Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother
Chapter 69: What’s the Fuss About?

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: What’s the Fuss About?

"Hello, seniors!" An Yin greeted hurriedly.

"Hello, campus beauty!"

The two guys said in unison, needing no introduction from Su Yifeng. At T University, especially among the boys, who wouldn’t recognize the stunning beauty—An Yin?

Hearing this, An Yin blushed and continued to focus on her food.

Su Yifeng glared at the two classmates, clearly signaling them to leave: Go, get lost, don’t interrupt me trying to woo this girl!

Among guys, there’s a natural understanding, especially when it comes to pursuing girls. Who wouldn’t want to help a brother out?

After they left, Su Yifeng finally breathed a sigh of relief, looking at An Yin who was eating with her head down, "Sorry, they disturbed you."

"It’s fine." An Yin said nonchalantly, glancing up to see that his food was untouched, she couldn’t help but ask, "You’re not eating? Your food’s going to get cold."

Seeing that she wasn’t bothered by what just happened, Su Yifeng felt his tense heart relax gradually, "I’ll eat now."

Afterwards, the two ate in silence.

A few minutes later, they walked out of the cafeteria together.

"What do you plan to do today?" Su Yifeng’s eyes lingered on her as he asked leisurely.

"Haven’t decided yet." An Yin shook her head.

"I have an idea, want to hear it?" Hearing her words made Su Yifeng’s eyes light up, and he immediately spoke.

An Yin was taken aback.

How come it feels like he always has some fun ideas?

"Go ahead." Anyway, since she was bored and seeing his eager expression, An Yin was a little curious about what he was going to say next.

"Not far from the city center, there’s an ancient alley. It’s said there are all sorts of accessories and snacks there, but that’s not all. Many buildings in that alley are said to be leftover from the Republic of China era and are very well-preserved. A lot of people go there daily to take photos. Do you want to check it out?"

When An Yin heard "accessories and snacks," she wasn’t very interested.

But as the conversation continued, her eyes gradually widened, with a trace of consideration appearing in her gaze.

"What’s the alley called?" An Yin asked casually.

"Jianjia Alley!" Su Yifeng responded with his head down, his eyes avoiding hers.

When those three words were uttered, An Yin felt her heart pounding strongly. Though it was her first time hearing them, why did it feel so familiar?

It’s like she’s really seen those three words somewhere!

An Yin shook her head, trying to dismiss such unrealistic thoughts.

"Don’t want to go?" Su Yifeng saw her shake her head and thought she didn’t want to go.

He shouldn’t have mentioned the name of that alley. An Yin might misunderstand him, especially since she’s already sensitive about his confession before. Now, his impression in her mind might have dropped again.

Thinking of this, Su Yifeng felt conflicted inside!

"It’s not that." An Yin didn’t expect that just nodding would lead to a misunderstanding.

"Then...shall we go together?" Su Yifeng’s eager heart was reignited.

An Yin seriously thought about it, "Maybe another time." She had a part-time job tonight and didn’t want to doze off during it later. She decided to read for a bit and then take a nap.

"Okay." Su Yifeng didn’t want to push her.

The afternoon sun was dazzling, making it feel scorching as they walked.

Su Yifeng was only wearing a shirt and trousers, looking very refreshing.

An Yin had a cold constitution, so even if it was slightly warm, she habitually wore a thin jacket. Even so, her face showed no trace of sweat.

"Are you heading back to the dorm now?"

Walking under the shade of the trees, Su Yifeng intentionally slowed his pace.

As long as he could spend more time with her, life felt wonderful to him!

"Yeah, going to read a bit." An Yin confessed honestly.

"Don’t overwork yourself." Su Yifeng naturally wanted to show her some care.

Hearing his words left An Yin a bit stunned, then thinking that he was just showing ordinary concern, she replied, "Okay, you too."

An Yin reciprocated politely.

Su Yifeng, "..."

Su Yifeng could see through her subtle sense of detachment from within.

Even so, he would wait... Whenever she’s ready to accept a relationship, he will be there for her!

After saying goodbye to Su Yifeng, An Yin returned to the dorm.

To her surprise, she saw Shi Qing.

Shi Qing was facing away, bent over the desk writing something. An Yin approached and softly called, "Shi Qing."

"Hmm."

Shi Qing responded coldly without turning her head, her tone a bit impatient.

An Yin was momentarily at a loss, and as she headed to her desk, she sneaked a few glances at her.

An Yin, with sharp eyes, noticed a red mark on Shi Qing’s forehead. Stepping with urgency, she approached Shi Qing, "Shi Qing, is your face injured?"

An Yin bent down and took a closer look.

The sight shocked her.

There were two red swollen scratches on Shi Qing’s forehead, about as long as a finger, and not only that, the right cheek...

"It’s nothing." Shi Qing’s face darkened as she looked at An Yin coming closer.

"How can it be nothing? I have some ointment for swelling, let’s apply a bit." An Yin said while looking for the medicine.

"There’s really no need." Shi Qing sighed, turning around to see An Yin rummaging for the medicine, and she felt speechless.

Such small injuries would heal in a few days; there’s no need to make a fuss! Moreover, she had many such marks on her back... Shi Qing didn’t want to tell An Yin!

"No way, my mom says when you’re away from home, even slight injuries should be taken seriously!" An Yin said with certainty, pride evident in her demeanor when mentioning her mom.

In contrast, upon hearing the word "mom," Shi Qing’s face turned gloomy, her gaze lifeless.

At that moment, Shi Qing fully realized: Apparently, there’s a difference between "mom" and "mom"!

When An Yin found the medicine, she was already sweating a bit.

She used a cotton swab to apply the ointment, moving close to Shi Qing, "Take off your glasses, let me help you apply it."

Watching the sweat on An Yin’s forehead, Shi Qing’s gaze paused, and she couldn’t bring herself to refuse, "It’s okay, just apply it directly."

Shi Qing sat with her head slightly up, wearing a pair of black-framed glasses that seemed burdensome for applying medicine.

An Yin didn’t know why she resisted removing her glasses, and she didn’t ask further, bending down carefully to apply the ointment to those red marks...

The injury seemed to be from a fingernail scratch, and the person had used a lot of force.

How could someone scratch another’s face like that? An Yin thought angrily.

With An Yin’s face so close, Shi Qing couldn’t help but see her slightly puffed-up cheek like she was angered by something, and Shi Qing blurted out, "What are you upset about?"
