By noon, the two of them went to the cafeteria together, Jiang Keke pouting, her face full of "unhappiness."

"Keke, I really didn’t mean to hide it from you. I just didn’t want you to worry about me." An Yin reached out and held Jiang Keke’s wrist, speaking soothingly.

Jiang Keke stopped in her tracks, looking at her seriously, "Are you short on money?"

Jiang Keke connected the dots, thinking about how Aunt An had surgery not long ago and was hospitalized for quite a while, surely costing a lot of money. Perhaps An Yin wanted to help ease her family’s burden!

She blamed herself for being so caught up in dating Bao Cheng that she hadn’t cared enough about her friend, thinking about this made Jiang Keke feel both ashamed and distressed.

An Yin is her most important friend! And she didn’t even know during her friend’s toughest times.

"No." An Yin lowered her head, softly responding with one word.

In her heart, Bao Cheng would do anything for her, so surely he’d help with such a small favor.

"No need." An Yin hurriedly shook her head upon hearing Keke’s words, putting on a stubborn look, "Keke, I appreciate your kindness, but I just want to earn money through my own efforts."

"Alright then!" Jiang Keke wanted to persuade her further, but after seeing her determined look, Jiang Keke didn’t want to force her, so she took a step back, "But if you really have any difficulties, you must tell me."

"Okay." An Yin nodded happily at her words.

She knew that Keke understood her!

"There’s one more thing..." Jiang Keke spoke up again, "Are you going to work with Shi Qing every day?"

When they arrived at the cafeteria to get their food, Jiang Keke saw that An Yin was only getting vegetarian dishes. She took note silently and then picked all meat dishes.

After finding a seat and settling down.

Jiang Keke picked up a chicken drumstick and placed it on An Yin’s plate, followed by shrimp, sweet and sour ribs, and steamed pork.

An Yin looked at the mountain of food in her bowl, staring blankly at Jiang Keke.

"Keke, you..."

"Took too much, can’t finish it." Jiang Keke declared boldly, giving her no chance to refuse.

An Yin knew Jiang Keke’s straightforward nature. Just now, she had already refused her goodwill; if she returned the food now, without thinking, An Yin knew she would definitely get angry.

"Thank you!" An Yin said, her voice helpless yet sincere.

"Eat up." Jiang Keke, seeing she didn’t resist, softened her tone a little.

In the midst of eating, Jiang Keke answered a phone call.

An Yin quietly ate her meal on the side, noticing as she looked up that Jiang Keke’s frown grew deeper.

No need to guess, it must be Bao Cheng on the other end of the line.

An Yin didn’t disturb and continued eating silently.
