of the workers stationed behind the glass vault holding the spear. "This spear seems special—tell me about it."
The worker nodded and retrieved a small slip tucked beside the vault. "This was forged from the fangs of a Tyrant Draco and imbued with its beast core. Though powerful, it requires a strong mind to wield, as the spear retains the core’s ferocity."
Zul, what rank is a Tyrant? Yur inquired.
[A Tyrant Beast is rank 5!]
"Not bad then," Yur murmured, feeling that the weapon was indeed very powerful—superior even to his own claws and fangs.
"Alright, I’ll take this," he decided, not hesitating despite his limited understanding of the currency. It was offered to him, so there was no reason to delay.
A life in exchange for a few weapons—Yur considered it a fair exchange.
"Fantastic," Renri said, unperturbed, and promptly assisted Yur in finalizing the purchase.
Although there was much more to explore, Yur decided he would return to the shop later. For now, he needed to head to the castle to learn more about current events.
