Pretending to Cultivate in Kindergarten
Chapter 289: The Sisters’ Villa

Before heading to the Jiang family villa, they made a detour to Jiang Jingshi’s private beauty salon—an exclusive place offering one-on-one styling services.

Following her earlier arrangements, she had Lin Zhengran’s hairstyle lightly touched up.

“Don’t change it too much. Just tidy it up to suit his style,” Jiang Jingshi reminded the salon’s top stylist—someone she always requested personally when she came in.

The stylist was a true professional. She could tell this man wasn’t just any regular client. After all, even President Jiang was here herself and had brought him in.

“No worries, President Jiang. I’ll make sure both you and this gentleman are completely satisfied.”

During the whole styling session, Jiang Jingshi and Pan Lin sat nearby, watching closely.

And honestly, you had to admit—this stylist knew her craft. After washing, drying, and working on it for quite a while, the hairstyle looked barely changed at first glance. But in truth, the stray strands had been refined, and the overall look was far more polished.

Once it was done, Jiang Jingshi’s lips curved in a soft smile, and her cheeks turned slightly pink.

Pan Lin even joked, “President Lin looks good no matter the hairstyle.”

Back in the Rolls-Royce, Jiang Jingshi studied Lin Zhengran’s hairdo.

With a faint smile, she said, “Zheng Zheng, you look amazing.”

She gently ran her hand through his hair, her eyes full of fondness.

The driver and Pan Lin, seated in front, both stared off into the distance, pretending not to notice what was happening in the back.

But from the tone in President Jiang’s voice alone, they knew these two were hopelessly lovey-dovey.

This version of Jiang Jingshi was rare—even for those who followed her daily. Most people never got to see her like this.

After a while, the car entered a residential area.

As they neared their destination, Lin Zhengran suddenly spotted something out the window.

It was a girl with silver-white, shoulder-length hair in a pure white dress, walking past the end of the road. Her long hair obscured part of her profile, but her expression—icy and elegant—left an impression. She vanished quickly around the corner.

“Hm?”

Jiang Jingshi noticed his reaction right away. “What is it, Zheng Zheng? What did you see?”

He smiled, “Nothing. Just a passerby who looked kind of interesting. I’ve never been around here before. This whole area is filled with villas?”

“An interesting passerby? Mm, yeah—this entire district is all villas, but not that many people actually live here. It’s a really quiet and nice area.”

Lin Zhengran thought to himself—what mattered most about a villa district was the environment. He glanced back toward that street corner. Silver-haired girls weren’t exactly common in China... maybe she was mixed-race?

Soon, the car arrived at the villa gate where the Jiang sisters lived.

Once the driver opened the door, Jiang Jingshi and Lin Zhengran got out one after the other.

Jiang Jingshi checked the time.

“At this hour, my sister probably isn’t home yet. She’s likely still working at Jiang Group. Once we’re inside, feel free to make yourself at home. I’m going to head to my room to change out of this suit, then I’ll give you a tour.”

“So Jiang Qian’s officially taken over the Jiang Group now?”

“Mm. Dad thinks very highly of her. I’ve been gradually handing over my responsibilities at the company, and in another six months or so, I probably won’t need to handle much there anymore. Qianqian’s incredibly capable.”

She turned back and looked at Pan Lin.

“You can head home early today too. Take the night off and get some rest.”

Pan Lin bowed slightly. “Got it. See you tomorrow, President Jiang, President Lin.”

This was Lin Zhengran’s first time visiting the villa where the Jiang sisters lived. It was a two-story building with a large front yard.

There was a stone pathway, a garage, and a garden. Two maids were cleaning in the yard, and a driver was tending to a car—both clearly visible.

Lin Zhengran glanced toward the driver wiping down the car.

“Is that Jiang Qian’s car?”

Jiang Jingshi turned to look and was surprised. “Looks like it. Did my sister come home early today?”

Right as she said that, the front door opened.

Out walked Jiang Qian—long, jet-black hair cascading over her shoulders, dressed in a dark long-sleeved top, a black pleated skirt, and black flats.

The outfit made her look exactly like the ultimate villainess straight out of a novel.

Cold, elegant, breathtakingly beautiful, exuding a sharp and intimidating presence. She practically radiated menace.

Behind her was Fang Meng, as usual, wearing a low ponytail and dressed simply. Her expression was calm and distant as always—toward others.

But when it came to Lin Zhengran and Jiang Jingshi, Fang Meng actually smiled. Her face became much more expressive.

As the assistant, she was the first to greet them with a small bow.

“Eldest Miss, welcome back. And Lin Zhengran—it’s been a while. You look very handsome today.”

Lin Zhengran looked at the two close friends.

Though it had been over ten days since graduation, not much had changed about them—aside from their outfits.

“Fang Meng, Jiang Qian—it’s been a while.”

Jiang Qian blushed and replied softly, “Yeah… long time no see, Lin Zhengran.”

He’s even more handsome now. The way he looks today is just... dangerously good-looking…

But after that brief flustered moment, Jiang Qian’s eyes turned wary. She glared at her sister.

Jiang Jingshi blinked twice and asked curiously:

“Qianqian? Why are you back so early today? Don’t you usually stay at work until the evening?”

“That’s true on normal days. But today I made sure to finish all my work early—because I knew Lin Zhengran was coming over.”

“Oh?” Jingshi replied honestly, letting her guard down. “So Dad told you? I actually avoided calling you on purpose… figured if you knew, you might show up.”

Jiang Qian gritted her teeth. She knew it. Her sister was scheming to steal Lin Zhengran!

“If I didn’t come home early, who knows what kind of weird things you’d try to do to my classmate!”

Jiang Jingshi, now Lin Zhengran’s girlfriend, raised her brow confidently.

“Qianqian, what’s that supposed to mean? What weird things could I possibly do to him?”

Without answering, Jiang Qian stepped between them, using her body to wedge herself between the two.

“You’d better not do anything.”

She turned to Lin Zhengran.

“Come on, I’ll give you a tour of the house. Let my sister go to her room and rest. Don’t stick with her—Xiaomeng and I will show you around.”

With that, Jiang Qian grabbed his arm and started dragging him inside, clearly trying to separate him from her sister.

Jiang Jingshi called out in protest, “Hey! Qianqian, fine if you talk big—but don’t touch him!”

The four of them entered the villa. Inside, the home was even more luxurious than the yard.

In addition to the sofa and television, the walls were adorned with expensive paintings and art pieces.

As soon as they stepped in, Lin Zhengran couldn’t help but speak up:

“This is where you live? Damn, it’s amazing.”

Jiang Qian nodded. “This is the living room. There are four rooms on the first floor—I’ll show you all of them.”

Just then, someone else appeared on the staircase—a tall, sturdy older man.

“You must be Lin Zhengran. I’m Qianqian and Jingshi’s grandfather.”
