Chapter 1188 - 1181: Plan B

Chapter 1188: Chapter 1181: Plan B

"Do, do we have a tail?" Fulanta’s eyes widened, surprised once again.

Hu Daoke didn’t say anything but squinted at him.

"Absolutely not intentional, I, I really didn’t know someone was following behind!" Fulanta stammered in explanation.

"Humph, your family is still in Lipei, I believe you wouldn’t have the guts. Just wait and prepare to evacuate; we’re about to launch an attack," Hu Daoke said with a sneer.

"Yes, yes, thank you for understanding..." Fulanta took a deep breath, breaking out in a cold sweat.

Meanwhile, having received Hu Daoke’s message, Cheng Ziang asked Tangmo, "We’ve picked up the person, should we arrange for a transport plane for extraction?"

"That’s not necessary. At this point in time, transport planes simply dare not land. Have him retreat to the perimeter and meet up with the mountain troops," Tangmo shook his head.

Cheng Ziang nodded, then continued, "Also, according to intelligence from Fulanta, it seems these guys had a banquet last night, so now they’re all asleep in their own rooms, not gathering early as before."

"Then let’s execute Plan B, capturing them room by room!" Tangmo said without hesitation.

"Uh..." Cheng Ziang looked at her, an inexplicable smile spreading across his face.

"What is it?" Noticing his pause, Tangmo turned to look at him.

"Nothing, nothing, just that you make decisions so quickly, hardly seeming to think it over," Cheng Ziang shook his head, still smiling.

"What’s there to think about? We just need to adjust to the pre-war deployment," Tangmo shrugged and glanced at the mechanical watch on her hand.

At this moment, Headquarters had moved onto a transport plane. While Cheng Ziang was giving orders to the communicator, Tangmo patted the sniper guarding the cabin door, "Attack time is approaching, see if you can snipe the target from this altitude!"

"Yes!" The sniper nodded, checked the safety belt, opened the transport plane’s cabin door, and began to aim from a high vantage point.

Their transport plane hovered over a hundred meters above the surrounding buildings, spaced very tightly. People on the ground would not be able to see the hovering transport plane in the sky unless they deliberately looked up.

Moreover, as mentioned before, since the lift of the transport plane was provided by antigravity engines, it did not require movement to maintain lift and could even turn off the propulsion engines to hover noiselessly in the air.

The sniper sat on the deck, legs dangling outside the transport, carefully aiming with his sniper rifle. Since the transport plane was almost motionless, he did not have to worry about the plane’s movement affecting accuracy; he just needed to control it himself.

"Ready to snipe!" The sniper reported without turning his head after adjusting his position.

"Good," Tangmo nodded, then looking at the time, "5:53 AM, prepare for action."

As six o’clock approached, the light cooperatively began to slowly illuminate the earth, making everything around grow bright and warm. Although a cold fog still enveloped the ground, it started dissipating at a visible pace.

It is generally believed that the size and tilt angle of the planets in the Otherworld are similar to Earth’s, so many astronomical and geographical phenomena in the Otherworld are indistinguishable from those on Earth.

Like the angle of direct sunlight: as the Otherworld approached the autumn months, the solar declination also began to move toward the equator. And as Lipei was located in high latitudes, even though it was close to six o’clock, it still didn’t look too bright.

"Prepare for action, countdown, ten, nine, eight, seven... three, two, one!!" As Tangmo murmured the countdown, the sniper sitting on the deck suddenly trembled backward, followed by a brief silence and the sound of a shell casing hitting the deck with a metallic clink.

"High-value target sniped!" The sniper replied coldly.

"Next up, the ground assault team," Tangmo nodded, murmuring to himself.

On the ground, as the countdown ended, Hu Daoke was the first to move. With a running start, he suddenly leapt into the air, activating his super mobility gear; like Superman, he soared several meters high, clearing the pond and vaulting over the three to four-meter-high wall into the estate, landing steadily on the grass.

The two guards who came to take over were utterly astonished to see Hu Daoke fly over the wall. Just as they prepared to lift their rifles from their shoulders to shoot, Hu Daoke suddenly raised his gun and fired several shots at them.

The guns, fitted with magic silencers, emitted no sound of gunfire— the guards only saw the flashes from the muzzle before they slowly fell to the ground, their bodies riddled with numerous bullet holes.

Hu Daoke, formerly a machine gunner, disliked burst fire; so just now, he had unleashed a full-auto barrage at each of them, nearly turning their bodies into sieves.

Nowadays, magic silencers had evolved beyond being mere tubes on the barrel; they had become integrated with the barrel and even the body of the gun, designed to store magic crystals that would power the silencers.

Despite the many problems with magic silencers, such as the difficulty in hiding the flash, the benefit was palpably clear—the complete silencing of gunshots, which was all too vital for covert operations.

After dealing with the duo, his teammates also jumped in one after another. After exchanging glances with them, Hu Daoke reactivated his super mobility gear and leaped towards the building’s high ground.

The group arrived at the entrance of the mansion and quickly met up with the other two assault teams. After exchanging hand signals, they burst through the main gate together and entered the lobby.

Inside the lobby were two maids busied with their chores. Startled by the group of fully armed men charging in, they stood frozen in place, too shocked even to scream.

Seizing the moment of their bewilderment, two assault team members rushed forward, covered the maids’ mouths, tackled them to the ground, then bound their hands and feet with nylon zip ties they carried and sealed their mouths with tape.

This operation targeted the rebels; their weapons were intended for armed forces, so civilians were not within their scope of attack—there was no need for annihilation.

After subduing the maids, the captains of the three assault teams signaled each other, then headed towards their respective targets.

The residential area of the mansion was primarily located on the second floor and above, so the group headed straight upstairs, advancing down the long corridor.

Hu Daoke’s group reached a room first. After exchanging looks, he reached for the doorknob, found the door unlocked, signaled his team members, leaving two outside on guard while the rest followed him as he pushed open the door and swept into the room.

It was a standard guest room with a large bed in the center against the wall. On closer examination, the bed was fitted with a mattress from Earth—it seems that these people from the Otherworld also knew how to enjoy the industrial products of Earth.

In the dimly lit room, a man was fast asleep, completely unaware of the impending danger.

His bed was a mess, with clothes and pants strewn everywhere; combined with signs that someone got out of bed, it wasn’t hard to guess what delightful dreams he had experienced the night before.

However, whatever delightful dreams they were, it was time for a nightmare.

Hu Daoke took a strip of tape from a teammate, held it in both hands, and slowly approached the man on the bed. Then he suddenly pounced forward, sticking the tape accurately over the man’s mouth.

The man, who could no longer snore, woke up in terror, eyes wide with fright; freshly roused from his dreams, he had no time to resist.

Hu Daoke didn’t care about that; after sealing his mouth, he grabbed the man’s wrist, twisted it forcefully, flipped his body over, and pinned him down firmly on the bed.

The man made muffled sounds of horror as two team members pounced on him, holding him down, and bound his hands behind his back with nylon zip ties, securing him tightly.

After binding the man, Hu Daoke breathed a sigh of relief. He noticed the man’s bare buttocks and deliberately slapped it, saying to his team members, "Wrap him up in the blanket, then tie him up tight."
