Chapter 112: Red

Chapter 112: Red

The giant serpent’s rings stretched across the entire city, destroying buildings, bridges, and villas.

A green mist spread in its path, engulfing the entire city.

Fafnir spread his wings, roaring at the giant reptile which opened a large mouth and emitted a high-pitched sound.

Elizabeth observed this scene and then turned her gaze toward the countless dragons that surrounded them before smiling.

"What a great day to be alive!"

About fifty Dragons flew towards Midgard, but as they got closer, a shower of shining arrows fell upon them, piercing the smaller ones and tearing the wings of the largest.

Dora appeared among them, a golden ball in his hand.

"Aurum Serra"

The space cracked and dozens of soul stones glowed in the air.

Their light converged on Dora but the boy could not enjoy this spectacle as the gigantic jaw of a Dragon rushed towards him.

"Damn..."

Midgard let out a shrill sound and the air turned green.

Giant chains suddenly fell from the sky and crashed to the ground, skewering the Dragons in their path.

Dora disappeared and reappeared above Fafnir.

Several balls of different colors surrounded him.

Midgard rose higher and the Rift Clouds took on a greenish tint.

At the same time, they unleash a festival of attacks.

Green rays fell from the sky, black and yellow smoke ravaged the ground like a cyclone, and a storm of red and blue particles turned the debris into dust.

In this apocalypse, Fafnir folded his wings and instantly disappeared from the ground.

"!!!" Dora flinched as the giant bullet flew past him, knocking him further.

(His speed...)

Reduced in size, the giant Dragon was much faster than before.

His mouth lit up with a red light and suddenly, a red flash engulfed Dora and Midgard’s head.

Far away, beneath the Rift, the group led by Elizabeth had their hands full with the Dragon army.

Angelo and Peters used their power to keep the group in the air, consuming too much of their focus.

Many of the dragons’ body parts fell to the ground, but even so, their numbers continued to increase.

Each member jumped into Angelo’s dimensional holes, emerged on top of a Dragon, launched a powerful attack, then landed on one of Peter’s energy dragons, got transported, and repeated the same process.

The atmosphere suddenly turned red.

"Watch out!!!"

Leo shouted as Fafnir’s breath engulfed them.

A phenomenal ray tore through the clouds, disintegrating everything within them and reaching a distant hillside before exploding.

Fafnir rose into the air again and made another alpha call.

This time, the red clouds and black mist spread around the burning city.

Midgard opened its mouth wide, purple energy converging within, and shot a gigantic beam at the Dragon King who did the same.

The two attacks collided and exploded, causing a terrible shock wave.

Elizabeth rose from the rubble.

Her armor was partially destroyed and the right side of her face was burned.

She couldn’t say what had happened, or even how her comrade was doing.

All were scattered everywhere, on burning debris, or under rubble drowned in black smoke.

She was a little dazed and shook her head, but a muffled voice brought her back to her senses.

"...er!!! ... HEALER!!!"

She flinched and rushed towards the origin of the voice and realized the tragedy.

Three Holy Knights, including Peters and Agharita, stood next to a completely burned body.

Elizabeth, wide-eyed, walked towards them.

Agharica, in despair, gave him CPR while the others watched in disbelief.

The body finally made a sound, and their faces fell in despair when they recognized Angelo.

"Please... A healer! We need... Someone! HELP!!!"

She started shouting for someone to hear her, but even if they could hear her, everyone was in bad shape.

It was a single breath, from the Dragon King using a less powerful form, that destroyed their formidable formation.

"Agharita..." Peters murmured.

The woman kept pushing Angelo’s chest.

"Agharita... Please." The second Holy Knight whispered, conjuring up a magic staff.

The woman finally stopped an angry expression and tears in her eyes.

"I know... We can’t even mourn..."

Above them, three giant Dragons had just emerged from the Rift.

She stood up pointing her sword to the sky.

"Curse you! Curse all of you!!! Come here you bas-"

A projectile crashed a few meters away.

They flinched and lined up, then, as the smoke cleared, their eyes widened.

"D-Dora?" Elizabeth whispered.

The young boy’s outfits were very damaged, but his body was in good shape.

On his knees, he watched the Titans clash, the giant body of Midgard stretching across the city and Fafnir flying among his Dragons.

Dora gritted his teeth and punched the ground in frustration.

"How dare you..." Agharita spoke.

Dora’s gaze shifted to them and then flinched seeing their desolating state.

"It’s your fault... Everything is your fault! This battle, these injuries... it’s all your fault."

Dora sighed and walked toward them.

"I’m not responsible for the Twilight of Gods, but you’re responsible for not stopping it."

"By letting you kill Midgard?" Peters drew his spear.

"You’re saying that you could stop it? Do you even understand what you’re saying? This is Hell, so it only means that you would be even worse!"

Dora stopped and facepalmed.

"... You’re so frustrating... And of course, since you can die you have an escape. How about I keep healing you over and over? So we can all suffer eternally?"

As he said, he pointed his hand toward Angelo and a green light started covering him.

The four emissaries were surprised, but in the heat of the moment, they understood that it was a miraculous outcome.

Despite his nature, Dora had already been proven to be biologically the best healer possible.

Elizabeth looked around, in search of another comrade in need of healing.

"Aurum Serra"

The air cracked in bright yellow, followed by a slow rain of white particles.

The three Holy Knights and Elizabeth looked in disbelief at the boy, a soul stone floating around him and surrounded by shining smaller balls.

On the ground, Angelo breathed his last.

They looked at Dora as if their brains suddenly froze, but when the young boy smirked, everything was clear.
