Chapter 144: Super Tamer Sports (2/2)
"Fuck, what’s going on?!"
"Kenil, tell us already."
"Is that Space?! No way, right?"
"Yeah. He has Space and Gravity mastery."

As soon as John finished stage 8 after ten seconds under everyone’s dumbfounded eyes, he used Soul Energy with Pymon, going all out.
Pymon was no longer Thunderblitz Tempest Falcon at Gold-rank.
He was Skyrend Reaver Tyrant Roc, a monster with Legendary-rank potential, having super powerful skills with high scaling!
Of course, Pymon only had three skills for now in this new form, one of which was enough for John to increase his dodge prowess significantly.
Stage 9 wasn’t easy. The number of obstacles increased to eight per second, with four shooting with a minor difference of milliseconds between them, and the other four shooting at John by tracing his movement.
Suddenly, everyone saw John vanishing right as an obstacle was about to hit, before he appeared three meters to the side with a flicker of golden sparks around him.
Skyrend Flow—Pymon’s new movement-type skill that was faster and better than the previous Tempest Streak!
As John dodged with skill, a half-meter-sized orb shot at him, but John was pulled back four meters away before he kicked off his feet and jumped up, dodging two obstacles. But lo and behold, his feet were planted on the ground, dug, thin, and stretched, so he instantly shot down a moment later, dodging the third and fourth obstacles that targeted his upper body.
Everyone was transfixed with their mouths agape as John successfully reached Stage 10, something that none of the watching had completed.
In the leaderboard, only six people have successfully completed Stage 10, and three out of those six were Sovereign-rank leaders at present, and the other three were Emperor-rank Tamers.
[ Jibril: Sister Azelis, have you challenged this? ]
[ Azelis: Yes, I did. I reached Stage 10, but couldn’t last a full ten seconds in it, though I wasn’t at the peak of Gold-rank and I hadn’t acquired some of the masteries yet. I got stronger than my peers in King-rank and surpassed them in Emperor-rank.]
[ Jibril: I see...But I guess John is putting his name in the Hall of Fame for this Speed Dodge. ]
[ Azelis: Yep. ]
Three seconds later, John survived the full ten seconds of Stage 10, successfully completing the Speed Dodge challenge!
An announcement rang throughout the whole building.
[ A seventh Gold-rank Tamer has successfully completed Stage 10 of the Speed Dodge challenge. ]
[Congratulations, John Wicked.]
John sat down while breathing heavily as the last five seconds were nerve-wracking. He was entirely wet from sweat, but it felt good to exert himself to this extent.
The other people watching him snapped out as they heard the announcement, shocked.
"Fuck."
John stood up after a few seconds and emerged from the entrance of the ground.
"So am I getting something for completing Stage 10?" John asked as he blinked, looking at Kenil and others.
"Y-Yeah. You’ll get 100,000 Gold Essence Coins."
John’s eyes twinkled. "Awesome. Let’s go get it."
"John, there are two more challenges here. Do you want to finish them first?" Reena asked with a smile.
[ Jibril: Her eyes when looking at you, have slightly changed...]
[ Azelis: Haha, that’s bound to happen. ]
[ Jibril: (~_~) True, It’s similar to what happened in the sect’s competition.]
...
Aside from the Speed Dodge challenge, the other two challenges were Target Strike and Monster Hunt.
In Target Strike, the Tamers were allowed to use Essence Coins to recover their energy, unlike in the Speed Dodge.
The challenge was similar to Speed Dodge where a single stage lasted for ten seconds and during the ten seconds, the Tamer must strike all targets that appear around them with a [ ◎ ] on them in a variety of shapes, but their size being palm-sized.
If a Tamer missed a single [ ◎ ] or mistakenly hit a target with [ X ] on it, it would be over.
John laughed when he saw this challenge.
Taking out his pistol and creating a temporary second pistol for dual wielding as he had one more slot for Soul Technique after reaching Gold rank, John entered the ground of the Target Strike challenge.
Boom.
100 seconds later, he emerged with another building-wide announcement.
"..."

"..."
To those watching, John made it look too easy!
But all of them had tried this challenge and knew it wasn’t easy.
Alas, John, using his Space and Gravity to support his bullets, not to mention his flexible arms that whipped around while shooting, as he struck all targets in Stage 10 despite a very small window of 2 seconds to hit 10 Targets with 3 dummy ones among them!
The most difficult last two seconds of Stage 10, where almost everyone has failed except for the 9 people in the Hall of Fame, looked almost easy for John.
And he became the 10th person in the Hall of Fame for this challenge.
Afterward, John went to participate in the Monster Hunt challenge.
This challenge was rather simple. On the ground, a Tamer would have 10 seconds to kill an early-stage Gold-rank Monster in Stage 1.
Two early-stage Gold-rank Monsters in Stage 2.
Three early-stage Gold-rank Monsters in Stage 3.
One Mid-stage Gold-rank Monster in Stage 4.
Two Mid-stage Gold-rank Monsters in Stage 5.
Three Mid-stage Gold-rank Monsters in Stage 6.
One peak-stage Gold-rank Monster in Stage 7.
Two peak-stage gold-rank Monsters in Stage 8.
Three in Stage 9.
And five in Stage 10.
Essence Coins were allowed to be used for recovery, but if a Tamer failed to kill all monsters in ten seconds in a stage, it would be over.
Peak-stage Gold-rank Monsters had physical stats of 250 and Soul power of 1000.
The only way John could match that and even become stronger was by using Soul Synergy with Rexion, who had now become a full-fledged dragon in Gold-rank—Runelord Ignilux Dragon!
Rexion’s Ignisweave Runelord Armor skill was an evolved, stronger version of Seardawn Blood Armor, increasing his stats to 310.
His own 110 + Rexion’s 100 + 100 bonus from Ignus weave Runelord Armor, reaching a total of 310!
And this time, John showed the true power of his guns as he released exotic bullets that dealt devastating damage, which were further empowered by his Space and Gravity as he made them faster and spun them stronger.
Not to mention that since his Blood turned into Bloodscript, his Blood Allow Sculpture became stronger, meaning his guns and bullets were stronger!
Bloodscript adopted Metal as that was Bloodscript’s specialty—increasing its own characteristic with influence from other attributes, increasing the offense by a whole notch higher.
Though he only used two types of bullets as he only needed offense-type attacks in this challenge, those watching were still dumbstruck at the power John displayed despite only being early-stage Gold-rank.
"Were guns always this powerful?"
"No. Definitly not. And they are not Spirit Items, but his soul technique."
"Ah, yes. I forgot we aren’t allowed to use items in this challenge."
"So his Soul Technique is creation-type? But those are very difficult..."
"His Soul technique is rather powerful, and I suppose he has great proficiency in it."
"Blood and Metal attributed Soul Technique.
"Blood, Metal, Gravity, and Space..."
"Oh yeah," Kenil suddenly exclaimed and smiled. "Did I tell you he is sixteen years old?"
"..."
"..."
"..."
John emerged from the ground and cracked his neck before grinning at the group. "Alright, let’s get the 300,000 Gold Essence Coins now."
