Chapter 1585: Chapter 1578: People Gone, Building Empty
"Master, please calm your anger..." Uncle Yu carefully said.
"How can I calm down, many people have already died, so many... No more people can die..." Huayu Ting said fiercely.
"Master, rest assured, I will keep an eye on them, and if indeed those people took the child away, I will find a way to detain them for the Master to deal with." Uncle Yu said, bowing his head.
"Just send someone to watch over it; you stay in command here at the mansion, I must go and find the people myself." Huayu Family took a deep breath, finally not looking so fierce.
"Master, you mustn’t..." Uncle Yu said anxiously.
"What do you mean I mustn’t? Are you saying that those messy affairs are more important than this matter?" Huayu Ting asked.
"No, no, Master..." Uncle Yu hesitated, "If someone recognizes you, then it would be..."
"Are you trying to teach me what to do?" Huayu Ting sneered, revealing a disconcerting cold smile.
"No, I wouldn’t dare..." Uncle Yu quickly bowed his head.
"You stay in command here at the mansion," Huayu Ting walked two steps forward, took a deep breath, and said sternly, "If there is any news of the saint, send someone to bring them back and settle them properly, to avoid them always causing me trouble."
"Yes, as the Master commands." Uncle Yu nodded and said.
"I want to meet these money-eyed fellows," Huayu Ting stared at his own palm and muttered, "I really want to see which greedy fool dares to trouble me."
"Master, please make sure not to reveal your identity..." Uncle Yu said worriedly.
"Hmph." Huayu Ting glanced at him and left the courtyard on his own.
With Fulajie’er’s protection, Luo’er and his party were finally able to sleep soundly. When they woke up the next day, it was almost noon.
Tangmo and his group meticulously handled the trivial matters, planning to wait here for Cheng Ziang to join them. However, Fei Yu felt very uneasy, pacing back and forth since the moment she opened her eyes.
"Are you alright?" Tangmo asked with concern, noticing her unease.
"Manor Lord, I, I want to go back and check, something might have happened at my home..." As Fei Yu spoke, her voice slowly began to sob, adding with a sense of guilt, "I, I am such a fool, I completely forgot that I have children at home... If something happened to them, I really wouldn’t have the face to see my husband..."
"Take it slow, what’s wrong at your home?" Tangmo asked with concern.
"They, they are capturing people from the Demon Clan everywhere, my children, they might..." Fei Yu spoke and began to cry uncontrollably.
"Please calm down, when did you leave?" Tangmo said, trying to console her with a gesture.
"I, I left yesterday, I thought I could return yesterday, but didn’t expect to encounter danger..." Fei Yu cried as she talked.
"Where is your home then? Let us accompany you back to have a look." Tangmo suggested.
Upon hearing this, Fei Yu immediately stopped crying and timidly looked at her. She opened her mouth several times but remained silent, seemingly very reluctant.
"You don’t want us to go to your home?" Tangmo noticed this and asked.
"I’m sorry..." Fei Yu said, bowing her head deeply.
"Fei Yu, you can trust us," Tangmo put an arm around her shoulders, saying earnestly, "We come from West Outer Heaven, and the Demon Clan people are our friends. You can fully trust us, just as you can trust your friends."
"Thank you so much, Manor Lord..." Fei Yu hesitated for a long time with her head bowed, finally expressing her gratitude.
"You’re welcome, since your children might be in danger now, let’s first escort you back to check, how about that?" Tangmo said.
"Yes," Fei Yu nodded, then once again lowered her head, sincerely saying, "Thank you..."
"No need to mention it, let’s go." Tangmo said, helping Fei Yu to stand.
Then, Tangmo updated Luo’er about the situation. After a brief preparation, the carriage officially set out towards Fei Yu’s home. Fei Yu sat outside the carriage showing an uneasy and pained expression, while Tangmo comforted her gently.
"In this case, we will not be able to wait for Cheng Ziang..." Baiyue looked back worriedly.
