Part-time Boss -
Chapter 37 - 37 37 Mo Fei's Plan
37: Chapter 37 Mo Fei’s Plan 37: Chapter 37 Mo Fei’s Plan Once home, Mo Fei immediately took out a chilled beer from the fridge and took a big gulp.
Feeling the icy liquid coursing through his stomach, his shaking hands finally steadied.
He took a deep breath and sat on the sofa, beginning to replay the events of the evening.
The night had indeed been crazy.
The first thing he considered was the matter with Wang Ziheng,
Was Wang Ziheng scared?
Without a doubt.
Would he call the police?
Probably not, as he hadn’t actually done anything to him, but rather he himself had gotten hurt.
It would be difficult to clarify who was right and who was wrong if it really went to the police station.
But would Wang Ziheng just accept the proposal he had offered?
Mo Fei had his doubts.
The other party seemed to submit on the surface, but it was all under the condition that he had absolute control.
If he let him catch his breath, would he still accept such an agreement?
Even if he were to threaten him with force, it had to be under the premise that he could threaten the other party.
He had succeeded previously purely because of the element of surprise.
The other party probably didn’t expect him to be so crazed – frankly, neither had he.
But now that the other party was on guard, threatening his life wouldn’t be so easy.
All Wang Ziheng had to do was call a few security guards to protect him, then sit down to negotiate with him, and he’d be completely out of options.
If he dared to make a move at that point, whether he succeeded or failed, he was likely to land himself in the station, and a charge of attempted murder would be enough to put him in prison for years.
He sighed, feeling rather pessimistic about what would happen tomorrow.
What made him feel even more desperate was the emergence of the black dragon.
At first, he held a glimmer of hope, thinking the black dragon might be his cheat, a golden finger bestowed upon him by the heavens, but based on the trials of the night, it was not so.
This thing was after his life, his very soul.
Mo Fei shuddered at the recollection of the black dragon throttling his throat; the creature was just too eerie.
Whether it was an illusion or a subconscious manifestation, the feeling of suffocation was undeniably real.
With this thought, he looked around anxiously at the windows and ended up drawing the curtains for a sense of security.
He continued to ponder.
If Wang Ziheng really did pay up according to today’s agreement, it wouldn’t be bad.
He could get rid of the huge nuisance that was Morphis, secure a nest egg, and smoothly part with the company.
But could things really go that smoothly?
Mo Fei dared not bet on it.
(Maybe I should just give them the account, even if it’s not ten million.
Continuing like this, I’ll go mad for sure.)
But Mo Fei immediately dismissed the idea.
It represented half a year of his hard work, the greatest fortune he had amassed in his lifetime; he could not simply give it away.
Even if the black dragon was a calamity, it was his calamity.
Ten million, not a dime less!
But what if Wang Ziheng just refused to pay?
Mo Fei had no choice but to start making the worst plans for tomorrow.
He listed on paper all the dilemmas he faced and the goals he wanted to achieve.
Challenges:
1.
Wang Ziheng’s contract trap.
2.
The Gaming Helmet tied to the account was in the company’s hands; if negotiations really broke down, the company wouldn’t get the game character, and it would be difficult for him to get it as well.
3.
The black dragon’s threat to his life.
Objective:
1.
Recover as much capital as possible, ideally acquiring ten million or even more.
2.
Evade the threat posed by Black Dragon.
3.
Withdraw from Starshine Company smoothly.
Mo Fei scratched his head while looking at the content on the paper; the difficulties were too many, the goals too ambitious, and relying merely on desperation might prove futile.
But what else could he do besides fight desperately?
He was just an ordinary person whose only real skill was probably playing games.
If he could harness the power of Black Dragon in reality, that would be something, but sadly it was merely wishful thinking.
As Mo Fei pondered, he suddenly stood up—”Ancient Black Dragon—Transform!”
As expected, nothing happened.
He laughed at himself mockingly and then sat back down on the sofa.
What a pity, a game is just a game after all…
No, that wasn’t right!
Mo Fei suddenly had an epiphany.
If he was playing those ordinary games from the past, he truly would have had no choice but to leave it to fate, but World of Sky was no ordinary game.
Perhaps he could do this… and that… and then that!
A plan rapidly took shape in his mind.
He took another look at the difficulties and objectives listed on the paper, constantly deducing and planning.
The more he thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.
Yes, just like that, hahaha, damn it, I am a genius!
Mo Fei suddenly saw the light.
Wang Ziheng oh Wang Ziheng, you just want my game account, don’t you?
I could give it to you, no big deal.
I may not be able to beat you at the game of capital, but when it comes to playing World of Sky, that’s my turf!
Morphis oh Morphis, you want to screw me over, right?
I’ll show you who the real boss is.
You want me dead, let’s see who dies first!
Mo Fei made up his mind, picked up his phone, and quickly dialed a phone number.
“Hello, is the shadow there?”
“Yes, what’s up, Dragon?
Have you changed your mind?
Like I told you, the buyer from before has raised their offer.
Dragon Slaying Sword plus Flame Demon’s Staff, three million five hundred thousand for the bundle.
I say it’s a fair deal, time to sell.”
“Five million, firm price.
Tell them to take it or leave it.
If not, I’m listing it for five million in the auction house.
But that’s only one part; I’ve got another task for you.
If you handle it well, you’ll be set for life.
However, this job requires a bit of courage and acting skills.
How about it, confident?”
“Don’t worry, Dragon.
When have you ever been disappointed with my work?
We’ve been collaborating for so long, when have I ever let you down?
Just tell me what you need me to do.”
“The plan’s a bit complicated; I’ll explain the details later.
Tomorrow, come pick me up in your car, I need your help with something.”
The following afternoon, Mo Fei once again arrived at Starshine Company.
As soon as he entered the main gate, he sensed something off about the company atmosphere.
The receptionist spotted him and immediately instructed him to report to the manager’s office.
Along the way, all the familiar hosts were giving him meaningful looks.
Mo Fei did not head to the office but first went to his own streaming room.
As expected, the door was locked—the company had started to guard against him.
Mo Fei wasn’t surprised.
He turned and entered the manager’s office only to discover Wang Ziheng wasn’t there.
The manager sat upright on the sofa at the side, while a man in his thirties with glasses rimmed with gold sat behind the desk, looking very shrewd as if he had seen much of the world.
He was idly twirling a pen, giving Mo Fei a slight nod as he walked in.
Several security guards stood nearby, their stance as though bracing for a conflict, causing Mo Fei to sigh.
Great, it looks like the thing I was most worried about has happened after all.
“Please take a seat,” said the middle-aged man, pushing a document towards Mo Fei and passing over the pen as well.
