RAVEN.
Chapter 27: Round Two

Chapter 27: Round Two

The private jet touched down on the tarmac and slowly came to a halt.

The door opened to the floor and then a man clad in a dark suit revealed himself. He was tall, athletic and blonde with an undeniable air of power, grace and stoicism.

.

Looking at him, one could tell that he was in a really bad mood. That was why his assistant behind him acted invisible because he knew any provocation from him to his boss would end him.

He was Larry Hopkins, Lara Brant’s elder brother. The death of his sister had a huge impact on him as she was the only family he had at the moment.

Her death not only broke him but also brought out the demon in him.

When he had heard of her sister’s death, he was out of the country, on a business trip, away from reach. And when he heard that it was Raven, the weak girl they had played with years ago who took his sister’s life, rage consumed his sadness, and he wanted nothing more than to strangle the bitch with his bare hands.

A black car was already waiting for him, with a chauffeur already seated in the car.

Larry strode down the jet down the tarmac with his assistant, Perry Kings, trailing behind him as he struggled with their suitcases.

The chauffeur came out to greet Larry. "Welcome Mr Hopkins..."

"Shut your hole and open the damn door!" He snarled slowly through gritted teeth.

The chauffeur flinched back in surprise, "Uh... yeah... sure!" He mumbled, flustered, and then he opened the door.

Larry got in and then the chauffeur shut the car door behind him. He went ahead to help Perry with the suitcases.

"An X Day huh?" The chauffeur asked Perry as they put away the suitcases on the booth.

An "X Day" was what they both called a day their boss seemed to be in a really bad mood. Whilst a "G Day" was what they called a day he seemed to be in a good mood.

"I don’t blame him though." Perry whispered back, "He just found out that his sister was murdered. I can’t imagine how he feels."

"Ooh! Yeah! I remember!" The chauffeur said, remembering the news he had been watching for the past few days. "Fair enough."

They shut, locked the booth, and got into the car.

"Where to, Mr Hopkins?" The chauffeur asked, staring back at him through the rearview mirror... and damn! His face was bloody scary!

"Uh..." Perry fumbled for words, "To his home, of course."

"Okay," The chauffeur started the car.

"Take me to my sister’s grave," Larry said coldly, gazing out the window.

"Sure thing sir."

Then the car was carefully driven through the roads of Chicago to Lara’s grave. The drive was tense and suffocating for both the chauffeur and Perry.

A few minutes later, the car pulled up on the private property of the Brant household, where Lara had been buried.

He stepped out of the car and walked up the green garden to her sister’s grave with the epitaph Forever Be Loved embedded on her headstone.

Larry smiled bitterly as he knew that those words were anything but true. He knew she wasn’t loved. She had no friends; their mom abandoned them when they were still kind, and her husband, whom she was arranged to marry, did everything but love her.

The only person who genuinely loved her was her daughter Lucy and himself, her brother Larry.

"I came with no flower nor farewell gift, Lara; I don’t think that those can send you home in peace." Larry said slowly, "I think the only gift that can really send you home is that bitch’s head. I will bring you her head and then you can finally rest in peace. That will be my farewell gift!"

And he meant every single word he uttered!

Larry spun around and headed back to the car, a burning determination to catch Raven firing in his chest.

He entered the car and then the chauffeur drove off.

"Any updates about the Raven girl?" He asked Perry, his eyes still fixated out the window.

"Well, there are a few people who had called claiming to have seen this girl, but they all just seemed phoney." Perry replied, reporting through his tablet.

Larry didn’t respond as though Perry hadn’t just spoken. His mind was preoccupied with how he would separate Raven’s neck from her body and feed her body to his menegerie of pets!

Raven had utterly no idea what was coming to her!

Two Days Later

Perry Kings decided to drop by the bar and drink a little as he was physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted.

Trying not to provoke someone like his boss when he was angry was like walking on thin ice, and he had one hell of a temper!

God! Why did his sister have to get murdered, for fuck’s sake? He wondered angrily.

Hunching his shoulders he went into the bar and sat down at the stool.

The bartender came and he ordered a drink. He decided not to drink too much as he would need to be sober tomorrow.

Just then, the bar’s door opened and a woman stepped in. The moment she stepped in, all attention in the bar turned to her as though she had just waved her wand.

Even though it wasn’t the cold season, this woman had on a fashionably dark, sexy trench coat that was tied on the waist and stopped just above her knee, exposing her slender, long legs. Her hair was tucked into the dark wide brim pork pie hat she had on, nearly covering her face and the trench coat made no attempt to conceal her mouthwatering cleavages.

All the men in the bar stared intensely at the lady with desire, Perry not an exception. Even though he had a pregnant girlfriend at him, he listed after this sexy lady.

The sexy lady came and sat on the stool beside Perry and then turned to stare at him.

Perry peered into her face that was hidden under the hat and saw her face.

Damn, she’s fine! Perry marveled in list. I wish I could just fuck her!

"Hello, Pretty Boy." The lady said in a seductive little voice, "I’m Raven. Wanna get outta here? I’m sure you wanna fuck."
