Chapter 852 - Getting Ready for Tides

Everyone was in such a rush to share the idea that nobody thought of such a simple thing. May be they were getting used to that idea because Axel was so young but no normal 13 year old trainers would even think about joining the school so that he or she would go to war in a few years.

It was because till they were 13 years old, they were not an adult and no parents would be sending their kids to war.

There was a silence in the room and it was quite comical too. Finally, Krishna spoke.

"Then why don't we extend the age of the trainers from 13 years to 16 years? I don't want to extend it too far because I don't want them to get mature enough."

Axel could understand what he was trying to say. If those trainers were of higher age, then they would be well versed in the politics of this world. Most of the promising ones would already be picked up by powerful families and league. So, there might be a high case of spy.

"That could be done. However, a proper background check should be done for those students. But this project will take a lot of time and money. We neither have the money nor the personnel to teach these students.

So, we can only do this if the king agrees to it. But for that to happen, we need to draft an excellent project report and submit it to him.", said Axel.

For the rest of the evening, they discussed about the school and how it would be operated. Axel was quite fascinated by this idea. This war would go for 10 years or may be more.

So, for 10 years he would need soldiers and team members to fight for the tide battle. Training trainers in a school was a very good idea but there were a lot of complications with it.

Like, if the king didn't agree, they cannot create this school. They didn't have the money or the manpower to make this project work.

They would also need proper teachers and they also need to plan out the study courses and training courses.

Finally, after discussing for hours, Axel and his team came up with a preliminary plan on how to train the students.

"It is a good idea but the region had already invested in us with Pokemon eggs. I don't know if they will agree to the new school project. It is going to cost a lot. So, if the plan doesn't work, then let's not think about it right now.

Maybe in the future, we can sponsor the school ourselves."

All the new and young Pokemons of Axel were now having a serious meeting. Their leader, Togetic had set up this meeting. There were 11 Pokemons in this meeting.

Togetic, Salamence, Feraligatr, Aerodactyl, Primeape, Magneton, Blastoise, Aron, Staraptor, Pawniard and Koffing.

Aron, Pawniward, and Koffing were just kids, so they were just here to have some fun. But the others were here to discuss a very serious topic.

"We need to come up with a plan on how to dominate the tide battle.", said Togetic with a serious face.

"We are already so weak compared to others. Why do we need to dominate the tide battle? We just need to try our best to survive.", said Feraligatr with a laid back personality.

"This is why you are not the leader, I am. If we don't do something exceptional, then we will just be treated as second class.", said Togetic.

"Axel doesn't treat us like that.", said Feraligatr.

"He doesn't but others do. If we don't train harder than before then the gap between the old generation and us would start to increase. At that time, why would Axel need us? We might just be thrown to the side.", said Togetic.

"Really? Is that true?", asked Koffing with a worried voice.

"Of course, it is true. This world is very cruel to the weak. So, we need to get stronger. Axel is now mainly focusing on the older generation Pokemons because he thinks that we cannot make a difference. So, we need to prove him wrong.", said Togetic.

"I don't believe that Axel would abandon us but we do need to be stronger. We need to make a difference. But even if we try our hardest, we cannot reach king rank in just 3 months.", remarked Salamence.

"Why don't we all create a single combined move that would drastically improve our offence and defense?", asked Aerodactyl.

"That is a very good idea. But what kind of move are we going to create? We need to think about it."

"Well, there will be only 5 of us participating in the tide battle. Gandiva, Blastoise, and Magneton are just uncommon rank Pokemons and they would be crushed in the tide battle. Meanwhile, Aron, Koffing, and Pawniard are just babies.", said Togetic.

"But we don't even know how to create such a move? How are we going to come up with it in such a short period of time?", asked Feraligatr.

"Why don't we ask Mama Gogoat about it? She is also a king-rank Pokemon.", suggested Salamence.

Togetic looked at Primeape who had not even said a word in this meeting and asked, "Gary, what do you think about this idea?"

