"That part’s a little unclear... but that’s where the fourth person comes in."

Everyone’s attention refocused on Zoren.

Zoren did mention four people wearing the same face as Naylani. Those were the triplets: Nathalie, Naylani, and Noel.

Who was the fourth one?

Zoren scratched his temple as he thought of the right words to explain it without sounding like it was coming from his first life.

Because in his first life, what Zoren found out was that... Naylani and Nathalie came head-to-head eventually. Just not long after Naylani gave birth, she received a mail from Nathalie.

If Zoren’s information was correct, that mail contained what Nathalie had done.

After all, during that time, Enzo had to fly out for an overseas trip because of an emergency. But Naylani found out that this emergency was a scheme Nathalie had concocted. Nathalie took the unsuspecting Enzo hostage without the man’s knowledge.

And so, Naylani forced herself to get up and follow her husband.

Along with her were the remaining forces that still supported her. But what Naylani didn’t know was that the moment she left home, another Naylani came home. Just like her, she carried the same face, the same voice, and claimed to be Naylani.

With how identical the triplets were, no one suspected the change.

And that person was... Nathalie.

No word came from the real Naylani after that. Records showed that she eventually died as she stepped into the trap Nathalie had prepared for her. Just like how Noel fell into Nathalie’s trap, the real Naylani made the same mistake.

As for Nathalie, who had pretended to be Naylani, she lived as Naylani Pierson.

Nothing could explain her reason behind it, but with everything that had happened, Zoren concluded it was Nathalie’s way of mocking her sister. It was her way of showing that anything Naylani had, she either took or destroyed.

Besides, Naylani getting pregnant and being with a man intrigued her.

So, for a while, Nathalie celebrated her victory in the Pierson Family home. She enjoyed her days playing Enzo’s wife, testing him on how far he was willing to go for Naylani, and then neglecting Naylani’s son.

When Nathalie finally had enough and got bored with Enzo’s suffocating affection, she let someone else take over her position. She did so because she didn’t want more trouble if she just disappeared. She could’ve made it look like she eloped with another man, but Nathalie didn’t want to deal with the aftermath.

After all, during her time as Naylani Pierson, she had to admit Enzo Pierson was quite intuitive for his own good. He almost found her out multiple times, and if not for his love for Naylani, he would’ve uncovered the truth.

He was quite stubborn too, and if Nathalie made it look like she eloped with another man, Enzo would’ve searched for her to the ends of the world just to ask her why.

So, as twisted as Nathalie was, she thought of an answer to stop that.

Instead of just leaving, she put a double in her place — someone she had chosen a long time ago to undergo facial restructuring to look like them. Someone she had trained for various reasons.

And just like that, Nathalie disappeared without anyone knowing—because there was a new Naylani Pierson she had placed in that home.

A Naylani Pierson whose only job was to keep Enzo Pierson from finding out the real Naylani was gone. To keep him from poking his nose where it didn’t belong, and to keep his fragile little world intact.

Again, everyone bore a look of disbelief at how twisted this was. But somehow, it made sense. At least, for Penny, who had seen a family photo of her husband with his parents, and that portrait in the Pierson Castle.

It explained why Naylani Pierson, in that family photo, looked slightly different from Enzo’s painting. One could undergo full facial restructuring surgery, but one could never change the look in their eyes. And in Enzo’s painting, there was something in Naylani’s eyes that the family photo didn’t carry.

"And this fake Naylani... the one who stabbed— I mean, that woman..." Dean trailed off, his face twisting through different reactions at once. "...is this impostor all along?"

"Correct," Zoren nodded. "And this Naylani is also Jonathan’s mother."

"WHAT?!" Dean gasped, jumping from his seat as he looked at Zoren. "What did you say? That woman — how?!"

"Nathalie Zorken had this proxy even before she took over Naylani’s life," explained Zoren. "Although I didn’t get confirmation, from what I heard, it seemed Nathalie was infertile. And since she won that long war against her sister, she knew having an heir would become a problem in the future."

He paused while everyone already seemed to have guessed what that meant.

"So, even before that problem arose, she had this proxy ready?" Atlas muttered. "Interesting. By doing this, people would see her pregnant. I mean, even if she had a partner—a husband—if this proxy slept with her husband and got pregnant, he wouldn’t know."

"Yes." Zoren nodded. "But the problem is, this proxy got pregnant even before that."

"Oh." Hugo pounded his fist against his palm. "Is that how Jonathan ended up in that orphanage?"

"Huh?" Dean furrowed his brows.

"Most likely, yes," Zoren nodded. "It was part of their deal. The fake Naylani might be an impostor, but she’s also just as cunning. She knew Nathalie needed her, and so she agreed to take Naylani’s role and kept her child close to her."

"So they threw Jonathan in that orphanage, huh?" Penny mumbled, nodding to herself. "Now that I think about it, there were still many sponsors for that orphanage that we’re still investigating. Naylani is probably one of them."

"I’m still confused..." Dean trailed off when Finn spoke.

"In other words, Jonathan was raised in that orphanage before he was adopted by this fake family to give him a better life," Finn explained. "And since the fake Naylani is quite bold for her own good, I believe that’s the reason she’s been manipulating the Pierson Family—to eventually hand it over to her son."

Deep lines appeared between Dean’s brows as he asked, "Finn, what are you talking about? The fake Naylani’s been dead for a long time. She can’t just manipulate the Pierson Family in death."

And with that, Finn bit his tongue and mentally winced.

He had slipped up.
