Chapter 200: Chapter 200: Jealousy

Su Yifeng: [An Yin, you are the first girl I’ve liked, and perhaps that’s why the feeling is so unforgettable. Even though I know you don’t like me, and I don’t want to cause you any trouble, I just can’t forget you.]

An Yin looked at the long message he sent, slowed her pace, and headed towards a quieter path. After a few steps, she seemed to sense something, slowly turned around, and saw Su Yifeng standing not far away, staring intensely at her.

Their eyes met.

An Yin glanced around and noticed several classmates looking in their direction. She lowered her head uneasily and sent a message to him.

An Yin: [I have to rush to class. Can we talk after school today, okay?]

Su Yifeng: [Okay!]

His reply came quickly. An Yin received it, quickened her steps, and ran towards the teaching building, without looking back at him.

Back in the classroom, An Yin found Jiang Keke had returned to her seat, all her previous frustration vanished; she quickly stepped forward.

"Keke!"

"Hmph." Jiang Keke feigned anger and gave An Yin a sidelong glance, then pretended to be mad and said, "Went to play with Shi Qing..."

"Pfft..." An Yin covered her mouth and laughed, her radiant face blossoming like a flower, attracting many male classmates’ attention. Then, she said, "You look just like you’re jealous."

"Nonsense." Jiang Keke denied flatly.

An Yin smiled and sat beside Jiang Keke.

At this moment, Jiang Keke noticed An Yin’s lips, "Why are your lips swollen?" If she didn’t know An Yin didn’t have a boyfriend, she would have thought someone bit them.

An Yin touched her lips; she didn’t understand how she got hurt. She woke up like this, so not to worry Jiang Keke, she casually said, "I accidentally bumped it."

An Yin was always somewhat absent-minded, and getting minor injuries wasn’t unusual. Jiang Keke muttered, "You’re really clumsy, last time you hit your head, and now you hurt your mouth."

An Yin lowered her head guiltily.

Then, the class bell rang, and any previous unpleasantness was as if it hadn’t happened, and they returned to being as close as ever.

During breaks, Jiang Keke would talk about Bao Cheng, and An Yin listened quietly, not daring to express any opinions. Ever since she saw Bao Cheng cheating, she felt repelled by him. If he weren’t Keke’s boyfriend, An Yin really didn’t want anything to do with him.

Jiang Keke noticed that An Yin seemed disinterested whenever Bao Cheng was mentioned. Her smile froze, and she thought to herself that ever since she moved out of the dorm, their friendship seemed to be slowly fading.

Especially lately, An Yin seemed to be getting closer to Shi Qing.

Jiang Keke pulled up a smile, trying to appear calm, "Yinyin, I’ve decided to move back to the dormitory!"

That’s a decision Jiang Keke just made.

She couldn’t bear her best friend getting so close to Shi Qing!

"Really?" An Yin was overjoyed.

Seeing An Yin’s expression, Jiang Keke felt pleased, "Of course, would I lie to you?"

An Yin never suspected that the reason Jiang Keke was moving back was to stop her from getting close to Shi Qing.

After a full day of classes, Jiang Keke continued rehearsing for the New Year’s program.

An Yin went to the cafeteria for dinner and returned to the dorm.

After showering, she picked up her phone, noticed a missed call, and remembered what she had said to Su Yifeng in the morning.

She called back, put her phone on the desk, and turned on the speaker mode.

The call connected quickly.

"An Yin!"

Su Yifeng’s voice sounded a bit urgent.

An Yin was gently drying her wet hair and felt a bit uneasy hearing her name called.

"Senior," she replied.

"The messages I sent you this morning were all heartfelt, An Yin. The last thing I want is to annoy you or cause you any trouble. I stood there today just wanting to silently catch a glimpse of you."

He spoke quickly, clearly afraid that An Yin might hang up on him at any moment.

An Yin’s hand paused; listening to Su Yifeng’s sincere words, a wave of guilt washed over her because she couldn’t reciprocate his feelings.

"An Yin, are you listening?"

His voice trembled a little.

"Yes," An Yin murmured.

She had never liked anyone and didn’t understand what it felt like to love someone. But she had seen people in love, like her good friend, Jiang Keke!

From Jiang Keke, An Yin saw that loving someone is passionate and blind!

So, is that how Su Yifeng feels about her too?

An Yin didn’t know.

But she hoped Su Yifeng could let go because one-sided affection is destined to be a tragedy.

"Can you come out for a bit?" Su Yifeng’s voice low with a hint of pleading.

Hearing this, An Yin hesitated.

Su Yifeng’s voice came again, "I’m sorry, I..." He laughed at himself mockingly.

Before he could finish, An Yin seemed to have made a decision, "Okay, let’s meet by the school track!"

"Okay!"

After hanging up, An Yin went to the restroom to blow-dry her hair, changed her clothes, and left with her hair down.

As soon as she went downstairs, a chilly breeze hit her, and she couldn’t help but shiver a little.

She hadn’t seen Su Yifeng in a while, and the thought of meeting him made her inexplicably nervous, especially after feeling his strong affection, making a meeting only more awkward. Thinking about how she had agreed to meet without much thought, An Yin suddenly felt a tinge of regret.

Braving the cold wind, she quickly reached the track and immediately saw Su Yifeng.

At half-past six in the evening, all the school lights were on. Under the bright white light, many boys were gathered on the field playing basketball, with cheering girls next to them, and quite a number of students surrounded the track.

When Su Yifeng saw An Yin’s figure, he started to run towards her. Standing before her, his breath was quick, but his eyes remained fixed on An Yin standing in front of him.

"You’re here!" His tone was especially gentle, always with a smile on his face.

An Yin nodded and turned her gaze to the boys on the field playing basketball, jumping and running after each other. She moved her steps towards the edge of the track.

Su Yifeng closely followed behind her, his peripheral vision filled with her. Seeing her slightly swollen lips and a bit of chapped skin, his eyes wavered for a moment as he suppressed the urge to question.

"Do you like watching basketball?" Su Yifeng asked as he noticed her engrossed in watching the game.

"Not really." An Yin answered truthfully.

Ever since she was young, her poor health meant her mother wouldn’t allow her to participate in intense sports. Despite having never tried those sports, she felt somewhat eager. So whenever she saw others fully engaged in a game, her heart would also feel a surge of excitement.
