Otherworld Advance Team
Chapter 763 - 756: The Space Administration’s Plan

Chapter 763: Chapter 756: The Space Administration’s Plan

Or should it be said that headquarters were just playing it safe, wanting to hold onto both Luoer and Luoya as pawns as a sort of double insurance?

After giving it a lot of thought, this seems to be the only conclusion. After all, it would be relatively easy to assemble an Advance Team, so when the Murong Squad gains the same capabilities as the Luoer Squad, they can completely replace the Luoer Squad. In that way, headquarters could openly secure their political assets.

It seems that Cheng Ziang is still ignorant of his value, and thus can be said to have made the mistake of not recognizing the inherent value of Lu Mountain. Luoer Squad being called back isn’t just because of Luoer, there’s also Cheng Ziang and Tangmo.

But thankfully, Hu Daoke decided not to continue arguing with him and instead chose to ignore it. The two silently came into the chamber where Luoer was—he was lying on the bed talking with Fulajie’er, who sat on his chest.

Ever since Luoer promised to communicate more with Fulajie’er, he had kept his promise in the days that followed. In regards to Fulajie’er, Tangmo and Baiyue showed an unusual magnanimity, completely ignoring her potential threat to them, and confidently entrusted Luoer to her care.

After all, compared to them, Fulajie’er is just a ghost with no physical entity, and thus was not capable of posing a substantial threat to them, which was why they remained so generous.

"Ah, you’re back to criticize Luoer again!" Upon seeing the two, Fulajie’er flew from Luoer’s chest and floated in the air as she spoke.

"Why do I get the feeling that you have a problem with me?" Cheng Ziang asked expressionlessly.

"Of course I do! If Luoer is already aware of his wrongdoings, why do you keep criticizing him?" Fulajie’er declared with righteous indignation.

"Kid, we criticize Luoer in hopes that he stops being foolish. Who knows how many times he would have died otherwise," Cheng Ziang said.

"Don’t call me a kid, I’m much older than you!" Fulajie’er exclaimed in frustration.

"Um... Fula sister, we’re here to visit the boss, not criticize him. So please calm down," Hu Daoke comforted from the side.

"How dare you call me old!" Fulajie’er fumed upon hearing Hu Daoke.

"What a handful..." Cheng Ziang couldn’t help but mutter.

"Enough, Fula. Stop arguing, we’re all family here," Luoer smiled from behind, diffusing the situation just in time.

"Hmm, Luoer doesn’t let me be angry at you, so you all should behave!" Upon hearing Luoer’s words, Fulajie’er humphed in response.

Her soul had been detached at an early age, causing Fulajie’er’s voice to sound exceptionally childish. The way she threatened them with her baby-like voice made it seem more like she was throwing a child’s tantrum.

"It’s because of your pampering that Luoer becomes reckless," Cheng Ziang said, turning his gaze to Luoer.

"Hmm," noticing his gaze, Luoer coughed and then said a bit awkwardly, "I am aware of my mistakes."

"Sigh, forget it. Anyway, we’re not here to criticize you," Cheng Ziang waved, sat down on the bed opposite Luoer, and said seriously, "Mu Lansi is already dead, and the air fleet is retreating."

"I already know," Luoer nodded.

"How’s your leg?" Cheng Ziang’s gaze shifted to Luoer’s leg, and his tone grew softer.

"It’s not broken, it’ll heal in a few days. You don’t have to worry about me, I’m not that fragile," Luoer said.

"We’re not worried about you being fragile. We’re worried about you being rash," Cheng Ziang intoned.

"Hmm!" Hearing Cheng Ziang’s words, Luoer coughed again in embarrassment and fell silent.

"What’s your take on Mu Lansi’s death?" Cheng Ziang asked Luoer.

Even though he just explained to Hu Daoke about Mu Lansi’s matter, it was merely his side of the story. Cheng Ziang still wanted to hear Luoer’s thoughts. After all, as the captain of the advance team, Luoer’s insights could not possibly be inferior to Hu Daoke’s.

"Whether for the headquarters or the pro-Ronisca faction, Mu Lansi’s defection was a golden opportunity. Suffice to say, both sides had sharpened their knives, and Mu Lansi just happened to run into them." Luoer pondered for a moment, then spoke seriously.

"If I were Mooer, I would use this chance to deal with the traditional powers within Ronisca, at least reducing them to a level where they cannot resist." Cheng Ziang nodded and replied.

"I’ve spoken to Wang Xu about some matters regarding Ronisca, and it seems like people back home care a lot about the relationship between headquarters and Ronisca. I’m thinking, after this incident, the relationship between headquarters and Ronisca might go to a new level." Luoer said.

"Since when do people back home care so much about extraterrestrial matters? Aren’t these things always overseen by the headquarters?" Cheng Ziang asked.

"You still remember the National Space Administration?" Luoer asked back.

"I remember, they seemed to have made a fuss when we apprehended Fu’en." Cheng Ziang nodded uncertainly.

"It’s them again this time. They clearly care a lot about the relationship between the headquarters and Ronisca and want to use their relationship to plan some secret moves." Luoer said.

"I’ve been curious, why does the National Space Administration interfere in the headquarters’ affairs in Otherworld?" Cheng Ziang couldn’t help but ask.

"Seems like they’re very interested in the High-peak people’s airboats." Luoer replied.

"Damn," Cheng Ziang couldn’t help cursing, then shrugged and said, "They should just focus on Earth’s aerospace affairs. Why bother with Otherworld’s airboats? They can’t operate them even if they were brought to Earth."

"It seems they have their own ideas," Luoer paused, then continued, "I have a hunch that since the High-peak people are willing to share the antigravity engine technology with us, they might give us a big gift when we return."

"Are you saying that the people from the National Space Administration are planning to use Otherworld’s airboats to fly into Otherworld’s space?" Cheng Ziang contemplated.

"We’re not clear about their intentions yet, we can only play it by ear, but anyway, the Space Administration has helped the headquarters a lot this time. Without their support, it would have been really difficult for the headquarters to apply for funds." Luoer said.

"Anyway," Cheng Ziang scanned the surroundings and then looked back at Luoer, "Aren’t those two young girls with you?"

"Oh, they are studying the hyper-mobility devices, discussing the viability of hyper-mobility parachutes." Luoer answered truthfully.

"They’re probably angry at you so they’re avoiding you." Cheng Ziang looked at him and said.

Cheng Ziang’s words once again left Luoer speechless, he could only shut his mouth in silence. Seeing Luoer’s embarrassment, Cheng Ziang felt a bit guilty and continued to ask, "By the way, what were you thinking when you rushed up there?"

"I just thought we couldn’t let Mu Lansi leave alive. Whether he incites internal revolt in Ronisca or joins the Zhuyan People, it would be bad news for us. Such instability is best to get rid of as soon as possible." Luoer answered honestly.

"You could have let Fulajie’er deal with him, why did you go yourself? Did you act impulsively again?" Cheng Ziang asked.

"No," Luoer pursed his lips, looked at Fulajie’er who was chatting with Hu Daoke not far away, shook his head and said, "Truth be told, even though Fula is part of the advance team, I don’t want her hands to be stained with blood. I would rather she keep her kindness and innocence."

"So, you took it upon yourself and almost got killed?" Cheng Ziang asked.

"I didn’t want to die either..." Luoer murmured.

"Luoer, you’re always so good to everyone, always willing to sacrifice yourself for others. But do you realize, as far as we’re concerned, your safety is our biggest kindness. Yet you keep overdrawing our trust repeatedly. We all don’t want anything to happen to you, so stop using up our trust in you." Cheng Ziang said solemnly and sincerely.
