Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth -
Chapter 563: Psychic
To the west of Melemele Island, there was a massive underground cavern, with its lower space occupying nearly one-third of the entire island.
Inside lived a huge number of Geodude, Graveler, and Golem—over a hundred thousand in total—as well as hundreds of thousands of Zubat.
These two major species dominated the ground and ceiling of the underground cavern.
Of course, there were other Pokémon as well, but their numbers were nowhere near as large as these two groups.
Right now, the trainers from Celestria and Gallia were inside this underground cavern. They had been staying here for nearly half a month.
Although the number of wild Pokémon here was enormous, given their strength, these Pokémon wouldn’t pose much of a threat unless they grouped up and attacked together.
Their purpose for coming here was to pursue the five trainers from Volkaria.
However, despite having the numerical advantage, the ten trainers from Celestria and Gallia had already lost three of their own—one from the Celestrian team and two from the Gallian team—taken down by the Volkarians.
And not a single trainer from Volkaria had died.
Truly a testament to their reputation as the "Fighting Nation."
Of course, the Volkarians had pulled off those results by launching surprise attacks—if they had fought head-on, they would’ve been wiped out.
After ambushing the Celestrian and Gallian trainers, the Volkarians immediately fled, leading to a chase.
Eventually, the Volkarians escaped into this underground cavern. Had they not pursued them, the Celestrian and Gallian teams wouldn’t have even known this cavern existed.
Since they didn’t know what dangers might lie inside, they didn’t rush in at first. It was only after a long hesitation that they finally chose to enter.
The battle sounds that had been heard came from when they encountered two Elite-level Golem.
After capturing the two Elite Golems, Phil—a trainer from Celestria and also the leader of the group—narrowed his eyes as he watched the fleeing Geodude and Graveler scatter in all directions.
“Kate, can you find them?”
Kate was a female trainer from Celestria’s most famous Psychic family, a lineage known for producing psychics across generations.
Kate herself was a powerful Psychic, an Advanced-level one at that.
At her sides stood two Meowstic—one on the left, one on the right. With their assistance, Kate’s eyes began to glow a faint blue.
Visions of the future began to appear in her mind.
“I see them—I found them.”
In her vision, she spotted the five Volkarian trainers.
“A lake… blue stones…”
She saw the five Volkarians resting by a lakeside, with the lake’s edge lined with blue stones.
“Direction?” Phil asked.
“Northwest,” Kate replied after a long pause.
Just as she was about to end the divination, a Steelix suddenly appeared in her vision—right before the vision faded.
The sudden appearance of the Steelix didn’t draw Kate’s attention. After all, this was an underground cavern, and encountering a Steelix here was perfectly normal.
They had even run into one on their way in.
The underground cavern's environment was too complex, with dim lighting. Without Kate’s periodic divinations to track the Volkarians’ location, they would’ve lost track of them long ago.
“Damn it! Once we find them, I swear I’ll avenge Bruce and Benny!” hissed Ace, a Gallian trainer, his voice thick with fury.
“Don’t worry. They won’t live much longer,” Phil replied coldly.
The Volkarians’ surprise attack had indeed caught them off guard. They had assumed the enemy would be hiding and evading them but who would’ve expected them to go on the offensive and catch them completely unprepared?
Aside from their losses against Drakoria, when had the Celestrians ever suffered such humiliation at the hands of another nation? Of course, they had to pay it back in blood.
“After foreseeing their location, I don’t have enough energy left to divine fortune or misfortune. Phil, should I try predicting our luck next time?” Kate asked, stroking the Meowstic perched on her left shoulder.
The Meowstic on her right shoulder immediately pouted in jealousy.
Male and Female Meowstic had different colorations—blue for males, white for females. Kate’s two happened to be siblings, one of each gender.
Before the jealous sister could voice her displeasure, Kate’s hand shifted from the brother’s head to hers, maintaining perfect balance.

Divining fortune was one of the signature abilities of Kate’s family, though its accuracy depended on the scale of events and the people involved.
She could roughly predict general luck for the next five days into the future, but the psychic drain was immense. Once used, Kate would need half a month to recover.
That’s why she rarely used it. Had she done so earlier, she might have foreseen the Volkarians’ ambush—and perhaps none of their team members would have died.
They might’ve even turned the tables and taken down all five Volkarians.
“No need. The only real threat on this island is the Volkarian team. Just keep tracking their location,” Phil said dismissively.
He had already fought against Tapu Koko, the guardian deity of this island. That thing was at the pseudo-Champion peak level! How the hell was he supposed to beat that?
He had even asked Tapu Koko whether the other islands also had guardians, and Tapu Koko confirmed it.
Judging by Tapu Koko’s strength, the guardians on the other islands were either just as strong or close.
Which meant he didn’t have to worry about the Drakorian trainers showing up on this island.
Phil had a good grasp of the strength of Ember, Rowan, and Asher, having fought them before—and defeated them all.
As for Pierce, this was his first encounter with him, and Julian? He didn’t even take him seriously.
After all, according to intelligence reports, Julian was the youngest of the group, with only an early-stage Elite-tier Dragonite to his name. In Phil’s eyes, bringing such weak power into a Top-tier secret realm was practically suicidal.
He assumed that the only reason Julian had even gotten a spot here was thanks to his grandfather—Champion John’s influence.
That’s why the idea that any Drakorian trainer could defeat their island’s guardian never even crossed his mind.
Their only objective now was to eliminate the Volkarian trainers, seize their resources, strengthen their Pokémon, and eventually defeat the island guardian to move on to other islands.
For that, Phil was already mentally prepared for a prolonged campaign. He was currently at the peak of the Elite rank and to stand a chance against the peak pseudo-Champion-level Tapu Koko, he would at least need to reach the mid-stage pseudo-Champion level himself.
That could take a year—unless they found enough high-quality resources to shorten the time.
“Alright,” Kate nodded, agreeing with Phil’s reasoning.
In fact, deep down, she was reluctant to perform a fortune divination. The aftermath—a draining, two-week-long weakness—was unbearable.
In a Top-tier secret realm, being weakened for half a month was a death sentence. Even with allies around, who could guarantee they wouldn’t abandon her in a crisis?
They probably would.
So in the end, she could only rely on herself.
