Chapter 134: Out of Control
Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Out of Control
When this absurd idea emerged in Bao Cheng’s mind, he quickly turned his head to look out the car window. The scenery outside was something Bao Cheng had no time to appreciate, as his mind was a tangled mess. An Yin pretending to be his "girlfriend" was always a hidden danger!
The driver in the driver’s seat, realizing there was another person in the back, hesitated for a moment before finally speaking up, "Mr. Bao, should we head straight to the company?"
If Bao Shaojin was the only person in the car, the driver would definitely drive straight to the company without a word.
"Could we stop at the supermarket up front?" Bao Cheng heard the driver and cautiously glanced at his cousin beside him, seeing that the other looked weary and unmoved, and finally, he relaxed his anxious heart.
"Okay." The driver replied respectfully.
Bao Cheng noticed that the driver in the front seat was not Assistant Lin, who often followed his cousin. This driver was someone he had never seen before, just a driver, so he didn’t have much interest in knowing more.
As they approached the supermarket, the driver smoothly parked the car.
Before getting out of the car, Bao Cheng initially wanted to say goodbye to his cousin but seeing him leaning back against the seat with eyes slightly closed, seemingly asleep, the words were swallowed back.
The driver got out and helped Bao Cheng open the car door.
Before getting off, Bao Cheng said to the driver, "I’ll be back soon." This was to remind the driver not to drive off.
The driver nodded and then closed the backseat door, isolating Bao Shaojin in a private space.
The driver had not been on the job long, and Assistant Lin had specially instructed that Mr. Bao valued privacy and did not like dealing with strangers. Therefore, as a driver, he should have discretion, or else he would be replaced sooner or later.
Bao Shaojin wasn’t someone with great patience, and wasting time on Bao Cheng was even more unsatisfying for him.
At some point, his deep eyes opened, his hand occasionally tapping the armrest beside him, with a deep undercurrent visible in his gaze.
In less than five minutes, Bao Cheng practically jogged out of the supermarket. When the driver saw him coming, he opened the car door, and Bao Cheng hunched himself in to sit down in a hurried manner, forming a stark contrast with the dignified and aloof person beside him.
The driver had just caught a quick glimpse of the shopping bag Bao Cheng was carrying, his expression stiffened briefly, but he quickly returned to normal.
"Brother, you’re awake!"
Bao Cheng saw the other sitting casually, his sharp eyes seemed to pierce through a person, scanning him, making Bao Cheng feel panicked. Even though he hadn’t done anything, he inexplicably felt a compelling presence.
Bao Shaojin did not plan on exchanging pleasantries with him, merely talking about something else, "Having ambition in business is good, but don’t overreach yourself. Do well with the club, and as for the rest, proceed within your means."
These words seemed conversational, but the deeper meaning made Bao Cheng shiver all over.
Right now, he and a few friends plan to start a new company. Fewer than five people know about it, all of whom are close friends he trusts implicitly. How could his cousin know? This kind of conversation at a disadvantage shocked Bao Cheng to his core. He didn’t even have room to retort, after all, his cousin in front of him was the formidable Bao Shaojin feared throughout the business world!
Bao Shaojin, seeing the other silent, let his dark eyes drop. His gaze inadvertently landed on the shopping bag in Bao Cheng’s hand. The white transparent bag made it clear what was inside.
What Bao Cheng bought was easy to recognize, not only that, but he also bought several boxes. At a glance, the contents seemed rather conspicuous.
Condoms!
And he bought so many!
All of Bao Cheng’s thoughts were on his cousin’s veiled reprimand just now and didn’t notice the sudden grim expression on the other’s face.
"Stop the car!" Bao Shaojin’s voice was icy.
The driver received the order and immediately stopped by the side, then turned around, "Mr. Bao, is there anything wrong?"
With Bao Shaojin suddenly speaking to stop the car, Bao Cheng was also on edge.
"You, get out!" Bao Shaojin looked sinisterly at Bao Cheng, exuding a cold, aloof aura.
The driver remained silent.
Seeing the other’s sharp eyes land on him, Bao Cheng felt utterly desolate inside. Recalling the implicit warning in his cousin’s words earlier, he couldn’t help but think sarcastically: Even if his cousin didn’t think much of his new company’s potential, there was no reason to be this upset! Could it be because he was planning to ask the old lady for a loan? But he hadn’t mentioned it to the old lady yet, had he?
What exactly had he done to annoy his cousin? Bao Cheng was immensely troubled but could only obediently get out of the car.
Despite his doubts, he dared not anger the man in front of him. Although this person was his cousin and only a few years older than him, Bao Cheng felt genuinely afraid from the bottom of his heart!
After Bao Cheng got out of the car, it quickly sped away, leaving him standing at the side of the road, bewildered.
Inside the car, the driver gripped the steering wheel tightly. From the moment Mr. Bao asked his cousin to leave, the driver clearly felt the atmosphere in the car turn eerie.
In the back seat, Bao Shaojin appeared isolated as he stared out the window. His rugged face seemed to have a layer of melancholy. Most notably, his right hand clenched tightly into a fist, with veins bulging on the back of his hand. The next second, a drop of bright red blood fell onto the carpet, then another, and another...
His emotions rarely got out of control.
The few times it happened, it was always because of that certain girl.
And that certain girl happened to be Bao Cheng’s girlfriend.
The items in Bao Cheng’s hand served as a reminder that the girl is already part of Bao Cheng’s life. Every time he considered this fact, Bao Shaojin felt that inexplicable surge within him grow more fervent as if trying to burst through his chest.

An Yin has been living relatively relaxed lately, especially after repaying Bao Shaojin’s money, no longer needing to worry about financial troubles.
She didn’t quit her part-time jobs either. Thinking about how Mrs. An’s health wasn’t great, and with little savings at home, An Yin felt she needed to grow up and gradually start sharing the family responsibilities with her mom.
Thinking of Mrs. An, An Yin suddenly remembered she hadn’t been home in a few weeks. This week, she wanted to take a day off from Wen Mei and go home to visit Mrs. An!
With this thought in mind, during her studies, An Yin would often unconsciously think about it.
After school that day, An Yin began packing her luggage.
Shi Qing walked into the dormitory, seeing the suitcase placed in the center, while An Yin busied herself in front of the wardrobe. Normally not fond of initiating conversations, she hesitated and asked, "What are you doing?"
An Yin was folding her clothes. After winter came, she had neatly organized and packed away all her thin clothes in the suitcase, intending to take them home after school the next day. Upon hearing a voice suddenly from behind, the timid An Yin was startled, her neatly folded clothes instantly dropping to the floor.