Gary who had its eyes closed the entire time opened its eyes and looked at Togetic. Even Togetic was a bit surprised by looking at its eyes. They looked very deadly.

"I don't want to sound rude but I never like team battles. That is just not how I fight. So, I will be fighting alone. Count me out of this.", said Primeape and then closed its eyes again.

After ranking up to elemental rank, Togetic was not a kid that it was before. It had become far more mature and it could already tell that it could not convince Gary. Besides, Gary's fighting style was truly made it fight single handedly.

"Ok, Gary is out. So, there are 4 of us. Lucario might join us in the tide battles but we will count it out too. I am close to reaching pseudo-king rank. You guys talk with Mama Gogoat and come up with a plan.

When I reach pseudo-king rank, we will start to work on that plan. Till then, try to enhance yourself as much as possible."

Togetic gave the final decision and then the meeting was completed.

A few days passed and Axel finally got his first good news.

"Sir, your idea was just spot on. Arcanine could finally hold all the power of 'Sunny day' and it could now deal devastating damage. This could turn the side of the battle if used well.", said Marry.

Marry was quite excited to share the news. They had been experimenting on the move 'Sunny day' and she was stressed about it. That was quite a risk to take and they had finally succeeded.

"Marry, I want to see it.", said Axel with curiosity.

Axel saw their strategy and he was happy to see it.

"I don't think that we need to worry about pure damage anymore. Marry, you did a good job. Tell your team to rest for 2 days and I will give them a bonus.", remarked Axel.

Even though Axel's Pokemons were powerful and had a lot of fire power, they still lacked a proper sizable team that could dish out a lot of powerful attacks to change the flow of the battle.

'Sunny day' team was still small and there was only one Pokemon that could use this strategy but it was a start and the area effect of the move was very wide too.

While Axel was training his team, a lot of things were happening in the outside world.

Inside the royal palace, there were some people who were discussing about something.

King and his sons and daughters.

Prince Kymar had made a lot of contributions with his connection with Oak and Axel. Axel was now appointed as the first knight of the region and he was much likely to be selected as the future king of the next region.

"Father, we have selected Axel as the first knight of the region. So, what about other knights?", asked Arron, one of the princes.

"Oh, and who do you have in mind for such a role? I selected Axel after a lot of scrutiny. He is a capable young man who wants better for the region and the world.

Do you have anyone like that?"

"Father, I don't think we have any other trainer who are as talented, resources and powerful as Axel but that doesn't mean that others are also bad. I know a trainer named Solace.

He is 21 years right now and he already has a king rank Pokemon. He is quite powerful for such a young trainer.", said Arron.

"What is his experience for the tide battles? Has he commanded a team before?"

"No."

"Then don't talk to me about him in the future.", said the king and Arron didn't speak after that.

Since, Kymar was in an advantageous position as Axel was the first knight that he had recommended, others also wanted to do the same. But were there any trainers as good as Axel?

Of course not. So, they started to look for any good trainers that had good talents. Solace was one of the trainers that wanted to support Arron.

But the position of the knights was not so easy to gain. The king was very serious about this.

"Father, I have a suggestion.", said Lyla. She was the youngest daughter of the king and the king adored her a lot.

"Why don't we invite Lance to be the second knight?"

"Are you talking about the same Lance? But he is not from the Kanto region."

"But Lance doesn't have a good tide battle experience. He might have a couple of king-rank Pokemons but he has not commanded a full team in tide battles. So, I don't think that we can appoint him as one of the knights right now.", said the king.

"So, why don't we offer him a test? We will tell him to command a force for the next tide battle and if he does a good job, we will appoint him as a knight.", said Lyla.

"Hmm, that is a good idea. Okay, let's do it. Lyla, since you brought it up, you will be responsible for coordinating with Lance and his family. Make sure that he agrees.

And regarding him, being the second knight, that would depend on his performance.", declared the king.
