Chapter 1082: Chapter 1075: Miracle Emerges

"Princess Nina, what are you doing? Calm down, calm down!" Seeing Nina’s actions, both the priests and the soldiers were startled and quickly tried to persuade her.

"No one is allowed to pass, otherwise I will die right before your eyes," Nina said coldly.

"Do you understand what you are doing, Princess Nina?" the priest asked with a frown, completely lacking his usual composure.

"I’m very clear. Either back off, or, step over my dead body," Nina’s stance was resolute to the end.

"Lord Priest, what should we do?" The Elf guards pointed their gun barrels downwards, looking anxiously at the priest.

They had spent over a year mastering these mysterious weapons from Earth, but they never anticipated that the first one they would have to confront would be their own princess.

"We can’t worry about that now. We cannot let them leave, or Ilanadale is doomed. Issue the order, everyone fire at Luo’er, and if Princess Nina interferes, kill her alongside him," the priest said decisively.

"Lord Priest, if we open fire on them, we’ll anger the people from the Otherworld, what do we do if they break off our partnership?" one of the guard leaders asked, with wide eyes.

"That will just prove that Ilanadale is fated not to change. For us, the will of the True Gods is most important. Don’t think about all that nonsense. Aim at Luo’er and fire!" the priest ordered through gritted teeth.

"I dare you!" Nina roared in anger upon hearing the priest’s words, and the gun barrel that was originally pointed at her own head was immediately aimed at the priest and his Elf guards.

"Princess Nina, do you really want to become an enemy of Ilanadale?" the priest asked coldly.

"I believe in Luo’er, I believe in my son. If anyone dares to try and harm him, I will never let it rest," Nina answered without hesitation.

"Damn it, we never should have saved you in the first place. Mixed-bloods like you should never have been allowed into Divine Wood Town!" the priest said angrily.

"Shut up, don’t talk as if we owe you anything. Don’t forget, to save Luo’er, I even gave him up, only then was I able to reclaim the title of princess. That was a tremendous sacrifice on my part," Nina shouted.

"Then you should just give up your right to inherit the throne of Ilanadale!" the priest retorted sharply.

"You think I don’t dare?" Nina said fiercely.

The scene became tense and deadlocked, Nina holding a pistol in both hands, confronting a dozen Elf guards armed with automatic rifles. Her small frame stood in stark contrast to the fully armed Elf soldiers around her.

At this moment, Luo’er was nearly jogging towards the airboat’s hatch. Although he was very worried about Nina, he knew that the sooner he left, the safer Nina would be, so he didn’t even look back, just kept his head down and ran.

"Fire!" As Luo’er’s figure was about to vanish, the priest shouted immediately.

Bang!!!

The first to fire was not the Elf soldiers, but Nina. She dared to actually shoot. As soon as the priest had shouted the first syllable, she had already subconsciously pulled the trigger.

Following Nina’s gunshot, the docks erupted with the chaotic sound of gunfire. The Elf guards, startled by the gunshot, couldn’t care less and also pulled the trigger directly.

Within less than three seconds, both sides exchanged fire, sending hundreds of bullets flying in an instant. But surprisingly, not a single person was injured on the scene. The bullets they fired seemingly disappeared into thin air, not having the intended effect at all.

The bullets fired by the Elf guards and Nina did not vanish, but instead hung suspended and intersecting within an invisible barrier. This barrier intercepted the bullets, freezing them in mid-air.

"Ah, what is this!" the priest exclaimed in shock.

As his call echoed, everyone felt a rapid flow of magic around the dock, creating a very noticeable disturbance of magical energy.

Then, a dazzling light suddenly erupted in midair in front of Nina, so bright that it nearly blinded everyone present.

The priest, barely managing to pry his eyes open, found the sight before him so overwhelming that his knees buckled and he thudded to his knees on the ground.

In midair, a semi-transparent goddess made of soft light appeared between Nina and the priest.

The goddess had delicate and dignified features, with glowing silver-white shoulder-length hair; she wore a long dress woven from light itself, which shimmered and billowed in the wind.

The goddess, approximately twenty meters tall, stood between Nina and the priest, suspended in midair. She spread her arms wide, her eyes gently closed, radiating a kind and benevolent aura as if she was there to stop the conflict among her people.

Following the goddess’s appearance, a tinkling sound echoed on the dock - the bullets that had been floating in mid-air fell to the ground.

"This is, the great Lord Tana!!" The priest was ecstatic, unable to contain himself as he lay prostrate on the ground, crying out loud.

"Lord Tana!" Hearing his exclamation, the faces of the Elf soldiers changed instantly; they laid down their weapons and fell to the ground where they stood. They had just fired at Tana, which was a grave taboo, so now they could only pray for Tana to forgive their transgression.

Nina stood still, gazing upward at the silhouette of the divine apparition before her. She felt so weak at the knees at the sight of the goddess’s appearance, she almost knelt down. But for some reason, looking at the goddess’s back, she felt a sense of deja vu, as if she had seen it somewhere before.

"Is this the True God of the Otherworld, Tana?" Aboard the Airboat, everyone stared, flabbergasted, at the scene unfolding before them; Axia and Talis, members of the Elf Race, were so frightened they almost collapsed to the ground, evident of the impact Tana had on the Elves.

"This...haha..." Luo’er stared blankly at the goddess’s silhouette, before eventually breaking into silent laughter.

Setting aside the fact that the silhouette was very familiar to him, even if he hadn’t recognized it, he was certain that the goddess before him was not Tana because he truly had seen Tana.

The most distinct feature of Tana was her thousands of faces; she had no specific image. Whatever you envisioned in your heart when you saw her, that’s what she would appear to be. That’s why Luo’er could see a Tana resembling his mother.

So, if Luo’er didn’t recognize the silhouette, he just had to ask around later. If everyone shared the same vision, then it would prove not to be Tana. If each person saw something different, then it might indeed be Tana.

To imitate Tana was easy in all other respects except for this one. Tana directly influenced everyone’s subjective judgment. As a deity, she had the power to do so.

Cheng Ziang noticed Luo’er’s silent smile. He narrowed his eyes and continued to stare at the goddess’s silhouette for a long while before he, too, eventually showed a smile.

The divine phenomenon lasted for about ten seconds, and during this time, Luo’er had already boarded the Airboat, which was also leaving the water, slowly ascending. Now unless Ilanadale had anti-aircraft guns or surface-to-air missiles, it was already too late.

Ten seconds later, as the Airboat rose about ten meters above the water, the image of the goddess suddenly dissipated like mist, leaving no trace that she had ever existed—other than the bullets intercepted on the ground.

"Mom, Luo’er is safe now!" At this moment, the still-shaken Nina heard a mischievous girl’s voice in her head.

Upon hearing it, she breathed a deep sigh of relief, then slumped to the ground, looking up at the sky and muttering to the air, "Thank you for your help just now..."

"Hehe, did I do a good job imitating her?" Fulajie’er asked bashfully.

"How did you know what Tana looks like?" Nina asked, puzzled.

She could tell that Fulajie’er’s impersonation wasn’t done on a whim, but was carefully crafted. Knowing that the Priest, as the intermediary between the Elves and Tana, could not possibly fail to recognize Tana, if Fulajie’er had impersonated her casually, she would have been exposed by the Priest right away. Now that he was kneeling on the ground, clearly, Fulajie’er’s disguise was successful.
