Chapter 68: Settling Scores with Her
Emma Hart continued to shake her head relentlessly. The man gripped her jaw fiercely, his actions devoid of any tenderness or mercy. With a cold, stern voice, he commanded, "Speak!"
Silent and crouched on the ground, Emma remained unyielding.
Damian Sterling forcefully lifted her up, prying open her tightly shut eyes. "Look at me! Your Ethan Turner is putting on a strip show," he sneered mockingly.
Against her will, Emma’s eyes flew open.
In the room, aside from a wealthy woman, two robust men were restraining Ethan Turner.
The woman, embodying the greed of a ravenous man, was eagerly stripping Ethan of his clothes, evidently relishing every moment.
Ethan’s gaze, filled with shock and disbelief, met Emma’s.
It was more than she could bear. Even if they were not connected, the sight of him being so ruthlessly degraded was unbearable.
Ethan, always so proud, would be devastated by this. The thought of him in such a state was inconceivable.
Fear gripped Emma as she stared at the bloodthirsty demon before her. Would he stop at nothing, not even content after draining her of everything, even her very blood?
Terrified, Emma’s body slumped, and in a voice as fragile as a whisper, she pleaded, "Please, no more."
"No more of what?" he retorted coldly.
"Don’t do this to him!"
Damian Sterling’s gaze darkened, his ferocity and cruelty undiminished.
The thought that, even now, this woman’s mind was filled with another man only fueled his anger.
Her plea, a desperate sacrifice of her dignity for another man, only served to enrage Damian further.
Releasing his hold on Emma, a fleeting look of disappointment crossed Damian’s eyes, a sentiment he wished to conceal from everyone.
Emma could hardly comprehend how she managed to escape that place—a paradise for some women but a living hell for her. Void of life, her eyes were lifelessly shoved into a car.
As the car glided smoothly along the streets, Emma stared blankly out the window. It was as if she saw nothing and yet glimpsed everything in a fleeting blur.
Her mind was a void, refusing to ponder any further. The horror was too much to bear.
The spacious living room was eerily quiet, with Damian Sterling arrogantly perched on the genuine leather sofa.
On the floor, Emma Hart sat slumped, having lost track of how she even ended up here.
The room’s lights, turned up to their brightest by someone unknown, added to Emma’s discomfort.
Her eyes, already red and swollen from crying during her ordeal at the "Baron" stung under the harsh lighting, barely allowing her to keep them open.
A few hazy halos formed above Damian Sterling’s head, making it clear he was no angel but a devil incarnate.
At a casual flick of Damian’s finger, his towering bodyguard tossed a pile of papers in front of Emma.
She picked one up to find a bill, and soon realized they were all bills or statements for that supplementary credit card.
"These..." Emma looked up at Damian, her voice trailing off.
"Yes, these are what you owe me," he confirmed nonchalantly.
Emma picked up one of the bills, the amount running into hundreds of thousands.
One was a down payment for a house, followed by an amount several times higher, nearly a million.
"What is this? The down payment was only around three hundred thousand," she questioned, her voice laced with disbelief.
Damian Sterling sneered, "Do you think I’m trying to swindle you?"
"This is the remaining balance your grandmother paid."
"The remaining balance?" Emma’s eyes widened in shock. The down payment her grandmother made was already a burden, and now a balance nearing a million?
Damian adjusted his wristwatch, his brows relaxing slightly as he admired his new, limited edition timepiece worth nearly a million.
His tone was casual, almost mocking. "You should blame yourself for repeatedly causing trouble, making your grandmother think you were about to fall out of favor. Of course, she would want to cash in on your current favor."
Suddenly, Damian’s gaze fixed on Emma, pinning her like prey cornered by a predator.
Emma felt as if she was on the edge of a cliff with Damian closing in step by step. One more step and she’d plunge into an abyss.
"What do you say? Are you in favor now or out of it?" His gaze was sinister, filled with a provocative challenge.
Such bone-chilling coldness would oppress even the burly bodyguard standing by.
Emma Hart remained silent, prompting Damian Sterling to ask again in a low, menacing tone, "Are you deaf?"
She wasn’t deaf, but she wished she were—deaf, blind, mute, even disfigured. Perhaps then, Damian Sterling might spare her.
Before Emma could even process her thoughts, Damian closed the distance between them in a single stride.
He bent his long legs, leaned in close to her face, and gripped her chin.
"Emma Hart, you’re still in favor. After all, I’m bothering to waste my words on you here. But remember, if the day comes when you fall out of favor, I won’t waste a single word on you."
"Wouldn’t that be a blessing! Pah!" Emma glared at Damian, her eyes filled with fury.
Damian released Emma and casually wiped away the mark she left on his face, seemingly unfazed by her repeated defiance.
"Is that your personality shining through?"
"Damian Sterling, you disgust me! I loathe you!"
If Emma had a knife in her hand at that moment, she would have killed the man before her. She refused to be his plaything!
In an instant, Damian’s lips forcefully covered Emma’s, his kiss so intense she felt her breath might stop.
Emma’s hands weakly pounded against Damian’s body, trying to muster the strength to resist, but she was already too drained...
With heavy silence, Emma endured Damian’s kiss, a so-called ’blessing’ he bestowed upon any woman.
"Emma Hart, what to do? No matter what, I still like you... your taste," Damian murmured, his tone dangerously seductive.
To Emma, this seduction was not only an insult to himself but the greatest insult to her.
