Chapter 1286 - 1279: Political Mobilization

Chapter 1286: Chapter 1279: Political Mobilization

"Gentlemen, I offer a new perspective," Luo’er picked up, "In our country’s concept, we should not simply define friends and foes based on race or nation but should consider our relations based on tangible benefits."

"Dongsheng’s commander has no interest in West Outer Heaven, which means there’s no direct conflict of interest with the Demon Clan, so, fundamentally, there is a possibility for cooperation. On such grounds, if we could reach some consensus, we might achieve the greatest results at the minimal cost."

"A good idea," Bai Po nodded, approving Luo’er’s viewpoint.

"That is, the Dongsheng commander’s disinterest in West Outer Heaven gives us a foundation for cooperation. And their disdain for those generals adds a motive for cooperation..." Linglan pondered and analyzed.

"Exactly, if we only consider military capability or armed force, it’d be difficult for us to defeat the Dongsheng Empire. But if we could be a bit flexible, we could gain many advantages. Though it won’t allow our soldiers to win without a fight, it could at least minimize our losses to the greatest extent," Luo’er nodded.

"How do the leaders feel about this?" Linglan seemed moved and looked expectantly at everyone.

"I agree with Luo’er’s view," Zisu immediately chimed in.

"Though it’s not a great solution, it’s certainly not too bad either. It’s much better than having no solution at all," Yunji shrugged, her attitude clear despite her indirect words.

"As long as it reduces our losses, that would suffice," Zhuyan agreed, nodding at the other two Beast Head Tribe leaders.

"Captain Luo’er, do you have a method to proceed?" Tuya gazed at Luo’er, asking in a composed manner.

"Yes!" Luo’er nodded, affirmatively.

"What do you think?" Tuya asked, turning to Bai Po.

"Can we trust you, Captain Luo’er?" Bai Po inquired.

"You can, at least for now, and perhaps in the future as well; our interests align, don’t they?" Luo’er responded.

"Then we shall entrust this to you, Captain Luo’er, in hopes that you will bring new changes for Abisien," Bai Po and Tuya exchanged glances and nodded.

After the meeting, as Luo’er walked back, he suddenly heard someone calling him from behind. He had just turned around when a soft, fragrant figure burrowed into his arms.

"Thank you, Luo’er, I never thought you could revive Abisien. You know, we had almost lost hope of reclaiming South West Outer Heaven. Without you, our clan might have been destined to wander," Zisu sniffed emotionally.

"Uh, could you let go of me first?" According to the principle of not touching between men and women, Luo’er didn’t dare to embrace her and just awkwardly held up his arms.

"I can’t, I am too emotional right now," Zisu murmured, her head lowered.

"In fact, I am also considering our well-being, so don’t get too excited," Luo’er scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I knew you would say that. You always claim you’re selfish, but from your actions, I can see that you really do care about us, right?" Zisu asked.

"Uh... ahem..." Luo’er found himself at a loss for words, only managing a sheepish cough.

He looked down at the small head resting against his chest, the soft, long hair topped with constantly trembling fuzzy ears. The Demon Clan people really liked to flutter their ears, especially when their emotions were intense; their ears moved very conspicuously.

Gazing at the furry touch of her ears, Luo’er tried several times to control his hands, but eventually, he could not restrain himself. He sighed deeply, then placed his hand on Zisu’s head, unable to stop himself from beginning to stroke it.

"Mm..." Noticing Luo’er’s gesture, Zisu neither refused nor rejected but just murmured, allowing Luo’er to continue.

After a long silence, Luo’er suddenly spoke, "We come from a civilized world, educated by civilization. I say this not to flaunt the superiority that civilization brings, but to tell you that in our concept, any invasion, no matter the purpose or form, is undeniably abhorrent. Therefore, I am fighting for myself, for you, and for justice."

"You always speak such high-minded words in these contexts," Zisu looked up at Luo’er, her voice tinged with melancholy.

"Otherwise, I wouldn’t know what to say," Luo’er blinked, his reply tinged with awkwardness.

"Have you never felt affection for someone?" Zisu asked.

"I’ve already fallen for you, so I dare not continue," Luo’er said.

"Okay..." Hearing Luo’er’s response, Zisu understood his stance, and released him with a bitter expression.

Taking a deep breath, Zisu tried to put on a smile, then looked up at Luo’er and said, "We are good friends, right, always have been?"

"Yes, always," Luo’er nodded in response.

"Whenever, wherever, I can trust you, right?" Zisu continued to ask.

"Yes, if I ever plan to deceive you, I’ll tell you," Luo’er said.

"Planning to deceive me and then telling me about it? What are you thinking?" Zisu laughed.

"May the willing be caught," Luo’er said.

"Okay," Zisu nodded and then withdrew her gaze, saying, "I guess when the time comes, I’ll be deceived terribly by you."

"Uh..." Luo’er started to say something but then stopped.

"Get some rest early," Zisu turned around and glanced back at him.

"You too," Luo’er nodded.

"Ah, the romance," Luo’er watched Zisu leave, a familiar voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

"Stop with the nonsense, I’ve got enough on my plate, I’m not in the mood for that sort of thing," Luo’er waved his hands and turned away, mumbling to himself.

"Why do so many girls like you?" Fulajie’er muttered.

"Because I’m handsome," Luo’er said with a smile.

"You are becoming more honest now, in the past when someone complimented your looks, you would blush to the tips of your ears," Fulajie’er laughed.

"Isn’t that a good thing?" Luo’er asked.

"Of course not, it’s less fun teasing you," Fulajie’er stated bluntly.

"You guys..." Luo’er laughed without a word.

"But seriously, Luo’er, you are quite impressive," after a while, Fulajie’er suddenly spoke.

"In what way?" Luo’er asked curiously.

"Look," Fulajie’er said, "I really didn’t know how to deal with those stubborn folks during the meetings, and I didn’t expect that with just a few words from you, they all agreed to your plan, even Tuya, who always disagrees with us, approved of your plan, you’re really amazing."

"Haha, Tuya is just a representative of the will of the Beast Head Tribe, he does not oppose us because he likes to, but because he represents the stance of the three tribes of the Beast Head Clan. I’m not turning decay into magic; I just made the facts clear. Any clear-eyed person can see the danger, and I believe the three tribes of the Beast Head Clan won’t overlook it," Luo’er waved his hand and explained.

"Regardless, your eloquence is truly impressive," Fulajie’er said, "I’ve always thought that sending you to fight in wars is a waste of talent, you should be a minstrel at the rear, inspiring everyone’s morale."

"I’m the Captain, if I don’t lead by example in battle, how am I to command the troops," Luo’er shrugged.

"Don’t give me that, everyone would rather have you stay in the rear, it’s you who insists on going to the frontline," Fulajie’er said straightforwardly.

Luo’er did not continue the conversation, because through his dialogue with Fulajie’er, he seemed to have discovered his new potential: to engage in political mobilization.

With his level of consciousness and eloquence, mobilizing the entire Demon Clan to unite tightly against the invasion of the Dongsheng Empire shouldn’t be difficult. Indeed, just as Fulajie’er said, sending him to fight was somewhat a misplacement of talents.
