As soon as the call was disconnected, Kylian slowly lowered his arms holding his phone, sensing as if his body’s strength was draining away with the drifting waves that touched his cold bare feet.

Before walking close to the sea, he was mindful enough to take off his sneakers, since it was the only branded thing Marita could afford to buy for him as a gift before sending him off to the Elite Academy.

However, knowing that Kylian would definitely refuse to accept such an expensive gift, she had secretly packed it inside his luggage which he came to find out during his train journey. She knew Kylian was always very fond of branded shoes, so she had managed to pick a perfect pair that would suit his liking.

My only dream was crushed by fate so cruelly, that my heart is all numb now... I don’t have any will to hope for a new beginning anymore..."

~ "Kylian, please don’t get so distressed. I can understand...Wait, aren’t those your shoes? They are drifting away with the waves, go catch them!"

Jolting back to his senses from hearing Morpheus’s sudden growl, Kylian rolled his orbs when he saw indeed his precious white sneakers were floating away with the water. Panicked at the sight, before he could rush towards the sea, a sudden strong grasp of his arm held his hand from behind, almost pulling him backward for a second.

"What...Who..." The moment Kylian was about to turn behind, a dazzling red streak of light filled the whole sky, making the whole atmosphere illuminate with that radiance!

At that exact moment, the ’Destiny Star’ crashed across above, making the blue sky foreshadow under its brilliant red light as if thousands of red torches were lightened up at that moment. The big tail of the star was streaked with beautiful golden light, making it appear as the most beautiful star of the century!

Within a flash of seconds when that rare legendary shooting star crossed the sky above his head, all Kylian could see in front of him amidst the dazzling radiance was Zenith’s cold dark pupils, bearing a fearsome gaze while being intensely locked on him!
