Chapter 1410 - 1403: Kidnap the Rich Lady

Chapter 1410: Chapter 1403: Kidnap the Rich Lady

"Doesn’t matter," Cheng Ziang shrugged uninterestedly, then continued to ask, "So, if we leave, will you kill yourself?"

"I will not let the Yichuan Clan suffer from your false accusations. I will cleanse the Yichuan Clan’s name with my own death," the girl said, her eyes suddenly reddening as tears once again filled them.

"You don’t want to die, do you?" Cheng Ziang asked with a slight frown, seemingly intrigued.

"How dare you judge my thoughts with your vile mind," the girl snapped back, becoming angry and embarrassed as if he’d touched a nerve.

"Hmm, looks like you’ve given up," said Cheng Ziang, a sudden idea sparking an ambiguous expression as he looked her up and down.

"Since you’re dead either way, you might as well let us brothers have some fun," Cheng Ziang said with narrowed eyes and a lecherous tone, "We’ll take turns tormenting you each night, tormenting you to death. How does that sound?"

The girl, upon seeing his lecherous gaze and hearing his words, turned pale with fright, stepping back again and again, her body curled up, her face stripped of its former pride.

"Please, please don’t do this, I... I am willing to take my lady’s place," the seemingly frail maid suddenly stepped forward, pleading with a trembling voice.

"Get lost, we’re not interested in you. It’s pampered misses like her we crave, they taste absolutely delightful, no need to even think about it," Cheng Ziang said, making a crude swallowing noise.

Stepping forward, the maid tried to intercept him in desperation. It was then that Feng acted, her long sword swiftly thrusting out, its back accurately placed on the maid’s slender neck, then slowly moving her stiff body aside so she wouldn’t block Cheng Ziang’s path.

Though Feng usually didn’t make her stance known, she didn’t actually appreciate such filthy talk. But she knew all too well that Cheng Ziang and Hu Daoke were honorable men, likely just trying to intimidate this arrogant miss, and they definitely wouldn’t force themselves on her.

After all, being from Haiya Academy, as much as they acted up, they were still better than the vulgarists of the feudal era, at the very least knowing what was right and what was wrong.

Facing Cheng Ziang’s slow advance, the girl’s arrogance and resistance gradually faded, her body curled up and trembling with sobs, her pale cheeks streaked with glistening tears.

Cheng Ziang didn’t touch her but stopped a step away from her and chuckled, "So you see, you’re not at all prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice. You think the worst outcome is getting killed, but do you know there’s a fate worse than death, a state of neither living nor dying you cannot escape from?"

After saying this, Cheng Ziang backed away from the girl now in a stupor, and waved to Feng, instructing her in Tasta, "Feng, tie her up and take her away."

"Understood!" Feng nodded, then sheathed her sword and took out zip ties, slowly approaching the girl.

"As for you, I’m giving you two choices," Cheng Ziang said to the maid, "Either get captured along with your miss, or go back the way you came and tell your Patriarch that if he wants her back, he needs to bring the ransom money here."

"I..." the maid looked at the girl and hesitated.

"Think carefully," Cheng Ziang added, "If no one goes to report, Yichuan Hong will surely assume his daughter is dead, and by then, there will be no more chances for you two to be saved."

"I..." Taking a deep breath, the maid turned to the girl and bowed deeply, then said with an emotional voice, "Miss, I do not intend to abandon you, please wait for me, I will go back and call for someone to rescue you."

Then, facing Cheng Ziang, she knelt down and kowtowed several times, pleading, "Please, do not harm my mistress, whatever you ask we will satisfy, please just don’t harm my mistress."

"Enough, enough, get going, who’s interested in that flat-chested girl," Cheng Ziang waved his hand, showing impatience.

As she was still growing, the girl’s chest was not prominent, and was even less than Feng’s.

