Zhou Yuwen grinned, "I'll cheer you up."

"You're already getting my cheer, aren't you?"

"Hmph. Yeah right. The moment you pull up your pants, you forget all about me and run off." Su Qing huffed, lying back down on the bed, her lips pursed.

Zhou Yuwen protested, "How could I ever forget about you?"

"It's just that things were awkward earlier. I promise I'll handle it in a few days."

"I'm stuck in my room because of her right now. So annoying."

"Well, stuck is stuck. Don't argue with her. Seriously."

So the two of them chatted for a while longer. Despite being furious with Pan Min earlier, Su Qing started to calm down thanks to Zhou Yuwen's patient coaxing.

The main reason was probably that Su Qing was still in a good mood after being with Zhou Yuwen physically earlier. Coupled with Zhou Yuwen's sweet talk, Su Qing finally conceded, "Fine, I won't argue with her anymore."

On the balcony of the second floor of the guesthouse, Peng Xiaoyong and Lu Wanting were chatting and laughing. Peng Xiaoyong looked like he wanted to come inside, but Lu Wanting stopped him, gesturing that it was late and he should head home.

Seeing Zhou Yuwen approach, Lu Wanting waved at him, and Peng Xiaoyong glanced down at Zhou Yuwen.

Zhou Yuwen smiled at both of them and walked inside while still on the phone.

Lu Wanting leaned against the railing and remarked, "Your brother seems so busy every single day."

Peng Xiaoyong replied, "Just fooling around all day."

Su Qing called Zhou Yuwen on video.

Zhou Yuwen didn't reject the call. As Su Qing watched the busy Zhou Yuwen on the screen, she missed him even more and asked what he was up to.

Taking off his jacket, Zhou Yuwen responded, "About to take a shower. I didn't really get to clean up when I was at your place earlier."

Su Qing chuckled lightly, "Well, now that you mention it, I didn't shower either. I need to clean up too. But I'm locked in here!"

"Ask your mom to let you out."

"No way. I want to see how long she'll keep me locked up."

Su Qing said defiantly.

Zhou Yuwen teased, "You're acting like a child again."

Su Qing shot back, "Well, I _am_ a child, aren't I?"

"Suit yourself."

After saying that, Zhou Yuwen went off to take a shower.

Even though they weren't sleeping together tonight, after having their first time today, Zhou Yuwen felt like he should stay by Su Qing's side. So, the video call stayed on the whole time.

Su Qing enjoyed sweet talk, so Zhou Yuwen kept coaxing her with affectionate words.

Meanwhile, Zheng Yanyan called Zhou Yuwen on video, only to see a notification saying that he was already on another call.

This made Zheng Yanyan, back in the Capital City, immediately furrow her brows. She quickly asked who Zhou Yuwen was talking to.

Zhou Yuwen lied and said he was talking to Liu Shuo.

"We're discussing work stuff."

"You guys were together during the day. Why are you still talking on the phone at night?" Zheng Yanyan complained with a pout.

Zhou Yuwen explained that there was an issue back in Jinling that needed to be dealt with.

And so, he ended up juggling Zheng Yanyan's messages while still talking to Su Qing on video.

Su Qing noticed that Zhou Yuwen was fiddling with his phone during their video call and asked what he was doing.

Half-heartedly, Zhou Yuwen replied, "Just responding to Liu Shuo's messages."

"Zhou Yuwen," Su Qing called out to him again.

"Hmm?"

Multitasking wasn't easy, especially given how quickly Zheng Yanyan was replying to his messages.

Seeing that Zhou Yuwen was so preoccupied, Su Qing didn't want to interrupt him. Instead, the corners of her mouth lifted slightly into a smile and she simply said, "It's nothing. I just wanted to tell you: I miss you."

Only then did Zhou Yuwen raise his head, looking at Su Qing's expression through the screen. He said warmly, "Silly girl, I'm always right here with you, aren't I?"

Su Qing suddenly remembered something and said, "Tonight, we didn't take any precautions… Do you think I'll get pregnant?"

Zhou Yuwen said, "Well, if you do, then you do."

"We're supposed to have a baby anyway."

"Hmph, you're so annoying. I haven't even said I'd have your baby!" Su Qing giggled, her tone half-teasing yet affectionate.
