Planet Pulverizer: A Mortal's Ascent -
Chapter 529: Return
Chapter 529: Return
Fang Chunyang's heart stirred. "A precursor!?"
He already knew what had happened during the Ancient Astral World era. After Astral God Mara swept through the world with bloodshed, she departed from the star regions housing the Moon Demon, Celestial Barren, and the Mortal Domain, venturing into the boundless cosmos.
Not long after, she cast the Supreme Demonic Sword into a black hole. Now, a Supreme Demonic Sword with effects similar to the one Astral God Mara wielded has appeared in the Void World....
It seemed likely that the black hole didn't destroy the Supreme Demonic Sword but instead allowed it to fall into the hands of a key figure in the Void World.
—The main hall appears to have uncovered critical information. The Void Divine Treasure points to an ancient existence, one that has been silently drifting through the cosmos, like a ghost, hovering between existence and non-existence, life and death... The last record of him leads to a place called the Star Prison...
Fang Chunyang's eyes widened. "The human race's position in the vast galaxy!?"
To possess the power to affect an entire race....
"How could a single divine treasure... achieve that...?"
—The Void Divine Treasure World isn't an ordinary treasure world. It's one of the three forbidden worlds. Even a Cosmic Radiance might find itself powerless within.
"A forbidden divine treasure world, huh," Fang Chunyang murmured, his thoughts heavy. After a long pause, he asked, "Given this trajectory... will the main hall take major action regarding the Void Divine Treasure World in the next one or two cycles?"
—Indeed. That's why I said a Solar Flare will personally intervene. Li Pin is far beyond an ordinary pioneer. In fact, he surpasses even most Gold Pioneers.
She looked at Fang Chunyang.
—The batch of pioneers from the Mara Divine Treasure World will likely receive a summon from the main hall. You should consider your options. If the Void Divine Treasure World feels too dangerous, you can retreat to another Divine Treasure World to lay low. But if you want to try your luck with the forbidden Divine Treasure World, this is your chance. The main hall's support this time is unprecedented.
Fang Chunyang's pupils dilated. "A summon?"
The Divine Treasury Hall rarely imposed restrictions, nor issued compulsory orders on Pioneers. The summon order was no exception—it wasn't mandatory. Yet, anyone refusing a summon from the Divine Treasury Hall would find its doors closed, denying them future convenience for their lack of foresight.
—Think it over.
With that, Astral God Mi Meng's figure faded away.
"The main hall actually... issued a summon order?" Fang Chunyang muttered.
Since its establishment, the Divine Treasury Hall had issued less than ten summon orders. Among them, at least half uncovered astonishing secrets upon breaking into the respective divine treasure worlds. Paths like the Supreme Path, the Ninety-Nine Steps Supreme Ladder, and the Sacred Road were all excavated from those worlds.
"What kind of intelligence do they have? Could this Void Divine Treasure World really be that crucial? Is it significant enough to shift the balance of the human race?"
Fang Chunyang found himself overwhelmed by an inexplicable excitement. It felt as though... if he could participate in this expedition to the Void Divine Treasure World, he would bear witness to history!
His heart raced, blood surging with heat. "I have to go! If I don't, I'll regret it for the rest of my life!"
If he were to go, he wouldn't team up with his previous group. That was unnecessary.
As for Li Pin... he considered his breakthrough into the Mara World a stroke of luck. However, if the Mara World and the Void World were truly connected, Li Pin could undoubtedly be a key figure in this operation.
This realization cemented Fang Chunyang's decision.

Meanwhile, Li Pin had waited a month and a half at the final Astral Gate leading to the Yin Luo Galaxy. There was no other option. As one of the most sought-after galaxies in the Xian Ying Star Cluster, the Yin Luo Galaxy, tied to the inheritance of Astral God Yin Luo, enforced strict inspections for anyone entering or leaving.
If it weren't for the Yin Luo Galaxy being his birthplace, Li Pin would have found it difficult to return. Even his status as a Divine Being would have been of little help.
After enduring weeks of scrutiny and queuing, Li Pin finally crossed the Astral Gate and set foot on the primary planet of the Homo Sapien Alliance's Yin Luo Galaxy Office.
As the bustling noise around him gradually faded, Li Pin felt somewhat out of place.
He stretched his body slightly. "So this is the Yin Luo Galaxy?"
He had half-expected to be ambushed before entering the galaxy. Yet, no other Tier Six Legends or Divine Beings showed up—not even the Dragon Hawk Squad member who had been tailing him for two stellar years.
Li Pin was feeling slightly exasperated. Are the Dragon Hawk Squad members all bark and no bite? They really know how to talk, but when the time comes for them to act, they turn spineless?
He had clashed with an Astral God avatar, but he had never fought a Tier Six Legend or another Divine Being. Perhaps his display of strength during that battle had deterred them. But still... there was nothing else he could do.