After profuse thanks, the maid stood up and, clutching her skirt, hurriedly turned and left. The girl watched dazedly as the maid disappeared into the distance; and when her figure was completely out of sight at the end of the road, it was as if a switch had been flipped — the girl suddenly burst into loud sobs.

"Heh, looks like it was all an act just now," Cheng Ziang said with a mocking laugh.

"Wow, Old Cheng, what did you do to make this girl cry like this?" Hu Daoke walked over and asked curiously.

"Nothing much, just scared her a bit," Cheng Ziang said as he dusted off his hands and spoke to Feng, "Feng, knock her out and then Old Hu will take her and leave immediately. I suspect there might be an ambush around."

"Why are you so sure?" asked Hu Daoke, somewhat surprised.

"Not sure, just intuition," Cheng Ziang said seriously.

Feng nodded, then punched the girl’s upper abdomen directly, causing her to double over in pain. Following that, Feng applied a chokehold on her neck. The girl who had just caught her breath couldn’t move and within mere seconds her eyes rolled back and she stopped crying, knocked out by Feng.

"Damn, who taught you that?" Hu Daoke asked admiringly.

"My old man," Cheng Ziang said with a somewhat ugly expression, "That guy even knows the cross-hold. He really mastered both Eastern and Western techniques."

Such chokeholds are extremely risky, and Feng knew how to control the timing to safely knock someone out. If it were a novice, the girl would probably have been choked to death by now.

After a brief exchange, Hu Daoke hoisted the girl on his shoulder, and the group tidied up a bit before evacuating the scene.

They had barely left the side of the road by two hundred meters when Feng clearly sensed a dangerous aura. People were converging on them, and they were no ordinary people. Those that Feng’s senses could accurately detect were typically cultivators.

"Don’t worry about anything, just keep running. I’ll take care of these people," Cheng Ziang said while jogging lightly.

Then he pulled out a pendant from around his neck, clutched it in his hand, held it to his mouth, and whispered, "Liseya, I need help."

Soon after, Feng captured a distinctly more dangerous aura. It wasn’t just her; even Cheng Ziang could feel that magic was quickly gathering around them.

"Kill all the enemies nearby!" Cheng Ziang was succinct, as the crystal on the pendant flickered as if responding to his demand.

The magic began to fluctuate chaotically, and continuous screams came from the surrounding jungle. They were heart-wrenching screams filled with despair and terror.

The group didn’t have time to pay attention to the surrounding tragedy; they just knew to rush headlong on their way to escape. They ran for about an hour and finally made it through the jungle to their dwelling.

By this time, the screaming had completely stopped, and Liseya had returned to her position at Cheng Ziang’s side. Feng, standing by, could clearly sense a huge threat looming over Cheng Ziang’s head.

She had been attacked by Liseya before, so she knew the pain of being heartrendingly torn apart. Now, Liseya was no longer the novice they had encountered in the ancient tomb.

Liseya would continuously learn the skills of killing, and now she had mastered the ability to hunt cultivators from the East Continent. If Feng were to engage with her now, it wouldn’t be as simple as just being subdued.

However, thankfully, Feng was now a member of the Advance Team. And Liseya, as Cheng Ziang’s guardian deity, only took orders from him. They had ceased to be enemies long ago.

Catching his breath, Cheng Ziang picked up the crystal and sincerely said, "Thank you."

As if responding to Cheng Ziang’s thanks, the crystal flickered once more. Immediately afterward, Feng noticed that the obvious threat had disappeared—clearly, Liseya had dispersed her magic and returned to the crystal.

This was the first time Cheng Ziang had utilized Liseya in this operation. In addition to feeling grateful, he couldn’t help but feel a hint of fear. Liseya was far too convenient for him, and he worried that he might become overly dependent on her and cause uncontrollable violence and the killing of innocents.

Let’s not forget, Luo’er was a gentleman, but Cheng Ziang’s moral standards weren’t much lower than his. Even in a chaotic world, he was loath to resort to senseless slaughter through martial prowess.
