Chapter 562: God’s True Reward!

Chapter 562: God’s True Reward!

Day Two.

Liu Ping arrived at school on time.

"Boss!" Several teenagers greeted him.

Liu Ping glanced at them and smiled. "Come on, let’s head upstairs together."

The boys followed behind him, marching toward the school building in a lively group.

—They had actually died yesterday.

So the people walking behind him now were new human souls?

They had simply been implanted with the memories of those boys.

That was probably the case.

Liu Ping reached the classroom door and said, "Good morning, teacher."

"Hmm, class is about to start. Everyone else, go inside. 0880, come with me," the teacher nodded.

"Yes!"

Liu Ping followed him to the far end of the school building, where a narrow, suspended walkway stretched toward a distant skyscraper.

Liu Ping focused his gaze.

Lines of burning text flickered before his eyes:

[You are the King of Deception.]

[No illusion can blind your sight.]

[You see the truth.]

The skyscraper vanished abruptly, replaced by a massive altar constructed entirely of white bones.

Every protruding bone was crowded with dense, swarming monsters shrouded in gray mist—only their crimson eyes were visible, all fixed on Liu Ping.

It seemed they were ready.

The ritual would begin as soon as a suitable human arrived.

"0880, follow me. We’ll complete this manifestation in that building," the teacher said.

Liu Ping forced a look of nervousness onto his face. "Yes, teacher."

The two walked along the long bone-path toward the altar.

"Don’t be afraid. Remember, God loves mankind. If you open your heart, His grace will surely descend," the teacher reassured him as they walked.

"Teacher... what happens if the manifestation succeeds?" Liu Ping asked.

The teacher smiled at the question.

"Success? You’ll radiate holy light and gain extraordinary weapons, attire, or abilities—something like that."

"And failure?"

"Nothing will happen. But don’t lose heart. One failure doesn’t define you. With perseverance, you might achieve even greater things."

How inspiring.

Liu Ping nodded slightly. "Your words are like a spring breeze, teacher. I’ll strive to succeed."

"Good luck!" the teacher encouraged.

They fell silent, proceeding down the walkway until they reached the altar’s center.

As Liu Ping stood there, every monster rose from the bone structure, chanting an esoteric spell—though the illusion warped their voices into something resembling elevator music, easy to ignore.

"Wait here. I’ll call you when it’s time," the teacher instructed.

"Understood."

Liu Ping stood at the "skyscraper’s lobby" (actually the altar’s heart), waiting.

Suddenly—

A line of fiery text flashed:

[The divine seed within you has resonated with another force of the same origin.]

Liu Ping’s eyes sharpened like blades.

—The ritual had already begun.

What now?

If he failed to manifest, he’d fake it with special effects.

But if he succeeded—

What then?

His mind raced.

Meanwhile, in the void—

The corpse of God began emitting a profound white radiance.

The light pooled like an ocean, thrumming with unprecedented majesty.

The teacher suddenly rushed back, whispering urgently:

"It’s progressing faster than expected. You might succeed—take this device. It’ll keep you safe."

He shoved a small object into Liu Ping’s hand and retreated.

Liu Ping looked down.

A silver box beeped rhythmically.

But past the illusion, it was a fleshy mass covered in eyeballs.

The eyes swiveled—some watching Liu Ping, others scanning the void—as it screeched:

「It’s coming! The power is descending! I’ll analyze its composition! Ten seconds—!」

The countdown began.

Then, a voice echoed in Liu Ping’s mind:

"My Divine Kingdom... I entrust it to you. Now is the moment—"

—The dead God’s voice.

"Explain. What must I do?" Liu Ping demanded mentally.

"It’s the manor. The monsters claimed it, knowing only that it transcends time... unaware it’s the gateway to the Divine Kingdom. Seize it—bring it to your realm intact."

The manor.

So he had to choose the third path.

—Manifest an uninterpretable power.

God’s voice added:

"An unreadable manifestation? That’s your specialty—deceitful, elusive, inscrutable."

BOOM.

The voice vanished as a tsunami of holy light crashed down from the void, engulfing Liu Ping.

Within moments, the radiance absorbed into his body.

New text blazed:

[Payment received—]

[Your divine merit has reached ’infinity.’]

[When using this card, sacred power will fuse with your nature, activating ’Creation’—materializing unpredictable, deceptive Sacred Skills.]

[All condensed into one card.]

A card appeared in Liu Ping’s hand.

Blank at first glance, its surface shimmered with pure sacred light.

—The essence of God’s power.

Now, it would merge with Liu Ping’s trickster nature, birthing something unprecedented.

But—

Rustle!

Monsters surged toward him from all sides.

A warning flared:

[All entities will covet this card!]

[Hide it—if they grasp it, they’ll unravel divinity’s secrets!]

[This is pivotal!]

Liu Ping’s lips curled.

He let the monsters snatch the card, watching as they morphed into humanoid forms.

"Unanalyzable! Unanalyzable!" the eyeball-creature shrieked.

The teacher reappeared, inspecting the card.

"Is this your manifested power?"

"Not exactly. It’s just... a minor byproduct," Liu Ping said casually.

"Oh?" The teacher’s gaze shifted from the card to him.

Liu Ping reached into the air and pulled out a sword. "See? I can summon endless items—though they’re all a bit... quirky."

He gripped the hilt—

Whoosh!

The blade shot skyward like a missile.

One breath.

Two.

Three.

A sun-bright explosion forced even the colossal eyeball in the sky to blink.

"It’s a sword... with nuclear payloads. And this—" He produced a hairdryer.

"What does that do?" the teacher asked.

"No idea—let’s test it." Click.

Splat!

White adhesive sprayed out, gluing every monster to the ground.

Grinning, Liu Ping conjured more absurd items: weapons, armor, plants—soon piling into a small mountain.

The monsters stared, dumbfounded.

"Fascinating! Worthy of study!" the eyeball-thing chattered.

The teacher eyed the haul, then the card. "And this card’s function?"

Liu Ping, busy fiddling with a rubber chicken, answered offhandedly:

"Oh, that? It rewards people for being happy. Simple stuff."

The teacher examined it.

"I sense its power... odd, but unremarkable."

With a sigh, he tossed it back onto the pile.

The card’s surface—once radiant with holy light—now displayed a painted jester’s grin.

Unnoticed, Liu Ping had already fused his "Creation" and "Deception" powers, cloaking its true nature under layers of sacred disguise.
