Chapter 72: Chapter 72: She must be a Female!

"Haha..." Followed by a brief intense silence, Dolemort let out a small chuckle while fixing his gaze deep into her cold eyes. Mr. Clark and Mr. Smith both looked fidgety in that awkward atmosphere, but Elena and Dolemort both seemed strangely calm, facing each other on the opposite side of the giant table.

After discarding his cigarette on the ashtray, Dolemort retained his vague smile when he addressed her, "I like the fact that you didn’t waste any moment and came straight to the point. Mr. Smith, I must say you have raised your daughter very smartly."

"Um, t-thank you...b-but that was not all the reason behind today’s appointment, Mr. Agastya." Nervously wiping off his forehead sweat with a silk handkerchief, Mr. Smith tried hard to keep a cordial smile as he said, "I also eagerly wanted to discuss a business cooperation with you—"

"I haven’t given you my permission to interrupt my conversation with your daughter." But bearing his overwhelming aura, Dolemort raised his index finger from his hand which was resting on the table.

But just a small gesture from the most influential man of the country as well as one of the strongest Supreme Alpha to ever exist in the heart of Westport city was more than enough to shut off Mr. Smith out of fear, as he immediately bowed in apology.

"Miss Elena," His vague smile tainted a little when Dolemort narrowed his rolled grey orbs at her, as he deepened his voice, "I am glad that you were honest with me about what you had felt towards my son, but...such a futile emotion named love doesn’t bother to exist in my bloodline.

"I am sure you must be already aware by now about how troublesome Zenith has become over the span of years, but I am letting him enjoy his spare time as much as he can until I drag him back to the family, where he belongs.

"He’s my only child, so, I am very certain if you would have such pointless expectations from my Zenith hoping that he might reciprocate your affections one day, you’ll be greatly disappointed. Zenith is cold-hearted and he strongly despises weak people, and weak emotions, just like me."

"I am aware of that, Sir." But even after facing his curt criticism, Elena remained strangely composed while she conversed in a low, polite voice, lowering her gaze from him, "After my years of being in unrequited love with him, I have grown enough patient as a woman should be.

"To be honest, I had once given up on him and went overseas to pursue my career as a ballerina... But it seems like, I couldn’t completely give up on him after all.

"Once I heard the rumors of you searching for a suitable partner for Zenith, I couldn’t contain my suppressed desire anymore and rushed back home, hoping that I could have a heart-to-heart talk with you, Sir. Now, to be with Zenith, I have decided to give up on my dreams and serve him with my utmost loyalty for the rest of my life. I simply don’t bother anymore...whether he would choose to reciprocate my feelings or not."

’Woah! Kids these days are too bold! I can’t believe how could she keep such a stern demeanor, without showing any trace of nervousness.’ Stunned by her confidence, Mr. Clark couldn’t stop pondering in his mind, as he also observed Dolemort seemed a little pleased by her answer as well.

"I must say, you do have the confidence a high-mighty She-Alpha should inherit." Indeed Mr. Clark’s keen observation proved true when Dolemort replied to her using a gentle tone this time, compared to the stiff one before. He took a sip from the red wine glass placed before him on the table before conveying his words to her, "I strictly want the person I would choose for my son’s partner to inherit these three qualities.

> "First, she must have to be a female. No matter how much Zenith has been trying to get on my nerves by goofing around with people irrespective of gender, I would never tolerate him tarnishing our family’s reputation by bringing a person of the same gender home.

> "Secondly, she must come from a rich, wealthy, and influential background who would be capable of standing next to our family. She has to possess a good education, proper etiquette and match my standards strictly.

> "And thirdly, she must play the role of a perfect wife in front of the whole world, no matter what kind of tension exists between them. She has to support Zenith in every future endeavor, mainly helping him to take our family business to the most successful level one could ever dream of reaching in this country."

A brief nail-biting silence fell inside the VIP room when Dolemort finished proposing all of his strict demands one by one. He had lowkey expected Elena to back out by now out of nervousness since his demands had indirectly stated that ther person he would recognize as his son’s partner would have to play the role of an emotionless puppet for the rest of her life.

But instead of showing any reluctance, Elena calmly poured Dolemort’s empty glass with another fill of red wine, while tossing a subtle smile at him, "You’ve missed out on one point, Sir. You must also want a partner for your son who would be able to bear an heir to carry on the Supreme Alpha legacy of your bloodline. And, apart from matching almost all of your stated criteria, I am glad to tell you that I will be capable of giving you an heir as well, Sir."

Elena’s deep voice resonated as an intense echo inside the walls of the room, making both her father and Mr. Clark wince in disbelief watching her desperation to be with Zenith, no matter what it takes.

Before Mr. Smith could close his wide open mouth and let out a word to stop his daughter from going further, Dolemort let out a small snort, bearing a satisfactory look on his face.

As if he had finally found a worthy person who would be able to fulfill his pre-planned propaganda, Dolemort averted his gaze towards Mr. Clark before he urged, "As per our previous discussion, you should fix a proper appointment for Miss Elena with Zenith next week, and must make sure he won’t commit any mistake this time. I will leave this responsibility to you, Clark."

’Darn it!’ Anxiously nodding his head at his curt command, Mr. Clark glanced coldly at the girl who had a cryptic look of desperation beaming in her eyes. Scratching the back of his neck, he couldn’t stop worrying, ’She gives a strangely mysterious vibe, somewhat like the type of person Young Master would never agree to meet. How would I pursue him in the first place?’

............

The sun had already set long ago and it was already past evening. It took over 4 hours of car ride to reach back to the Elite Academy from Dr. Albert’s hospital, after taking all medicines and emergency suppressants prescribed to Kylian.

Dr. Albert indeed scolded both of the young boys for disappearing like that without a word as he was almost on the verge of getting a heart attack out of fear. After they returned, however, he couldn’t whine for much longer when he noticed Kylian looked a bit relieved after coming back with Zenith...as if he was actually capable of calming him a bit down, compared to his anxious jittery self in his chamber before.

Just as Zenith had stated to Mr. Clark, he drove the car himself, keeping Kylian stuck next to him on the passenger seat, quite forcibly.

Kylian was willing to have some snooze in the backseat, but Zenith as stubborn and demanding as he could be in front of Kylian, strictly ordered him as his authority as his Master to accompany him through the long route of driving.

There were several times when Kylian was struggling to keep his eyes open, but every time he tried to doze off, Zenith would intently hit the brakes of the car, to make sure the sudden jolt would disrupt him from sleeping.

Indeed, Zenith had newly found his most enjoyable hobby...and that was to annoy Kylian to the point he would start cussing at him.

However, Zenith was cautious enough to use the back route of the Academy to park the car. There was no way he could enter through the main gate, especially after abducting a student and bringing him outside for the whole day which was clearly against the Academy rules. Parking his car a bit far from the secret back route, Zenith stepped out first and made sure to check if they were observed by someone or not.

After he had made sure of the atmosphere, he walked over to open Kylian’s door and teased him with a smug, "Come outside, sweetie. Your Master has safely brought you back home, shouldn’t you reward me for my kindness?"

"It was my Master who had kidnapped me against my will in the first place. So, don’t make it sound as if you have done something noble by bringing me back." Kylian snarled at him in his grumpy tone, exhaling a heavy exhausted sigh.

But the moment Kylian set his foot outside the car, the sound of sudden rushing steps and a cold voice badly winced them from behind.

"Master?"
