Overbearing CEO's Contract Love
Chapter 385: Aggressive Acquisition

Chapter 385: Aggressive Acquisition

Moonlight was blocked by the white gauze curtains and the blackout cloth outside.

Inside the bedroom, only a small wall lamp was still dutifully working, guarding the last bit of light in the room.

Emma Hart was afraid of the dark, so it wasn’t until she fell asleep that Damien Sterling prepared to get up and turn off the final light in the bedroom.

As he looked at the soft, delicate body beside him, he slowly got up and reached out to turn off the lamp. His movements were light and slow, all to avoid disturbing his partner.

The next morning, everything returned to normal. Emma Hart, having temporarily escaped the arduous life of a personal assistant, decided to sleep in.

No matter how hard Damien Sterling tried, he couldn’t wake her up, so he chose to give up and head to the company himself. "Oh well, her fitness trainer will be here soon. Let her sleep a bit longer," he thought.

At the company, Damien Sterling was as busy as ever. During a rare break to have a cup of coffee, he suddenly felt the office was much lonelier.

Without Emma Hart’s constant complaints and jokes, and without Ryan Garcia teasing the long-legged secretary, he felt out of sorts. Speaking of Ryan Garcia, since he returned from Peach Blossom Town, he had hardly visited Damien’s office. Where had that kid gone?

Feeling a bit uneasy, Damien Sterling called Ryan Garcia.

"Hello?" Ryan Garcia answered the phone in less than three seconds.

"Ryan, where are you?" Damien Sterling asked.

"I’m at the coffee shop downstairs from your company playing a game! Bro, I gotta go. If I don’t hang up, my teammates will start yelling at me. Bye!" Ryan Garcia quickly ended the call, leaving a dial tone in Damien Sterling’s ear.

Relieved that Ryan Garcia wasn’t doing anything drastic, Damien thought, "Playing games is still better than him staying at the Green Mountain Retreat all day, sleeping. But I still need to find a chance to talk to him properly."

In the coffee shop downstairs from Sterling Group, Ryan Garcia was playing a mobile game with the store’s employees during their lunch break.

"Charge! Charge! Hey, what are you doing?" The employee was more engrossed in the game than Ryan Garcia and would scold him when he didn’t follow directions.

Finally, Ryan Garcia couldn’t hold back. He turned off the game and started arguing with the employee.

"Who do you think you are, ordering me around? Just a lowly store employee! Don’t you know the customer is always right?" Ryan Garcia snapped.

"Ha! With your lousy skills, you think you can win? Dream on! And so what if I’m a store employee? At least I’m not here all day nursing a single cup of coffee!" The employee retorted defiantly.

Ryan Garcia pointed at the employee, full of provocation, "Fine! Today, I’ll make sure you can’t say another word!"

"Go get your boss!" Ryan Garcia shouted.

"W-what do you want with my boss?" The employee stammered, a bit nervous.

"Hurry up!" Ryan Garcia glared menacingly.

A short, chubby man heard the commotion and rushed over from a private room at the back of the coffee shop.

"Oh dear! Dear customer, is there something we did wrong?" The man bowed and nodded to Ryan Garcia.

"Are you the boss?" Ryan Garcia glanced at the man, then continued staring at the employee.

"Yes, yes, I am the owner of this shop!" The man answered quickly.

Ryan Garcia stretched his neck, producing a series of unsettling "crack" sounds. Lazily, he pulled out a bank card from his wallet and said, "I want to buy this shop. Name your price!"

This statement shocked everyone present.

Finally, Ryan Garcia successfully became the new owner of the coffee shop for two million dollars.

"Boss!" The employee who had offended Ryan Garcia earlier was so frightened that he stuttered, thinking that he was in big trouble now.

"You, what’s your name? Never mind, it’s not important. From now on, your break time is cut in half! Get to work!" Ryan Garcia said, then casually propped his feet up on the sofa, took a sip of the coffee on the table beside him, and continued playing his game, looking completely at ease.

The news of the aggressive acquisition of the coffee shop quickly spread, reaching various offices within Sterling Group and eventually the ears of Damien Sterling. As Damien Sterling stepped out of his office to use the restroom, he overheard a conversation in the men’s room about a rich kid aggressively buying the coffee shop downstairs.

"What are you talking about?" Damien Sterling asked the two junior employees nearby.

"Mr. Sterling, we heard from the cashier downstairs that a rich kid who plays games at their shop almost every day got annoyed with an employee today and ended up buying the place for two million dollars!" one of the employees replied.

"Ryan Garcia?" A rich kid playing games—Damien Sterling immediately pictured Ryan Garcia. Only he would handle something so recklessly.

Damien Sterling rushed back to his office and called Ryan Garcia.

"Ryan Garcia! Get up here right now!" he snapped as soon as Ryan answered, then slammed his phone down on the sofa, furious.

The long-legged secretary at the office door witnessed the alarming scene, her body trembling slightly. Since working with Damien Sterling, she had never seen him so angry.

In the coffee shop, Ryan Garcia realized that Damien Sterling was in a terrible mood. Could it be that he already found out what I did? he thought, growing more anxious. He immediately ran to the president’s office of Sterling Group.

Outside the office, the long-legged secretary saw Ryan Garcia approaching slowly. She glanced at Damien Sterling, who was sitting on the sofa with his head down, then tiptoed over to Ryan Garcia to warn him to be careful.

Hearing the secretary’s warning, Ryan Garcia became even more nervous. He closed his eyes and pushed open the door to "hell."

"Bro," Ryan Garcia said, his heart filled with indescribable tension.

Damien Sterling, with his chin resting on his hand and eyes full of cold anger, said, "Explain yourself."

He glanced at the coffee cup in front of him, and Ryan Garcia knew he was referring to the coffee shop purchase.

"Bro, this was my decision. I don’t need you to interfere!" Ryan Garcia said, stubborn like a child who had done something wrong but refused to admit it.

"Is this how you waste the money your mother left you?" Damien Sterling suddenly stood up, exploding with anger.

Ryan Garcia’s eyes didn’t leave Damien, but his heart skipped a beat.
