Chapter 162: Meeting

"So you can do that?" Azelis’s eyes widened. "That...that’s crazy."

[Chuthulos: However, that is also a bit risky. I suggest you only do that once per day. More than that, and you might attract unwarranted attention because you practically broke the law of this world.]

"Once a day? Fine by me," John said with a chuckle. "More than enough to douse the courage of foolish people."

"Indeed." Azelis nodded as her eyes flickered and she looked around. "The other Sovereign-rank Monsters are leaking clear fear. None of them are daring to even approach us."

"Good for us. Let’s empty this special dimensional island. I am already seeing a lot of names popping up as I am looking." John grinned. "But our ultimate goal is finding a spirit phenomenon and getting my fourth pet monster."

...

"It’s been seven days and Mr. Sirius is nowhere to be seen," Yalentra said with a frown. "The competition for Gold-rank that his apprentice wanted to participate in is also today."

"He should have appeared here if he wanted to."

"I don’t think he is leaving his apprentice alone outside anymore, given what he did."

"Yeah, I can see those fellows taking him as a hostage, and it’s clear that someone like John is a very rare find."

"Space and Gravity affinity...not to mention his organization requires prodigious people with space mastery to become members."

Suddenly, Yalentra’s eyes flickered as she stood up. "Let’s go. The rest of the powerhouses just entered the world. It’s going to be one hell of a meeting."

The powerhouses of the Duraian family headed towards the Alliance Tower, which was built in the city.

From the higher-ranked world, a large number of Sovereign-rank powerhouses entered.

Not just in Nexus City, but also in Brelial City.

In the Nexus city, each of the eleven forces sent forty-five to fifty Sovereign-rank powerhouses, with at least ten of them being at peak and having one Legendary-rank Monster as their Pets.

Aside from that, over a hundred Emperor-rank also came from each force. After all, Emperor-rank and lower-ranked Tamers were still in the higher-ranked world, and a lot of them, because the population gives birth to more population and they don’t magically give birth to Sovereign-rank kids, unlike Monsters, who give birth to offspring which are only one rank below the parents.

But the Sovereign-rank and Emperor-rank powerhouses were not the only ones who appeared in the Nexus City and Brelial City.

Demons also arrived.

Ten demons in each city, all of them at Sovereign-rank.

But none of the human Tamers felt they could go against them and emerge victorious.

In the Alliance Tower’s meeting hall, the peak Sovereign-rank Tamers who descended and the Sovereign-rank Tamers who were originally heading the branches here sat.

All eleven forces were gathered in the hall, as well as ten demons, headed by a lascivious female demon with two curvy horns and dark pink skin, her figure thick where it had to be.

Sovitra Meity, the head of one of the ten Royal Demon clans—the Meity Clan.

"So, where is that fellow? The one you all call Mr. Sirius?" Sovitra asked, her question making everyone downcast.

"He didn’t make an appearance after he appeared in Brelial city," Ron, the leader of Razorshade Syndicate, answered.

"Humph, you four didn’t help us when it was needed to take him down." The peak Sovereign Tamer of Spiritveil Sect, an old man with immense strength, and having two Legendary-rank Pet Monsters snorted coldly.

"Are you foolish, baldy?" A lady wearing a lotus-patterned pink kimono, who was a city-toppling beauty with silky black hair, retorted indifferently with a hint of disdain.

"If we also participated in your stupid plan, our Tamers would also be gone now like yours." Ouroboros Hall’s Sovereign Tamer, a handsome red-haired fellow, said with a scoff.

"If you four used your artifacts as well, especially the one that the Dreamforged Guild had that can distort ownership of space in an area, we might have succeeded."

"Enough," Sovitra said with a cold snort. "We are not here to see you quarrel."

"Miss Sovitra, you must help us." Lockham family’s peak Sovereign-rank Tamer who just descended requested.

The pressing thing was that the Lockham family’s head and his son had a pretty solid background.

Loren’s father who had ascended years ago was a Mythical-rank Tamer, and though he was not at the peak of Mythical-rank, he was one of the future pillars of the Lockham family as a rather talented fellow, and he was looking forward to his son and grandson coming up.

But the news of Loren and his father Leon, getting swept away by Mr. Sirius sent him into a rage as Rakin lost his father and grandfather in one go.

But Sovitra didn’t take that request’s tone lightly.

"Must help you? Do you think we are your slaves?" Sovitra narrowed her eyes as she looked at him.

"T-That’s not what I meant. I mean, please help us. Only you can deal with Mr. Sirius."

Sovitra raised her eyebrows. "Why should we help you when we can get help from this Mr. Sirius against this calamity? If I remember correctly, two of your fellows clearly stated Mr. Sirius was going to help with the calamity."

The eyes of peak Sovereign-rank powerhouses belonging to the seven forces glinted coldly as they looked at this world’s Sovereign-rank leaders.

Ron of Razorshade, Toanas Duraian, Hall Master Varek, and Lady Virana of Dreamforged Guild.

After all, this meant they were siding with Mr. Sirius, which in turn meant they were going against the alliance’s rule.

But unafraid, Ron said indifferently, "I only relayed Mr. Sirius’ statement. Apologize for being rude, but you were foolish to go against someone whose depths you didn’t know. We could just have business with him as usual and take his help against the calamity as he was clearly willing to."

"That’s right," Virana also said without fear.

Indeed. Ron and Virana told Sovitra about that.

"See? These two fellows are smart, and so are the other two who didn’t go with the plan you seven made," Sovitra said with a snort.

The faces of the seven forces’ Tamers became ashen.

"So, how are you going to deal with Mr. Sirius?"

Before Sovitra could answer, a person barged into the meeting hall and shouted.

"Mr. Sirius appeared in Breliel City! Fresh news from our spy using a long-distance comm card!"
