Chapter 312: Original Text: Chapter 284 Starry Sky_3
"No need to thank me; it was a trivial matter. If it weren’t for the cause and effect of Toy City, I wouldn’t have gotten all the keys. Similarly, if I hadn’t broken through the dome, I probably wouldn’t have relocated Toy City."
Li Cheng’s gaze lingered on the insertion plug in the neck of Unit 02, where Ye Shen Yue lay inside. The flame of life extinguished completely upon seeing the starlight.
Only a final trace of a smile remained on his face.
"You return evil with good. This kindness is something Toy City can never repay,"
Mayor Dumbledore pondered his words carefully and said slowly, "Is there anything we can do for you?"
"I’m afraid not."
With only a few minutes left until the teleportation back, Li Cheng shook his head. He could take nothing from this world with him, and the technological gap between Toy City and the real world was too vast to replicate.
Wait.
He suddenly thought of something, and his eyes lit up, "There is one thing I’d like to ask for your help with."
...
Reality, Earth, Myanmar North, a two-story small building.
In a pitch-dark room, a two-meter-high cylindrical glass container stood silently, filled with blue liquid. Inside floated a naked young man with closed eyes, who looked exactly like Joker.
Beep beep!
The computer connected to the container emitted an urgent alarm, and the container automatically opened. The blue liquid inside spilled onto the ground, and Joker, or rather Joker’s clone, suddenly awoke, coughing desperately on the floor.
As the troublemaker stirring up chaos worldwide and a core member of the Wild Laughter Troupe, Joker had set up a backup plan before embarking on the deathmatch task.
Using an advanced cultivation tank acquired from the Script World, he created a clone using cloning technology, infusing it with all the memories of his past life.
Such a clone is not a player, without skills or items,
If the original Joker died, the machine would awaken the clone, making him the new Joker.
"Cough cough, to think I died in the script task. What a loser I am."
The new Joker grumbled while pounding his chest, coughing out the blue liquid trapped in his lungs. Staggering to his feet, he didn’t bother to wipe himself off and sat directly in front of the computer, inserting the data cable into the pre-installed port at the back of his neck to read the data.
The old Joker indeed perished in the script task, body and soul destroyed, but when using Eugene’s body, he had embedded a black box-like data recorder within.
After Eugene’s body died, it would be transmitted back to the real world, and the black box within his corpse would automatically activate, using the satellite in Earth’s orbit as a relay station to send all the data to the computer in the small building in Myanmar North.
Thus completing a form of inheritance.
The new Joker quickly read the data from the black box, musing, "So the last me was turned into a cockroach by Piffling, huh, really tragic."
Including himself, four players were eliminated. The final winner would emerge from either Gouchen or Piffling, but who had the stronger strength to win remained unknown.
It doesn’t matter.
Joker stepped down the stairs, and in the empty living room on the first floor, a chair was placed, where a new Lv3 player from Myanmar, drugged with anesthesia and hands and feet tied, sat.
Joker casually picked up a dagger, slashing the player’s throat,
while listening to the system prompt bestowing him player qualifications, opening the Lv1 player panel, and adding the president of the Wild Laughter Troupe as a friend.
"Hello, President, the mission failed. I need to go to Yin City."
Before his death, Eugene hid in the Shadow Realm of Yin City, and after death, his body would fall back to the real world. Joker needed to go to Yin City to retrieve his equipment and items from the corpse.
