Chapter 65: Chapter 65: My Trapped Fish

Until now, Zenith had lost the count of people he had encountered, but all of them served only the purpose of getting close to him being blinded by the enormous influence of his family in the entire country.

Being the only supreme Alpha heir of the business tycoon Alpha Dolemort Agastya, naturally, Zenith never experienced any lack of admirers around him, who were too desperate enough to let go of their self-respect, only so that they would be favored by Zenith even if its for a small course of time.

Due to one of the chief strict rules in the Agastya mansion set by his father, Zenith never believed in devoting his heart solely to someone. The absurd rule had sought him to believe there would never come a day when the mighty Zenith Agastya’s heart would be shaken off by someone, in the name of love.

According to Dolemort, love was called a futile emotion that could become a great weakness and served no purpose in his family. But since growing up, Zenith always felt love was rather a painful emotion for him...

The aftermath of falling in love came with a soul-crushing pain that held the power to crumble someone’s entire life, and which he never wanted to go through in this life. His dead mother, Zorina Agastya served as the greatest example to make Zenith put his firm belief in it.

Gradually, when he started to detest the bond of ’fated mates’ from his very early childhood, Zenith had sworn a vow to himself that even if he encountered his fated mate one day, he would always despise that person forever.

While growing up, countless people had fallen head over heels for him, except the omegas who were always too intimidated by his powerful aura. Irrespective of their genders, Zenith always openly accepted their advances since he never wanted to give special treatment to anyone.

He had somehow accepted that he couldn’t bring himself to fall in love with someone, not in this life.

The prime reason for that thought which had formed a deep void of emptiness inside him was the shackles of his dark and painful past that had twisted him to become a cold-hearted, relentless bully who bore a deep hatred towards weak people, especially weak omegas, as well as a ’Cassanova’ who would never bed with the same person more than a night.

Once his lust and desires cooled off, Zenith always resorted to using cruel means to hurt someone intentionally so that they would be forced to leave him, even if they were attached to him.

From the time he attained puberty, Zenith was confident there wouldn’t be anyone in his life who would force him to chase after them, no matter what kind of situation surrounded him.

Until he met Kylian.

Hearing Kylian’s absurd demand had left Zenith holding a fazed gaze towards him, as he couldn’t even blink his lashes for a moment. Everyone he had met until now always chased after his wealth and power, and there were only very few who wanted a small part of his cold heart.

Among the people he had mated with, some betas belonged to a poor background and always followed Zenith like an obedient dog solely because they could demand money from him for spending one night with him in return.

But this omega...yes the strangest among all, Kylian...this boy had the golden opportunity to ask anything he wanted, considering Zenith’s desperation to chase after him.

But instead, he chose to protect the weaker ones in the Academy, rightfully acting like their Messiah. Zenith couldn’t stop frowning at him while pondering, ’How could someone be so selfless like him? Is he really a fool, after all?’

Zenith’s baffled expression made Kylian frown his grimace when he whined at him, "If you can’t give me your word that you won’t bully anyone in the Academy anymore, consider the deal between us off."

"You...I can’t understand it, why are you still fuckin’ prioritizing others over yourself?" Zenith’s voice sounded a bit vexed when he scowled at Kylian aloud.

"You have transitioned into a dominant omega, so instead of worrying about others’ why don’t utilize the time to ask something for yourself? I had already told you before that I could keep you safe there if you followed my deal, so naturally, you wouldn’t be bullied by my boys either inside the Academy.

"But in return, for instance, you could’ve asked me to pay back the tuition fees your mother had to spend on you...Or you could’ve asked me to get you a lavish gift...but instead, you want such a useless promise from me? Are you actually serious?"

"It might be a useless thought for children who grew up in an influential home like you, but if you had experienced living a life I had to lead while growing up, you would’ve understood my concern."

Without a wince from his scowl, Kylian gently addressed him with a heavy sigh, lowering his pitch, "The reason why I wanted to become an Alpha despite hating most of them was because that was the only way for people like me to live a worthy life in this unfair world who were cruelly prejudiced towards the weak lower harmless class of the society.

"I don’t care if your bully gang targets me next or despite how much I hate to be near you, I am still willing to accept your proposal with the hope that my one sacrifice could change the unfair monopoly that you and your bully gang have been leading inside the Academy.

"And besides that, I have already told you before, I have no fuckin’ interest in your money, power, or whatever. I am just giving you my condition in return to accept your deal."

"And what if I refuse?" Zenith grunted in a low hefty voice, narrowing his cold glare at Kylian. "I don’t consider your offer worthy enough to hold me back from something I have been doing in my life for a long time."

"You are one to talk who’s threatening to expose my secretly captured pictures if I refuse your deal, so I don’t care at this point if you do not want to accept my condition. However, I also abide by my rules, and I will not accept otherwise." With a cold sneer, Kylian firmly asserted his answer while trying to walk past Zenith.

"You still don’t care if you get expelled from this Academy? Your goals and your dreams to have a better life would crumble if you refused me now... Don’t take my words lightly, I am very serious after all."

For the first time ever in his life, getting firmly turned down by an omega, especially Kylian served as an eye-opener for Zenith as he asked quite deliberately.

But tossing a cold glance at his restless face, Kylian shrugged, "If you intend to ruin my life anymore then go ahead and do that. I don’t care anything any more. What worse can happen to me anyway? But, I don’t know why, I did hope you would at least hear me out and try to live a wise life ahead, once for a change."

Kylian’s firm deep voice flinched Zenith too hard as he froze at his position for a second. As his cold dark orbs watched Kylian walk away past him, his answer unknowingly brought a vivid memory back to him from his distant childhood. A soft mild voice of his mother, Zorina echoed in his ears which left him spellbound for a second.

> "Zenith, promise me when you grow up, you will live a wise life for yourself. Even if I do not get to see that one day, you will always make Mom proud, right?"

The painful recall of his long-lost childhood left him guilt-stricken and conflicted to accept what Kylian had demanded. Until now, Zenith never bothered to worry about others and selfishly put his own demands before anyone else, but now watching Kylian slowly walk away from him on the deserted sea beach had started to make him feel stifled inside.

He couldn’t stop his pride from being hurt, but at the same time, the thought of Kylian slipping away from his grasp was enough to fuel his desperation to get him back.

Rushing towards Kylian in the speed of a flash, Zenith grabbed his arm and pulled him backward, which startled Kylian as well as if he wasn’t expecting him to follow after him. Before he could bring himself to speak up with his baffled look, Zenith muttered with his diabolical smug face, which winced Kylian at first glance.

"You want to see me live a wise life, huh? Fine, you win. I can give you my word, but consider this as your last chance to run away from me. If you still want to go ahead with the deal, learn that you will be my fish, the one trapped by me in the Academy and you will never be allowed to leave my side.

"By bullying those weaklings, I used to blow off my stress, but if you are hellbent on forbidding me from doing that, fine, I give you my word, that I won’t bully anyone in the Academy anymore. But then in return, you will have to meet my extravagant demands to take care of my stress.

"Even after hearing this, are you still brave enough to accept my deal?"