Li Pin thought to himself, That Astral God, codenamed White Mirror.... His avatar was overwhelmingly strong. During our fight, I couldn't even contain my own energy ripples from leaking out.
In fact, it wasn't just Li Pin; later on during the fight, White Mirror had failed to precisely control his own power as well.
If their battle had taken place in the Astral World, even if White Mirror could triumph over him, he would still have to endure the burden of wielding the Eternal Oblivion Force equivalent to 180,000 Power Level.
As Li Pin's thoughts drifted, a young man in a white robe approached with a smile. "Lord Li Pin?"
"I am. And you are...?"
The young man replied courteously, "You may call me Mu Qiu. I am a disciple of Master Xia Yan. Under his orders, I have been awaiting your arrival.
"Master hopes to learn the details of the Astral God from you, to aid in tracking down such a madman who dares to challenge the Divine Treasury Hall's rules."
Li Pin nodded. Shortly after leaving the Forest Feather Sect, the Divine Treasury Hall had already contacted him regarding the attack by the Astral God's avatar.
Yet, no verbal account could compare to a face-to-face exchange.
"Thank you for your effort," Li Pin replied.
Mu Qiu led him to a nearby flying vehicle and invited him aboard. As the vehicle activated, all others on the same track automatically made way, and checkpoints along the route turned green without delay.
Maintaining a swift and steady speed, the vehicle traveled over a thousand kilometers from the Astral Gate, heading toward a mountain range. It eventually stopped at a mansion perched atop one of the highest peaks.
When Li Pin disembarked, he noticed four figures chatting in the garden ahead. Apart from Xia Yan of the Divine Treasury Hall, the others were all prominent figures from the Yin Luo Galaxy. Among them was Su Yunguang, Chief Officer of the Homo Sapien Alliance's Yin Luo Galaxy office.
Li Pin sensed no energy fluctuations from Su Yunguang. Such precise control over power... it was evident he was an avatar of an Astral God.
The other two individuals resonated faintly with the Astral World Fragments Li Pin carried. This unique characteristic unmistakably marked them as Divine Beings.
When Li Pin arrived, it wasn't Xia Yan who spoke first, but rather Su Yunguang, the chief officer. With a smile on his face, he said, "Lord Li Pin, if not for Mr. Xia's mention, I would never have known that a remarkable figure like you had risen in the Yin Luo Galaxy.
"Breaking the divine treasure world in three stellar months, reaching a level comparable to Divine Beings in two stellar years, and even defeating an Astral God's avatar with the might of a Divine Weapon."
His tone carried genuine admiration. "Truly extraordinary."
"Chief Officer, you flatter me," Li Pin said with a slight nod.
One of the Divine Beings behind him chimed in. "It's been a long time since such an outstanding genius appeared in the Yin Luo Galaxy. I am Lin Yu. Lord Li Pin, may I represent the Yin Luo Council in extending an invitation for you to join the Council?"
Li Pin looked at him. "Represent the Yin Luo Council?"
He had seen an image of the Chairman of the Yin Luo Council, and this person didn't seem to be him.
But then, Li Pin quickly recalled something.
The Yin Luo Galaxy was primarily controlled by the Qi, Ying, and Shuo Clans. In the past, the position of chairman would rotate among the three clans. However, when the situation became tense, the three clans would sometimes relinquish the position of chairman to draw attention away.
And with the great Light of the Ark, Yin Luo, choosing this galaxy as the place for the Eternal Oblivion, it was bound to attract many factions. As a result, the chairman's position became a hot potato, and someone new took over.
The three clans were temporarily retreating behind the scenes, but that didn't mean they had lost control of the Yin Luo Galaxy. They still had Astral Gods backing them. Though the Astral Gods couldn't remain in a place like Yin Luo, the entire Yin Luo Galaxy still answered to them.
At this point in time, joining the Yin Luo Council could give Li Pin some initiative. But it also meant endless trouble.
Li Pin thought for a moment before replying, "The position of council member is a serious matter, and I lack experience in this area. I'd rather not cause trouble for you all."
Lin Yu understood Li Pin's meaning, and his smile brightened. "No problem. Lord Li Pin, you could simply hold a nominal position in the Council. With that status, you'll find things much more convenient in the Yin Luo Galaxy and resolve many trivial matters."
"Convenient?"
Li Pin quickly thought of something. Becoming a member means I might not have to wait in line at the Astral Gate in the Yin Luo Galaxy, right? How much time could that save?
Though this might seem trivial to other Divine Beings, it was crucial for Li Pin, who had only cultivated for a few stellar years. In the time he wasted waiting in line and traveling, he could've potentially been breaking through a realm instead.
Time was valuable, and waiting in line at the Astral Gate would be a waste.
With this in mind, Li Pin said, "In that case, I'll humbly accept."
