Chapter 738: Chapter 731: Who is stronger, who is weaker

"You’re just stirring the pot!" Cheng Ziang said, looking at him.

"What kind of talk is that? I just want to see them spar, isn’t that normal? Didn’t you spar with your master before?" Hu Daoke argued back.

Hearing Hu Daoke’s words, Cheng Ziang felt a stir in his heart. To be honest, he had a lot of faith in Yalunte’s abilities, and he knew he could control his strength. So when Hu Daoke mentioned it, he was quite interested in seeing the duel between the two.

"Let’s go discuss with Big Brother how to use it," Hu Daoke coaxed from the side, "Ever since I saw Feng’s abilities last time, I’ve been curious. Since both of them studied under the same master, who’s stronger between her and Big Brother?"

"Stop saying ’we’, ’we’. If you want to go, you should go yourself!" Cheng Ziang flatly declined.

After being rebuffed by Cheng Ziang, Hu Daoke was startled for a while, then gritted his teeth and said, "Stop pretending in front of me. Can’t I see through your little tricks? If we’re going, we’re going together, or it’s not happening."

After spending so much time together, Hu Daoke had a good grasp of Cheng Ziang’s temperament. He knew Cheng Ziang liked face and wanted to push him forward, so he neatly rejected his attempt.

With Hu Daoke exposing the truth, Cheng Ziang didn’t get angry out of embarrassment. He looked at Hu Daoke, then suddenly laughed, shaking his head and saying helplessly, "Let’s go then, both of us."

"That’s more like it!" Seeing Cheng Ziang relent, Hu Daoke nodded in satisfaction, then pulled him over to Yalunte.

At that moment, Yalunte was focused on teaching Luoer how to use the Super Mobility Device. Seeing the two men coming, he turned his head and asked, "Are you two slacking off?"

"Big Brother, we want to discuss something with you!" Hu Daoke let go of Cheng Ziang’s hand and walked up warmly, putting his arm around Yalunte’s shoulder.

"What is it? All secretive?" Yalunte glanced at him, then at Cheng Ziang, and asked in full suspicion.

"Big Brother," Hu Daoke didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly, "Who do you think is stronger between you and Feng?"

"Of course, it’s Little Fengye," Yalunte replied with a smile, "She’s a battle mage. If she gets into a fight, I wouldn’t even be able to get close."

"I mean without using magic formulas, just swordsmanship!" Hu Daoke said.

"Oh," hearing his words, Yalunte hesitated for a moment and then said, "I should be a bit stronger because I’ve been wandering around for years, so my practical skills should be better than hers. Of course, I can’t be sure. After all, Little Fengye has been with the Master for so many years, she should have learned better than me."

"You’ve gone through hardships for decades, and you’re still not as good as someone who has studied for a few years?" Hu Daoke asked incredulously.

"You’re overthinking it. Only if you’ve fought with the Master, would you understand how strong his swordsmanship is," Yalunte hesitated, sighed, and then said with lingering fear, "This title of Sword Saint. If it were not given to me by the Master, based solely on my abilities, I wouldn’t have gotten it in this lifetime."

"Is he that strong?" Hearing Yalunte’s description, Cheng Ziang finally can’t help but get closer, staring wide-eyed and asking, "I remember when we met the Prophet, he was already blind."

"Even though he’s blind, we still wouldn’t stand a chance against him," Yalunte laughed bitterly with resignation. "The Master has a mind’s eye. Even if he’s blind, it wouldn’t hinder him at all. My abilities are just weak compared to him. Even after decades of learning, my mind’s eye is still developing."

"Oh, I remember that Feng also has a mind’s eye. She can sense movements within a fifty-meter radius, even Xiao Fula can be detected." Hu Daoke realized and said.

"In that case, it’s even more hopeless," Yalunte shrugged and said, "My mind’s eye is inferior to Little Fengye, I won’t have the upper hand facing her off."

"Big Brother, don’t be so down. Don’t we just need to try to find out if we can win or not!" Hu Daoke patted Yalunte’s shoulder, seemingly comforting, but actually coaxing him.

