Getting a feedback, Hu Daoke got even more excited and didn’t stop pulling the trigger. As the firing intensified, he gave up burst fire mode and directly emptied a clip into a small boat. The bullets poured down like a heavy rain, splintering the boat while the pirates on it were shot and tumbled into the water. Hu’s gunfire dyed the entire sea red in an instant.

Baiyue sat on the mast platform, resting the sniper rifle on her knee. She tried a shot but found the bullet’s trajectory severely off. She took another shot to confirm her sniper scope was off.

But in this situation, adjusting the sniper scope was out of the question. She simply noted the deviation data and used it to compensate while aiming and shooting.

Recognising the turn of events, the captain soon ordered fire again from the field guns, bombarding the distant pirate ship. Even though it was hard to hit them, the deterrence was enough to maintain a safe distance between the pirate ship and the merchant ship.

The pirates’ small boats quickly approached the merchant ship, which was high above the water. If they wanted to storm, they would have to climb up. Luo’er stepped onto the side of the ship, aiming at the small boat below and pulled the trigger.

Only half a magazine later, he had shattered a wooden boat, and water began to flood into the hull. Several pirates attempting to board were hit with bullets and bright red blood dyed the seawater in the hull.

Hu Daoke also picked up a light machine gun, aiming at the small boat below and firing continuously. His firepower was much stronger than Luo’er’s, managing to break a small boat in half. The pirates hit with bullets rolled into the sea, and soon several bodies floated up.
