Overbearing CEO's Contract Love
Chapter 15: Prospective Father

Chapter 15: Prospective Father

Soon approaching noon, Emma, dressed in a custom floral dress specifically chosen by Damien Sterling, arrived at the opulent Sterling mansion.

The grand crystal chandelier and the extensive dining table adorned with pristine porcelain plates and golden cutlery exuded unmatched luxury, leaving Emma slightly agape with awe.

The patriarch, with a tremulous gait, came forward to scrutinize Emma, his gaze lingering on her slightly bulging belly, nodding in approval.

Damien’s dark eyes, almost smiling, admired Emma’s fair profile. He was determined not to slip up today.

With a graceful smile, Damien protectively escorted Emma to their seats, pulling out a high-backed chair for her before sitting beside her.

"Grandfather, this is Emma Hart, the one I’ve told you about."

In stark contrast to his usual cold and aloof demeanor, Damien looked at Emma with a doting expression, his handsome face lit up with a charming smile.

Emma, maintaining her polite smile, decided to play along with this charade.

Emma daintily tasted the food, while Damien occasionally added more to her plate, playfully tousling her hair and leaning close to her face.

Panic surged through Emma, fearing an imminent kiss from this intimidating man, ready to risk it all.

A drop of cold sweat formed on Emma forehead just as the butler served a bowl of exquisite borscht.

Seizing the moment, Emma ’accidentally’ spilled the scalding soup on Damien’s expensive shirt. "Oh no, I’m so sorry, Damien! Are you alright?" she exclaimed, her eyes showing false concern.

"Grandfather, I’m so sorry, I’ve never cooked at home. I’m so clumsy even with something as simple as soup. I’m utterly useless," Emma said, batting her large eyes.

Damien, now in a dark suit, appeared more dashing and commanding.

"Not knowing how to cook is fine. Our Sterling house staff will take good care of you. Just focus on your pregnancy," Damien replied, patiently cleaning Emma’s dress and replacing her utensils.

Damien sharp, handsome features showed no sign of anger.

"Exactly, a girl shouldn’t have to work so hard. Damien will take care of you at home," the elderly gentleman said affectionately, continuously serving food onto Emma’s plate.

Emma shot Damien a glare, but he simply smiled, gently caressing her belly, looking every bit the expectant father.

Emma felt powerless, realizing she was far from outsmarting this man.

At the doorway, the grandfather, still shaky, held Emma’s hand.

"Marry soon, so I can enjoy my blessings." His kind gaze held a dry wit, and despite his age, he exuded an aura of authority and influence.

He seemed particularly pleased with his prospective granddaughter-in-law.

"Of course," Damien replied respectfully.

Emma, speechless, struggled to break free from Damien’s firm embrace but was held tightly in his grasp.

Frustrated, she glared at him, thinking, ’What is this man made of, so unyielding?’

As they got into the car, Damien’s expression returned to his usual icy demeanor.

"Back to the villa," he ordered coldly.

Emma’s rebellious outburst had just ruined his good mood, his face darkening, chilling the air in the car.

"Let me go back, let me go back!" Emma yelled at Damien, startling everyone in the car.

They had never seen anyone dare to speak to the young master like that. She must be fearless.

Damien’s brief moment of delight was shattered by her disruption, his expression turning stormy as the temperature in the car seemed to drop several degrees.
