“Miss Huo, what I need to discuss with you is somewhat confidential. It’s best if no one else knows,” Liu Zhe sighed lightly before speaking.

Huo Hongyan was taken aback for a moment and looked at Qing He, “Qing He, wait at the door.”

“Young miss,” Qing He looked at Liu Zhe with vigilance, stomping her foot in anxiety.

Huo Hongyan understood her concern but trusted Liu Zhe would never offend her.

Qing He reluctantly left.

After she left, Liu Zhe cleared his throat and sat across from Huo Hongyan. They kept a considerate distance from each other, both respecting each other’s personal space. Liu Zhe was clearly mindful.

“Miss Huo, there’s something I need to tell you. My following you today was not incidental; I intended to verify something, and as it turns out, my suspicion is correct.”
