Chapter 88: Chapter 88: Finding Him Beautiful?

Aiden winced hard from his wolf Dazen’s bold comment, which left him quite flustered and a bit stunned to speak.

Until now Aiden had met countless people in his life and even attended a few forced blind dates with She-Alphas belonging to other powerful families. All those dates were arranged by his mother and despite his reluctance, he was forced to attend those gatherings many times.

But no matter how many beautiful girls he had met, his wolf had always remained unfazed and stoic just like him...which often led Aiden to wonder if maybe no one in the world would be able to sway his wolf.

Since he was a child, his own existence as a beta felt like an overwhelming burden to Aiden, which eventually let him learn to live with the grappling regret that it would have been a lot better if he was also born as an Alpha, just like Zenith.

And since there wasn’t a possibility of finding his fated pair unlike the Alphas or Omegas unknowingly Aiden used to feel a bit jealous of all those two classes of the society which were born with this divine privilege.

But now, for the first time after hearing Dazen’s curious thought about someone, especially a guy, Aiden felt a bit embarrassed as he couldn’t meet Kylian’s smiling eyes anymore. He scolded his wolf with the mind link, sounding a bit anxious, "Have you lost the sense of discrimination between a guy and a girl, Dazen?

"He’s a boy, as manly as one could be, so how could you find him gorgeous? Besides, omegas are always soft and fragile from their composure, so from which angle does he look like an omega to you?"

~ "You are aware too that I am not entirely wrong, Aiden. You were enchanted by his charming aura too, but you’re too stone-faced to even admit it. Besides, I don’t know why but my instincts tell me this boy isn’t an Alpha...and he doesn’t seem like a Beta too...so the best possible assumption is Omega, right?" Dazen confidently asserted him, without showing the slightest intent to rethink what he said.

"You must be too pent up to feel that way towards a guy, Dazen. Fret not, I will make sure to find any suitable girl anytime soon so you can release your sexual urges on her." Aiden scoffed at his wolf, frowning his brows as he was feeling uneasy by the thoughts his wolf had inflicted on him.

~ "Come on, I am not pent up or anything—"

"Excuse me, are you alright?"

Aiden winced again when he felt Kylian gently patting on his shoulder, moving a few steps closer. When he met his gaze, his beautiful blue eyes seemed to be concerned as Kylian urged him again, "Well, you were frowning very hard, and you kind of look pale. So, I thought maybe you are sick?"

> "Aiden, you’re the one I trust here the most, and regarding that, I am asking you a favor. Since you will be living on the same floor as Kylian, could you keep a watch on him when I leave to visit the Mansion? You already know that he’s a troublemaker, but you’re the only one I can ask for something like this. Could you look after him for me?"

Zenith’s voice echoed in his ears the moment Aiden lifted his gaze to meet Kylian’s keen eyes. The sense of relief his heart had felt for a second immediately dissipated when his mind reminded him of the duty that Zenith had bestowed him upon.

By now he had already realized Kylian had caught Zenith’s attention, and to particularly feel a bit enchanted towards this boy writhed him in guilt from inside.

Aiden swatted his palm that touched his shoulder as he moved a few steps back and uttered in a cold voice, "I am fine. You don’t have to bother about me."

"Well, it always seems as if you’re suspecting that I am up for something, just because I picked up a fight with Zenith on my first day of coming here. But...I just want to graduate from here like an Elite student, and that’s my only purpose." Watching him get startled by his touch, Kylian felt his pride was a bit hurt so he decided to convey his intention towards Aiden.

Exhaling a big sigh, he spoke before proceeding to go back to his room, "Also, I would request you to keep the deal between me and Zenith a secret from others, especially that bully gang of yours. I have agreed to be somewhat obedient towards Zenith, but I still don’t have any intention to spare any of those boys if they mess with me or the other students."

Fazed by the confidence with which Kylian answered him, Aiden gritted his jaws when he watched him head back towards his room. Unable to stand his curiosity, he blurted out, "A-Are you...really an Alpha?"

His sudden loud question flinched Kylian a little as he could accurately sense the dubiousness in his voice. Meeting his gaze back on Aiden’s curious beaming hazel eyes, Kylian grunted boldly, "What kind of question is this? Don’t I seem like an Alpha to you?"

"That’s not what I meant. You don’t possess strong pheromones like an Alpha should, and...y-you doesn’t seem like a beta too." Aiden firmly answered back, with his jaws clenched hard.

However, to survive inside the Academy, Kylian had already mustered his inner strength to fake his identity with much confidence. He snorted at Aiden, "Well, I dislike Alpha pheromones too, so I tend to take some medicines to tone down that scent. That’s why, I always wanted to be friends with Betas, since they don’t bother me with any uncomfortable pheromones. So, if you agree, maybe we could become friends as well."

Kylian tactfully averted the topic by throwing his purpose with his answer, following the suggestion Dr. Albert had made to him before.

After he headed back inside his room, Aiden was left alone in the hallway, standing still while enduring his erratically loud heartbeat. His wolf seemed very pleased with Kylian’s favoritism towards Betas, but his mind was deliberately trying to put his morals first.

’No...I mustn’t possess any infatuation towards this guy. I can feel he has caught Zenith’s interest, and as his best friend, I am supposed to only keep a watch over this boy...nothing else. I shouldn’t feel pleased with his intention to be friends with me. Just because he’s enchantingly pretty, I shouldn’t...

’Wait...since when did I start to find him beautiful? Huh?’