"You guys just want to see me spar with Little Fengye, right!" Yalunte saw through Hu Daoke’s little scheme in a glance.

"Err..." Being seen through, Hu Daoke paused awkwardly, and then immediately sold out Cheng Ziang. "It was him, he was the one who wanted to see who was stronger between his master and Feng."

"You little rascal!" Cheng Ziang, who had been betrayed, was instantly enraged, glaring at Hu Daoke, and said through gritted teeth.

"Do you really want to see?" Yalunte looked at Cheng Ziang with a grin and asked.

"I just want to see which one of you two is stronger. If Feng is better, then I’ll pledge my loyalty to her!" Cheng Ziang said sternly, unwilling to lose face.

"Do we really need to do this," Yalunte gave a bitter laugh, then said, "even if you pledged yourself to her, she can’t train you anyway."

"That’s my business; you don’t need to worry about it." Cheng Ziang retorted stubbornly.

"Fine then. Since you desperately want to know, I’ll compare skills with Little Fengye and see who’s better, a seasoned world wanderer like me or her." Yalunte said, beginning to stretch, then took a deep breath and headed towards Feng, who was in the midst of training.

"Eh, are you two going to compete?" Tangmo turned his head to look at the approaching Yalunte and asked.

"Mm," Yalunte nodded his head, then said, "Actually, I just want to see how much Little Fengye has picked up from her master over the years."

"As per elder brother’s request, Feng will gladly comply!" Feng nodded her head and respectfully stated.

"You guys..." Tangmo asked worriedly.

"Rest assured, we’re just comparing sword techniques. If it’s anything else, I’m sure I wouldn’t stand a chance against her!" Yalunte shrugged his shoulders and said candidly.

"Then okay, I’ll have Luo’er host it..." Tangmo hesitantly suggested.

Following this, the group approached Luoer and briefly explained the situation. Luoer approved of their request to compete, knowing such a harmless contest would be beneficial for everyone.

"I’ve got an idea," Hu Daoke stepped forward and suggested, "Why don’t you two just use swordsmanship and combine it with the super mobility device? What do you think?"

"That sounds good. It will let us see the limitations and flaws of the super mobility device." Luoer nodded in approval.

"I have no problem with it, but wouldn’t that be a bit unfair on Feng?" Yalunte shrugged his shoulders, then looked across at Feng to ask.

"It’s fine. I have no problem!" Feng pulled out the long knife that Cheng Ziang had given her and threw its sheath to the side. Her left hand landed on the activation device as she coldly replied.

She was more serious than anyone else and had already prepared for an attack; all was left was for Yalunte to be ready.

"Hey, guys, can you get me a sword, please!" Yalunte shouted loudly at the workers who were huddled together in a circle.

"Sure!" They answered together and then called one of their companions to fetch a sword.

"What are you guys up to?" Hu Daoke walked over to ask when he noticed their odd behavior.

"Whoa, you scared us!" Seeing Hu Daoke suddenly appear, the group was startled.

"Damn, are you guys placing bets on who will win or lose? What’s the stake?" Hu Daoke asked enthusiastically.

"Cut the crap, bet or not?" One of them playing the role of the dealer asked.

"Of course, of course. Can I bet anything?" Hu Daoke started going through the pockets of his clothes, looking for something to bet.

Soon afterwards, the workers brought a very ordinary steel sword and handed it over to Yalunte. It was a common weapon from the Otherworld that was widely used before the spread of firearms on Earth.

Feng held a porcelain long knife, and Yalunte merely had an ordinary steel sword. At first glance, it seemed that the equipment distribution was not fair. However, Yalunte wasn’t very bothered, as a Sword Saint like him doesn’t rely on the quality of weapons to determine victory or defeat.

Yalunte follows the swift path of the sword, relying on mobility and agility to attack an opponent’s weak spots. This is drastically different from Dina, the Grand Commander of the Third Judgement Legion, who relies on wide and powerful assaults to force opponents into a difficult defense and reveal their openings, and then attack their weak spots.
