Chapter 158: Chapter 144 Knowledge
Inside the safe, four different styles of princess costumes were stacked: Snow White, Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel. Each costume was stored in a vacuum-sealed compression bag.
This was actually unreasonable. Costumes that are frequently used like performance costumes are usually hung in a ventilated room with constant temperature and humidity. Storing them in vacuum compression bags not only causes wrinkles but also slight deformations to the fabric.
Upon opening the vacuum compression bags, there was a card hanging from the back neck of each dress similar to an employee badge. Each card had a portrait of a young and beautiful woman and a code starting with either NIE or DNI.
Li Cheng squinted his eyes and said, "On Earth in the real world, there are six Disneyland parks. Two are in the United States, one in Japan Tokyo, one in France Paris, and two in the Eastern Giant. This does not include Spain."
Andre furrowed his brows, "Spain?"
"These are Spanish identification numbers. NIE is a foreigner’s identification number, composed of two Spanish letters before and after, with seven Arabic digits in between. DNI is a Spanish citizen’s identification number, made up of seven digits followed by a Spanish letter."
Li Cheng casually explained and took out the Eyes Communication Headset from the Backpack, putting it on himself.
You know all this?
Bai Lang’s eyelid twitched. Although players are full-time and don’t need to worry about livelihoods, most of their free time is spent in intense training—who has the leisure to remember other countries’ ID numbers?
"Don’t understand? In script tasks that involve solving puzzles, some obscure knowledge can save lives."
Li Cheng smiled confidently, "For example, giraffes only sleep an average of two hours a day; the driest place in the world is the Atacama Desert in Chile; at one in the morning, throwing manure in the room can reveal the unclean things."
? Did some strange things get mixed into those three pieces of obscure knowledge?
Ignoring Bai Lang’s exasperated expression, after a brief delay, the Eyes Communication Headset finally connected.
"This is Special Affairs Bureau’s Thousand Eyes Room, displeased to serve you."
A young, tired and lazy voice came through the headset, sounding like a hapless office worker who had been ordered to work overtime for seven days without overtime pay, every word dripping with resentment.
"Hello, this is Ant."
Li Cheng cleared his throat. He had previously discussed with Yuan Zhixia and learned how to use the communication headset—this headset could connect to the customer service at the Thousand Eyes Room of Special Affairs Bureau, essentially opening a divine view.
"Oh, it’s you."
The spirit of the customer service girl on the phone perked up, "What’s going on?"
Li Cheng quickly and briefly explained the situation, asking for help to access the real-world Spanish identity data archives.
Before long, the customer service girl, or rather Yuan Zhixia’s cousin Yuan Donglian, found the answer, "The real-world Spain has these four identification numbers, but the data shows none match your description."
Spanish ID uses a unique number for each person, which never changes. Now, it’s finally certain; this Disneyland has absolutely nothing to do with Earth, most likely existing in a fictional or parallel world.
"By the way, Su Jie just contacted me, he’s still alive. Do you need help to connect?"
"Okay." Li Cheng did not expect Su Jie to be able to escape from that situation, and immediately nodded in agreement.
"Hello," the call connected, Su Jie’s voice was exceptionally weak, "Mr. Ant? I’m in the security room..."
At this moment, he was crouched under a desk, his face pale, his right arm broken at the shoulder, wrapped with layers of bloody bandages, holding a cylindrical glass jar containing a light green liquid and... the head of Ding Shaohua with her eyes closed.
The head floated up and down in the green liquid, her eyelids occasionally twitching, indicating that there were still bioelectric signals being transmitted, and there was still a glimmer of hope for rescue.
"Cough, cough, cough—" Su Jie coughed violently, his expression extremely bitter.
When the air raid siren sounded, he was unable to save Ding Shaohua, and he helplessly watched as an army of dolls shattered the phone booth and tore her body to pieces.
Su Jie paid the price of an arm to retrieve Ding Shaohua’s head and barely managed to escape. He also used the Concealment Skill given by the bureau, hiding and sneaking his way to the security room.
The room was empty, completely disordered, the walls pocked with bullet holes, the ground stained with nearly dried blood, all hinting at past chaos.
"Have you reached the security room? Okay, look for something like employee rules in the room, they should be similar to visitor rules in format."
Ant’s voice came through the headset, Su Jie nodded in agreement, mustering his energy, crawling silently out from under the desk.
Although it was unclear why the other party had the Eyes Communication Headset (normally issued only to internal members and friendly organizations of the Special Affairs Bureau), now was not the time to ask.
Su Jie first carefully placed Ding Shaohua’s head in the glass jar on the ground, then silently searched the security room for the employee rules.
"Found it."
Unveiling a collapsed opaque curtain, behind it was revealed a sign with blue background and white letters, topped with the words "Security Rules".
The first few rules of the Security Rules were consistent with those of the employee and visitor rules, varying only in the latter portion.
"6. When visitors enter the park, inspect every package, take photos of the princess dolls found and register them, especially noting the color of each part of the dolls. When visitors exit the park, check the guests carrying princess dolls. If there are extra princess dolls or the colors of the dolls have changed, place them in the safe."
"7. Unusual princess dolls are a strategic resource. When the air raid siren sounds, and patrol floats display princess characters, hold the doll and lead them to Fantasy Castle."
"8. Do not discuss anything about ’Fantasy Castle.’ If a colleague brings it up actively and talks about how fun the attractions in that area are, immediately stop the conversation and lead them to the phone booth."
"9. During daytime patrols in the park, constantly watch for humanoid signs by the roadsides. When visitors start growing hair, lead them inside the phone booth. If their family or friends object, use reasons such as ’draws for activities.’"
"10. If you find a colleague wearing a doll costume with holes for eyes and uncommunicative, after sunset and park closure, assist them in completing four amusement rides, then help them remove the costume and leave through the park exit. If you find a ’colleague’ wearing a doll costume with no eye holes, lead them to the pirate harbor area to be handled by the crocodile."
"11. Continuous sounding of the air raid siren indicates the worst-case scenario has occurred, Fantasy Castle will appear and persist. All security must immediately head to Fantasy Castle and manually shut off the air raid siren. Any form of force may be used during this period."