"Ah, don’t worry, Old Cheng is lucky, he won’t have any problems." Hu Daoke seemed quite indifferent.
"Should we leave someone to wait?" Bai Yue asked.
"Better not," Hu Daoke said, "We are not like Old Cheng; going alone might be dangerous. Besides, the boss and Sister Moumou probably won’t let us split our forces anymore."
"Ah, I hope he can be telepathically linked with us." Hearing this, Bai Yue could only sigh deeply.
The carriage traveled along the road, covering over ten kilometers before turning onto a barely passable path. Following the path for several more kilometers, a small courtyard situated in the mountains suddenly came into view.
This was a courtyard next to mountains and waters, not very large in area, with high walls covered in green moss. In front of the house was a lake connected to a river network, where one could see simple piers and boats, indicating that this was a place frequently inhabited.
Without considering driving, the best way to reach here would actually be by boat. Because this part of the road was indeed difficult to navigate: not only was it narrow, but it also was quite muddy and hard to traverse.
The carriage slowly arrived at the open space outside the courtyard, and Fei Yu immediately saw the open gate, became utterly distraught, let out a scream, jumped off the carriage, and scurried toward the courtyard in a tumble.
"Follow her!" Tangmo pointed at her and ordered the team members.
Feng took the initiative; she leapt directly from the carriage, holding a knife in one hand, and twisting the mobility device on her waist with the other, her body lightly crossed over the tall courtyard walls.
After the carriage stabilized, Hu Daoke and Bai Yue also jumped down and rushed toward Fei Yu with their guns.
Fei Yu stumbled to the entrance of the courtyard, and shortly after entering, her despairing calls could be heard, seemingly calling for her child.
Feng ran along the top of the wall, extending her consciousness, keenly capturing any possible movements. Bai Yue and Hu Daoke coordinated smoothly, bursting into the courtyard from both sides, keeping alert while assisting Fei Yu in her search.
A short while later, just as Tangmo finished tying up the horses, Feng leapt down from the wall, approaching her.
"How is it?" Tangmo asked anxiously.
"It’s only us." Feng shook her head in response.
"This is bad..." Tangmo sighed.
Sure enough, as soon as her words fell, a heartbreaking cry erupted from Fei Yu in the courtyard, accompanied by the comforting noises of Hu Daoke and Bai Yue.
"Did the child disappear?" Luo’er’s concerned voice came from inside the carriage.
"Yes, it seems we arrived too late." Tangmo turned her head toward the carriage, sighing.
"Try your best to help her find the child." Luo’er spoke solemnly after a moment of silence.
"Understood, we’ll do our best." Tangmo nodded.
Then, she started calling for Fulajie’er, and after getting a response, she asked, "Xiao Fula, can you find anything related to those children and track down their whereabouts?"
"What are you thinking, I’m a ghost, not a dog..." Fulajie’er responded irritably.
"This is troublesome, who could have taken them?" Tangmo sighed deeply, falling into contemplation.
At that moment, Hu Daoke and Bai Yue dragged the collapsed Fei Yu out of the courtyard. It wasn’t that their actions were too rough; rather, Fei Yu was completely limp and couldn’t stand at all.
She let out a desperate cry, her face covered in tears. Her hair also became messy due to repeated rubbing. As the two dragged her out, her tears mixed with saliva and snot continuously flowed, leaving a trail of liquid on the ground.
"Sister Moumou, what should we do?" Hu Daoke turned his head to Tangmo, asking with a troubled expression.
"I’ll comfort her; you guys check around and see if you can find any clues." Tangmo took a deep breath and pondered.
"Alright, just be careful..." Hearing her words, Hu Daoke and Bai Yue exchanged glances, relieved to let go of Fei Yu, then holding their guns, they turned back towards the courtyard.
"Feng, you’re responsible for the lookout; Xiao Fula, expand the search area." Tangmo continued to order.
"I got it..." Fulajie’er let out a reluctant voice, beginning to search the surroundings.
